The playground is awesome. Taylor Swift went to high school in Hendersonville. So she herself paid for the playground equipment for the kids. And I must say the playground equipment itself is super cute! Love the castle. It's awesome to see celebrities give back to their hometown. And they have a take a book leave a book library for the kids. Amazing! 2. Such a great spot for a quick fishing trip. I always see lots of people on the shore fishing and a few in their kayaks as well. On our most recent trip, my father in law caught a small bass. Of course we let it back into the water, but my kids were so excited to see their grandpa hook one. 3. There's also a handful of tennis courts that were being perused. The walking trail is a great way to enjoy the beautiful spring weather and get some exercise! And with the scenery, it's a nice spot for a date or picnic with the family. Just be careful where you step since there are a lot of ducks roaming the area. 4. And the bathrooms are spotless!!!!! I had to throw that in there. This is such a great place for families and to enjoy the fresh air.

Finally made it to Geodis for a Nashville SC game and could not have been more pleased!…read more The stadium looks bigger than it actually is, but that is not a dig, it is a positive honestly, as all the food, beverage, stores, and amenities are well located and fairly easy to access from any seat in the house. Speaking of seats, there isn't a bad one in the place! Some are fully covered, others are partially covered and then of course they have those fully uncovered. We sat in the 200's, which was a wonderful view of the game, and as mentioned, gave us easy access to all the goods. Food options were standard with burger, hot dogs, fries, nachos and pretzels being available across most spots. They did have several local eateries as well, which is where most of us ended up grabbing something from. This includes pizza, chicken, bbq, tacos and more. Pricing for tickets was good, but pricing for food, parking and especially pro-shop was a bit more painful, so be prepared...cheap-ish to get in, but they get you everywhere else. The staff from entry to the store, food stalls and of course, exit, were all friendly and helpful. Overall, really great venue. Loved supporting the hometown team at Geodis and definitely look forward to visiting for all types of events!

It was free on the street and was fun to walk with the tons of other concert goers to the stadium. We had floor seats so there was a designated entrance for that with a short line and put us right where we needed to be within the stadium. We found our seats with ease as everything was organized, but no one flagged us to the bracelets that lit up that everyone got so I had to walk back to another gate to get one. We were toward the front of the floor, but the seats in the back of the floor probably did not have a great view due to the non-slope. The food options were good and dwecently priced. The staff was friendly we had a great time.

There are a couple of skills to learn if you're not already familiar with the sport, but most people learn the drop punt and handball quickly with a little patience. The Nashville Kangaroos have a national reputation in the United States Australian Football League as a team that plays "hard but clean." Australian football is played without pads or helmets, but there are several basic rules for player safety. The Nashville Kangaroos take pride in playing by these rules - for example, avoiding tackles above the shoulders. Want to watch? Ask, and someone will explain the game. There might even be live commentary. Want to play? Everyone is welcome to try, and one of the players or coaches will take the time to teach you some basic skills. Their home fields are at Elmington Park at 3500 West End Ave. You can see their games here during the season at Elmington Park when they host out of town teams for competition. The game Footy is some kind of hybrid between American Football, Soccer, and Rugby. The way the do the scoring is related to soccer, and football with a certain number of points assigned based on whether the ball is kicked over a goal post or whether it is carried across the line. I don't completely understand the rules yet, but it is a lot of fun to watch. The game is very fast paced, and I really like the way the do the scoring for the game. Each goal has a score keeper and the score keeper has two flags. Based on the score the flag bearer does some choreographed moves to indicate the score. He wears a white coat and hat and waves the flags in a very formal way. It is enough fun for me just to go and watch the flags wave. Also, the men that seem to gravitate to this sport are quiet buff. So if nothing else you can get the girlfriends together to watch some fit men run around. They aren't wearing any heavy padding to obscure your view. Watching Footy is a nice way to spend a summer afternoon, you can get some sunshine and culture all in one fell swoop.
