Amy was amazing! We are not local so we didn't get to meet with a photographer in person before our wedding. We picked Amy because she had the most artistic photographs on her website. We really liked the lighting of her pictures. We put a lot of trust in Amy's hand and she delivered. In fact, she suggested the beach where we held our ceremony. The beach we would have picked would not have been as good, so we appreciate for the guidance she gave us. Before heading to the beach for the wedding we met Amy on a tree-lined lane where she took some shots of us. She took some candid pictures of us walking along the lane and the tall grass. We really like these pictures because they are unexpected in Hawaii and almost look like they were taken in Provence. Next, Amy took us to the beach where the ceremony was held. We wanted candid photographs, nothing posed. As the ceremony started it began to rain and a double rainbow appeared over the beach (Amy did not arrange the rain/rainbow). Because it was cloudy the light on the beach was really interesting with the sun breaking through the clouds in patches. That combined with the sunset made for really interesting light. Amy captured the lighting and the casual feeling and the ceremony perfectly. Some of her shots were unexpected in a good way. I appreciate how thoughtful she was in getting a 360-degree view of the ceremony. Now, when we look at the photos, we are so happy that she captured exactly what we were seeing and experiencing. The pictures really take us back to that day. After the ceremony, we went back to the hotel where we had dinner on the beach. Amy took some really great candid photos of the dinner, including some black and white. The black and white photos were some of our favorites and there is an artistic quality to those photos that we love. We are so pleased with Amy's photographs. This review is well over due, but Amy was AMAZING!! My wife and I were torn between having a wedding at home (Boston) for the family to witness, and having our dream wedding on the beaches of Hawaii. Luckily we found Amy and Sean and trusted them to capture every moment of the ceremony, that way our family wouldn't feel like they missed anything. WE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN HAPPIER!! We had never been to Maui, and trying to find someone who could visualize exactly what we discussed was a blessing. She also helped up pick the perfect location. Amy took the most amazing pictures for us and Sean put together a wonderful video that were played on a projector for the reception party to view. The whole experience couldn't have been any better. Amy was amazing! She was helpful when booking our session and picked an amazing setting. We did family photos (2 adults, 1 child) at Baby Beach in Lahaina. She had lots of different poses for us and she was so easy to work with and made us feel super comfortable. We had been planning our Maui vacation for a long time and I knew I wanted to get family pictures taken while we were there. I found Amy pretty early on and followed her on social media. I loved the way she edited her pictures, the lighting and the ratio of posed moments along with the candid shots she got of families interacting together. Scheduling was easy, she worked with us on the timing of our shoot, was on time and was professional. My 1 and 4 year old were not in a picture taking mood when we arrived at our session.
