For the bad review on yelp, Are you sure you are reviewing the correct doctor??? When Dr. Mich retired recently (due to health issues), he had my bloodwork numbers the best they have ever been in my life. I feel lucky to have been able to see Dr. Mich all of these years and it was a pleasure getting to know him.

His response was to berate my parents (both in their 80s), disparage the hospital and doctors who worked there and put her back on the medications that contributed to her being rushed to the hospital. When my mother ask for a referral to get a second opinion, a very common request, he refused to give her one unless she left his practice. After I independently set up an appointment for my mother to see another physician to get a second opinion, and personally talked with Dr. Mieczkowski about my concerns, he dismissed my mother from his practice the same day. My advice to anyone looking to go to this doctor is to do your research on the Internet. It's amazing what is now public data that you can find.

The nurse at check in immediately rushed us to the Emergency unit when she heard the sound of my son's cough. She could've easily let us sit there and wait out turn but she heard something wasn't right and acted. Everyone in the staff were nice and attentive. They even offered to prescribe a prescription for an issue I didn't even go there for and then called me weeks later to see how he was doing on the medication. I was so anxious about the anesthesia, but, the nurse anesthetist was wonderful to make me feel everything would be okay. Also, when I called my own doctor it was going to take me a week to get in!! So I stopped at the Little Clinic after work one day without an appointment. Within 20 minutes I was seen by the nurse, diagnosed, and waiting for my prescription. I waited about another 20 minutes and had my prescription and was on my way. All in all, awesome. I didn't have to take a day off work and got my issue taken care of in under an hour!!

The facility is nice, clean and has good equipment. Every staff member was nice. I had Ashly and Scott as therapist's and they were both wonderful. They showed me what I could do on my own at home so that I could continue working on range of motion access while not there and it means so much to have that personal help. I experienced more than therapy when I was there. I experienced funny/fun conversations, caring personalities and comfort. I appreciate the time I spent there :)

The specialist area is really nice and well-mainted. We mostly see Neurology and Urology here and everyone is great. My son has been to the ER twice here. Most recently in January 2022. Wait time has been very minimal both times. The first time he was little and swallowed a dime. Everyone was great with him. I liked that they brought the x-ray to us in the room. That was great. The second time he was in because he was really dehydrated from the stomach flu. Again everyone working was great with him and really made sure he was okay and that I was okay as well. Ample parking and easy to get to right off the highway.

Both of my kids went to this group for years. Usually I went to a great nurse practitioner but my…read moreson had severe bleeding so I asked for a doctor because I was scared to death. Long story short after several months of no resolution we asked to go to a GI doctor. Willimitus sent the request but did not send it as a priority so we had 3 months wait to get in. I asked him to resend it as a priority due to the severity of his symptoms but he would not do it. When I called the GI myself trying to get a earlier date they said the pediatrician had to do it. The pediatrician is the only one that can do this and as we learned this would only take a few minutes of his time to complete. After we waited for several weeks because he would not make the phone call to get him in sooner we took him to the ER. The ER nurse calling us with the results got us in at Childrens GI within a week because his results were so bad he needed immediate attention. After this happened we got a new pediatrician and they only asked where to send his file and they never asked why we switched or followed up with us to see what the problem was or how he was doing. Although they did call to ask for the 20 dollars to transfer the records (which I had already paid). My son was living with a severe case of ulcerative colitis and today he no longer has a colon. He went more than several months without being treated although we kept pushing. By the time he was treated he was jaundice, lost 40 pounds, iron deficient going to the restroom at least a dozen times a day. But, Willimitus would never know that because my son was just a number to him. I know now if I would of stayed with the nurse practitioner she would of been on top of it, she would of made sure he was seen by the GI Specialist as a priority. Boy did I make the biggest mistake of my life when I asked for Willimitus.

I would not I trust this underwhelming facility with a loved one. My family member was placed in Heartland of Springfield for a season of recovery after a severe neck injury (little to no mobility, non-self advocating). During the time at Heartland, my family member was neglected. Barely bathed, clothes and bedding were not washed or changed. They went many nights without sleep due to the constant banger of a roommate who had more mobility, fine motor skills and self-direction. My voice fell on deaf ears when I brought my concerns to facility administration, and the Director of Nursing. Unit Staff do not communicate, and are slow in response. The facility seems understaffed and in need of an audit or QA inspection. It's a shame to see human beings, who are not self-advocating, to be neglected for hours. Heartland these are still our mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, sons, daughters, cousins and friends we love. Please do your job as a health care professional and start giving the care and attention our love ones deserve.
