More meat please: I really want to give a four star, the service was great and the hoagie/sub is delicious but it is lack meat. Very scarce on the meat side, I would prefer they charge a buck more and add more meat or at least have an extra meat option. There are pictures posted of the antipasto salad and it is loaded with meat, maybe that is the way to go. What can I say about my favorite local hoagie shop? I HEART Delio's Deli. I can't say enough good things about this sandwich shop. Kim and Eli Safi have a wonderful product. Their sandwiches are made with Dietz and Watzon premium lunch meat and Egypt Star Rolls. In the Lehigh Valley, you can't beat Egypt Star bread. Their cheese steaks are on the top of my list as well. They are only open Monday - Friday. I wish they had weekend hours. If you plan on taking out during the week during the lunch hour, be aware it's a high volume place. Call in your order and tell Mr. Eli I sent you. He will have you order ready for you to pick up. I recommend the spicy Italian hoagie, the California fried chicken hoagie, and the cheese steak. If you like you steak spicy, tell Kim to cook the cherry peppers into the steak! This is how the true Delio's faithful do it. Eli is also very capable for all you catering needs. The Delio's super sub is 5 feet I think, and it can feed six to eight people easily. I often order these for my coach's meeting. I forgot to mention the tuna hoagie. Made fresh everyday. Literally the BEST sandwich shop I have ever been too. We arrived a bit before the lunch rush so had no wait. Service was fast and very friendly. The gentleman behind the counter went above and beyond - checking in on us and offering to take our plates at the end. I ordered the buffalo chicken philly. It was DELICIOUS. A small was more than enough when it came to portions, and it was filled with a ton of meat (no skimping here). My husband ordered an Italian sub and, this being his first official hoagie, was extremely impressed. I even found myself stealing bites of his sandwich. The location was convenient - right by the airport- easy in and easy out. They even take call ahead orders if you are in a hurry. I don't know what more I can add that other yelpers have not already. The subs are excellent. The cold cuts are quality, and the bread has that perfect "tear / chew" ratio (for those that know, the bread really makes or breaks the sandwich). Have had the salads that people talked about (mac, potato) and yes...as stated...they are all homemade and very good. If there is a "go to", I'd opt for the Italian. In your mind when you think of an Italian sub (before you get one from someplace) you have an image what it should look and taste like. Then when you get it you are either elated or disappointed. When you get the DeLio's one....it will match up to the perfect one in your mind. DO NOT GET A LARGE unless you plan on saving some for later. I went there last week with my wife. The owner was a bit Cocky . He kept telling my wife how he was in Business for 14 years and that he has the best sandwiches in the whole Lehigh valley!! So we tried the Classic Turkey and Roast beef. And the meat had no Flavor. He uses Dietz and Watson Deli meat. That could be the problem! Thumann's deli meat has better flavor!!! Also his rolls taste like they come from Redner's bakery in Allentown PA. Even Boars head makes a better deli meat!!! The only good thing was the he gave u a big sandwich and it was not expensive !!! There's also not enough spaces to park . If he get better quality Deli meat I will come back and try it again . But until then I can get a better sandwich at Subway!!!! read more

This is hands down the best deli around. We are from the poconos and will go all the way to airport rd to get amazing hogie from them. That's about a 45 minute trip. Fresh ingredients amazing bread, generous portions and the owners are the nicest people. The menu doesn't even stop at hogie with a lot more to offer, they even cater! Best sandwiches in the valley!!! I work in the area and come here about once a week and I have never ate anything here that wasn't delicious. My goal is to try everything on the menu! I have driven up here on my day from Easton where I live because I was craving their Italian. Great food, great staff and great hometown deli atmosphere. Hands down some of the best sandwiches in he lehigh valley. Every single item I've from here is amazing. I usually get the California fried chicken sandwich and oh my god it's to die for.
