She was really flexible with my changing head count and just shared the minimum cost which was around $330. She had me choose what design I wanted to paint in advance too, which was easy! Review - I planned this for my birthday and I had such a fun time. Davina really walks you through the steps in an easy to understand way and shows you how to do each step on her own canvas. It was totally fun and doable for my friends who are not generally crafting people! The studio has great decorations and ambiance, Davina gave us glasses, glow in the dark hair clip, and a hat to take home with us. The final painting is so pretty and glows in the dark. Super recommend, especially for kids, families, friends. COVID - we didn't wear masks but you could wear masks. Davina shared she is vaxxed and boosted.

The teacher/host was friendly, had good painting tips and guidance, and was very enthusiastic with his work. And dang it, painting is hard! This time it was Starry Night in San Diego. But I went off on a tangent and added a AT-AT, Death Star, Klingon Bird of Prey, a USS Enterprise, Star Destroyer, a Borg Cube, and an Ion Cannon, but no one seems to see that, doh! Unlike the 1st Grade, the teacher did not scold me or give me a "F" for not following instructions. IRONY: We paid $30, but it does not include wine, you still have to buy wine(or whatever) at the venue. Luckily it was still Happy Hour, so I got a beer for only $4. I might have subtracted a star it if it was more expensive, but since they call themselves "Wine and Paint" they should at least include a crappy plastic cup of Charles Shaw or Tisdale. Right? I still had a great time, so I'm going to let that slide... Note: I'm not a single guy, but if you are, this good place to meet girls...the class comprised of about 25 girls, me, and a very bored looking guy dragged here by girlfriend. Just place yourself in strategic spot...you'll have just over 3 hours to turn your small talk into a Facebook Friend Request, or more.

Word to the wise, pray for perfect weather when you book a paint party otherwise you'll be…read morecancelled on and lose your deposit. I booked Stephanie to do a paint party to celebrate a good friend's 60th birthday. Unfortunately on the day of the event there was a thunderstorm for about an hour during the day, approximately 2-3 hours prior to event time. Was there thunder and lightning, yes. Was there rain for a little bit of time, yes. Was there hail for a little bit, yes. Did all this stop prior to the event, YES. One of the gals who was coming to the event stated that the roads were safe to drive on, she was coming from close to the area that Stephanie was coming from. All this weather report is to lead to the fact that Stephanie cancelled the event due to fact that she didn't feel safe to drive to my place to conduct the painting party. Her decision to cancel was most definitely her prerogative. Where the negative review comes into play is that even though SHE made the decision to cancel, she would only refund 50% of the deposit I paid. I acknowledge that her booking policy is deposits are non-refundable. She stated that refunding 50% was more than she needed to do due to the circumstances. However, for most businesses deposits are in place for if the customer chooses to cancel. But apparently Stephanie's policy covers even if she chooses to cancel so the consumer is screwed out of money. How is that fair? This was to celebrate a friend's special birthday so rescheduling was not an option, can one reschedule turning 60? That would be nice, but not possible. Stephanie even went so far to toss an insult out that I cared more about a birthday party than I did her safety, insert eye roll emoji here. Drama much. All in all, like I started in the beginning pray for perfect weather otherwise she'll make the decision to cancel and keep your $$.

A week ago, my friend and I happened to stumble upon a Pawcasso event at our favorite local…read morewatering hole & on a whim decided to try it out. SO GLAD WE DID. From the start, the paint party was purrrfectly prepared with the photos of our precious pooches set at easels with paints. The instructions were always easy to follow and if you weren't the most artistically blessed, Stephanie was right there to help you!! My friend and I honestly had the most amazing time, not only between the two of us, but with the other fellow pet lovers as well. Not to mention, our amazing instructor, Stephanie, & her lovely assistant/ daughter, had the most admirable mother daughter dynamic. The entire time, our group was joking around, enjoying food & drinks, and best of all, sharing adorable facts about our beloved fur babies. We will definitely be doing another one of these classes ASAP.

This particular "Paint & Vino" was hosted by instructor, Nataly, at the Beach Terrace Inn, Carlsbad, Paint Your Pet event. Ahhhhmazing location overlooking the ocean with a lovely patio, comfy seating and Nataly generously offered us wine and lemonade. If you come to this particular one, come early to find parking as it is right on the beach especially in good weather like today on a Saturday. And bring your Scooby snacks and favorite beverage since you will be painting your pet for a while. I couldn't believe 3 hours had passed!!! We were having so much fun. Nataly is lovely and helps you out as much as you need. Supplies all the materials you will need. She's very generous, kind and knowledgeable. You will enjoy this so much even if you've never picked up a paint brush. No judgement, only FUNNN.

Our instructor was kind & there was another staff member walking around refilling our paint. It was a very large class & the last time I did a Paint n Sip, I felt like we had more hands on instruction with the instructor. The class did take longer than anticipated so it felt a bit rushed towards the end. Dress light because it is very warm in there. They have wine & beer you can order & snacks.
