    Autumn Spice Latte

Loved this little cafe in the middle of Mount Hermon. It's cozy inside with a super comfortable couch and a few tables (great for catching up or meeting as a small group during a retreat). I was surprised by their menu offerings of specialty coffee and tea drinks as well as a few Marianne's (of Santa Cruz fame) ice cream flavors. I ordered a seasonal drink called Autumn Spice Latte that knocked my socks off. It had some sweet potato and other spices on it. It wasn't very sweet (which I LOVE) but was delicious! They also offered an enormous water dispenser which I really appreciated. And the patio that house tables with umbrellas offered the perfect space for quiet time was a delight! Can't wait to come back here.

I love going to Heartwood anytime I'm in the mood for a good drink and cozy atmosphere. This coffee shop offers tasty drinks for every season, lots of comfortable seating (indoor and outdoor!), and beautiful views of the redwood trees right outside. There's also hiking paths nearby if you want to take your coffee to go! A great experience every time.

The regular drip coffee here is way better than any of the chains. And it's located in a cool spot.

I was delighted that they had gluten free pastries and a house-made gluten free bread! My sister enjoyed a strawberry-blackberry brioche tart, while I ordered the mango mochi bite (gf) and a chocolate mochi donut (gf). My favorite was the mango bite, which had a delicious burst of fruity mango flavor. The chocolate donut was a very rich, chocolate-y flavor and also excellent, but the texture was not as nice as the mochi bite. The strawberry-blackberry tart was also delicious, per my sister's feedback. The avocado toast was good, but my favorite was definitely the mango mochi bite. As for the drinks, my matcha was with a house made rose syrup and my sister said her chai was very peppery and delicious--her favorite chai on our trip so far! Wish we'd had a larger size but not sure if they offer them. When I'd ordered, I wasn't asked about sizes and didn't even think to ask for a large. Parking in front is a bit limited, but they have plenty of interior seating and even a little outdoor seating area. All in all, I'd absolutely come here again if I ever find myself in the area. Highly recommend, especially if you are gluten free! They even asked if it was allergy or preference, which makes me feel more confident eating here as someone with celiac disease.

The salads and veggie bowls are solid. I like their baked goods, particularly the raspberry and cream cheese brioche or the bite-sized passionfruit mochi, which is packed with flavor and garnished with delicate flowers. Interesting drinks in their beverage fridge, retro wallpaper, fun merchandise, and a quirky, small open air backyard are all pluses. Friendly and helpful staff. Just wish that their breakfast ran later (ends at 11 am) and that the line moved a little faster.

Our lattes were made with such care, and a staff member even brought out extra bruschetta board toppings from an order she had for free. The sitting areas are perfect for catching up with a friend or doing some work, and the outside patio is large and stunning. The eclectic duck decor added a nice touch to an already beautiful space with high ceilings. There is a play area for children, and a lot of bikers come around on their bike stops. Parking is in the lot behind Cruise, and there was plenty of parking on a Saturday afternoon. I did not see any outlets for charging laptops. Overall, I had the best time ever at Cruise. You should stop by, and I will be coming back again soon!

As we got off the freeway, she looked up and there was a coffee shop right down the street. He stopped in here for a quick bite. The two barista is helping us were incredibly helpful and patient since we had to read everything on the menu. I also loved how their store was set up and they sold local arts and crafts from the community! I love the community aspect here in Santa Cruz County! Perhaps she misread the menu, but she thought "egg stacker" was a sandwich because it was under the "bagel sandwich "category. But under the description, it does not say there's any bread. Lol, which is better for us since we're trying to be gluten-free for the day. I had an ice green tea and a salmon egg which was delicious and filling perfectly made egg with the right amount of capers and seasoning for each bite to have enough flavor on it. The green tea was perfect since it was 92°! I can't wait till we get to the beach! I was sad. They didn't have any nitro coffee, but I will definitely come back to try more pastries since it seems like they were out but then again we got there about 30 minutes before they closed. Lol.
