First, take into account, I have car that can almost get into the 9's. So this one might be a…read morelittle bias. Having raced on over 7 different NHRA tracks, I feel that I can judge this track. Since it is only a IHRA approved track, I didn't expect all the safety precautions a full NHRA track would provide. They did have the standard EMS standing by. They do require helmets and require you to have your windows rolled up, but that is about it. I think there are roll cage requirements, but not sure of that one. I've been to this track about 4 times and really didn't enjoy any of the visits. First: every time I went, there were a lot of import cars there. Not that I mind that anybody races, in fact, i have helped a few of them with their engines while waiting in line. But for some reason this crowd seems to be very arrogant. Second: On more than on occasion their were people who ran there air conditioners while in line and caused water condensation at the staging. Third: If you have a car that is in the 10's stay away from the right lane. Not only is there a small hump about 3/4 of the way down the track, the finish line isn't lit up or have any notification (except the stripe, which is very hard to see at night). Many times, i didn't get out of the gas soon enough and thank goodness for the brembo rotors and wilwood brakes. I litterally hopped around the corner for the shutdown. Overall the track is good for slower cars, but If you start pushing the 10's you might want to go somewhere else.

We dry camped overnight at Little River Dragway on June 6th in order to attend a private event on…read morethe grounds the following morning that was hosted at the venue the following day. The June 6th drag race was a bonus to this stay as we hadn't been aware that the strip had reopened for their regular season. As I've never attended races in person, it was definitely an exciting night. This venue does not take credit/debit cards, so remember to carry cash for concessions if you would like to purchase refreshments from the onsite vendors. Hearing protection is very important if you are on site for the races or time trials before hand as some of these engines are insanely loud. Keep in mind that the stands are not shaded and you will want sun screen. We look forward to attending the regular races again later in the season and hope to attend another event in order to enjoy the quarter mile strip in our our rally car or on our motorcycle.

Best to sign the waiver off their website before you arrive as it speeds up the checking-in process. The park is split into two parts. Trails behind the building (on the left) are primarily for motorbikes, UTVs and SxS, although they can also play with the big boys on the right side of the trails. The day I went was a day after two straight days of rain, and I wanted to get my Jeep dirty. But since we had been dry for so long all of the rain was quickly absorbed. However, there were quite of few puddles on some of the dirt trails and the two creek beds had low water flow. There's nothing quite like easing my Jeep into a muddy trail, feeling the tires search for traction while the suspension twists and flexes over rocks. Every obstacle is a challenge, every climb a test of machine and driver, and every successful ascent feels earned rather than given. In the driver's seat, it's controlled chaos. Your heart races not because you're out of control, but because you're constantly balancing risk, skill, and determination against the terrain. That's just a part of what DOMO offers to the off roading adventurer. I plan to return and keep testing my Jeep and hope to improve my driving skills. The one thing to consider is you will share the trails with other 4x4s and smaller vehicles like motocross bikes. UTVs and SxS. Courtesy goes a long way.

What an awesome experience!!! We drove down from Dallas to take my 16 year old son to do a one day…read morecourse and it was one of the most exciting days ever. They have a really neat program to teach drivers the techniques for rally driving and it works. Wes and Scott were super and really focused on safety and having fun. Their program is focused on showing you what needs to be done, doing the skills, taking a break to let is soak in, and then doing it again. It's very well structured and by the end of the day they were doing the slalom course with a lot of confidence. As for the team, I didn't meet anyone at Rally Ready that wasn't outgoing, personable, and just plain nice. They love rallying, but are genuinely good people. It's not about pulling people in to stack the house, but about teaching a subject which they are passionate about. I couldn't believe it when my employer told us that they were taking us to drive exotic cars for a…read morecorporate event. As a long time car enthusiast, it was right up my alley. We drove up from Houston, but it was very worth it. The track is on a hillside and there is plenty of elevation change that makes the track much more interesting than flat tracks here. In our group, the drivers' physical builds were as different as the vehicle cockpits. But we were given ample opportunity to sit in all of them to pick out one that we felt was most comfortable. A few others in our group were set on driving the GT3 so I let them have at it (and still beat them.). I drove the Huracan and the 488. The instructors are excellent-- all former racing drivers. They work you up to speed as your skills allow, and push you do your best. The track is tight and challenging, and yes, the cars are full power. Top speeds are limited by the track, your skill, the insurance you purchase, and your sense of self-preservation. I looked up pricing after the event and found it to be very reasonable. A coworker and I had so much fun that we are planning to come back on our own for more practice. Thanks guys!
