If I could rate a Zero I would. My mother was there for PT…read morerehab for a broken leg/hip. One aide, Amy, was fantastic. The care beyond her was atrocious. In less than 48 hours my mother was taken, by ambulance, to the ER for shortness of breath. I stopped by one week later to give them an update to find her room cleaned out & her belongings boxed up! We never rec'd written notice or a phone call re: "bed hold", which I am only now familiar with. Now the staff & administration are lying trying to cover their tracks because they did not adhere to the state standards and requirements. The food, when delivered to her room, was ice cold, inedible. The evening aide turned the a/c, in her room, to 62 both nights. That was the care she got overnight. I do not recommend Cypress to care for your loved ones.

Hi it's been four years since I was at this facility for rehabilitation after a car accident. I…read morehad broken my neck and needed slot of rehabilitation. There was a young guy who came in every night before leaving who washed if I needed anything before he left for home. I can not say that there wasn't a person who wasn't caring and nice. I can only speak of my experience there and I was so thankful that they got me strong enough to go home. Also the family must stay involved with your care. At any nursing facility it's a must. Thanks to all who was involved of my care. The food was okay. If they had something that I didn't care for they offered me something else. I suggest that if something is going g wrong get in touch with the owner.

I would like to recognize and thank the wonderful staff at Heartland for taking such excellent care…read moreof my dad Tom Murray during his extensive stay there. All of the staff, most especially Cheryl and Sarita, went way above the call of duty to care for my dad and assist our family during this difficult time. Thank you Heartland!

Years ago, I would have given the place a 4. Like any nursing home (and this is just my opinion…read morebased on my involvement with nursing homes for almost 20 years), the care will be insufficient for residents who cannot speak for themselves or they have someone speaking for them. Anyone who tells you they know the resident is doing great because their nurse via phone says so is full of something brown and smelly. State ratings regarding Aydan did not affect the decision to put a relative here. It was based on visits to see others, casual observations, watching interactions, the number of people not getting out of bed... You can see a lot on your own which is wiser than trusting the State to decide what is worth a five star to THEM and not YOU. I ask people all the time when checking out nursing homes... Did you walk up and down the hallway and see how many people were up and about? Moving on, the communication is terrible. If you are told at a care plan that you will be contacted about a concern later on, you will not. You can leave messages but those will be ignored as well. Do you have a loved one with a questionable, dark area around the eye? That say.... Aydan has no record of but you have pics? Do you have a loved one in this establishment with Parkinson's and you wonder to yourself how many times that bowl of soup has spilled? Don't worry about burns. That's a huge plus for Aydan. There are no burns going on here because the food and drink are cold. Would you like to talk at Tim, the administrator? You can if he's in the mood. He will assure you that whatever issue you have will be looked into and By Golly, he WILL get back with you. Yeah, like no, he will not. In all fairness, he might if you are private pay. Are you sure that your assumption that the nurses, et. al. know why your loved one is on a particular med is correct? Or do you put that assumption aside, look up the med which is for a diagnosis you did not know your loved one had and, during a care plan, discover that hey!!! nurses don't know why that was prescribed either? Would you be shocked to hear them apologize, the med discontinued and the subject never brought up again? Yeah, I wasn't either.

I'm writing this review with misty eyes. I'm overwhelmed with gratitude, filled with such great joy…read moreI can hardly stand it!! THIS is the moment I've been dreaming of ever since the injury so long ago that in one step took my running dream from me and convinced me I'd never run again. Today, thanks to the team of professionals at Drayer, I am victorious! Today, I ran. Not just some little baby run, careful and wobbly, reserved and hesitant. Oh no. I'm talking about the kind of run that sets my wild spirits free, lets me feel the wind in my hair, and air beneath my wings! This is the unrestrained power in the graceful gallop of wild horses, as they discover what it means to be alive! The kind of run that inspires me and fills me with electric excitement as I internalize the possibility of reaching my ultimate goal is not lost after all: running from Dayton to Cincinnati. YES! I want to DO that!! I'm *going* to do that someday! I can and I will! These guys will be with me training up to it, and these guys will get the credit after I do. Without them, it wouldn't be possible. I have my life back. Thanks to the incredible experts at Drayer Physical Therapy (DOC) my dream is not dead, I am stronger than I've ever been, and I CAN RUN!! Do you have any idea how that makes me feel?! Oh my GOSH! Indescribable!! Just when I thought it was over, little had I known the real story line, my main adventure, had only just begun. THANK YOU, ERIC & TEAM!!! (I'll edit to add names later, I've GOT to post this now!) *I had chosen to save the writing of my review for this particular moment so I could share it with you, dear reader, straight from the heart and now I have. Today is the day I was *finally* able to run again to the fullest extent of my ability - without fear, without pain, knowing I am strong and well balanced, and ready to take the next steps toward achieving my performance dreams. It's not me, it's them. That's good news for all of us--because it means if you need help healing from an injury (sports injury or otherwise) they CAN help you! You can have your life back! I can't believe I waited years before I listened to my primary care doc and finally did it. Don't be like me. LOL If you have something you need help with, aches pains and physical disability/injury, PLEASE contact them, prepare to work hard, do your home exercises and make sure to thank them when you're better! Wow, guys. Thank you. *sniff* I'm forever grateful. Jessie
