Artifactory, now sharing a roof with Sewciety (perfect match), is such a shop. Only a handful of shops *spark joy* the moment I think of them and this one tops my list! Artifactory has a truly unique selection of very reasonably priced items I am unlikely to find anywhere else and the owners make you feel extra-special because they remember the little details, your likes and dislikes. They have a beautifully curated collection--a blend of local and non-local items--old and new, practical and quirky, unique and creative. My spirits are lifted when I walk through the door. I feel a bit like a I did as a child looking through a favorite relative's hope chest or exploring all of the treasures in my grandmother's home imagining what my home would look like when I got big. Nostalgia and possibilities comingle. Again, no one answered the phone or responded to email, but I did get a reply via chat after a while, saying that they were waiting on a shirt to come in and they would ship everything on the 25th. None of the items stated they were out of stock or a pre-order, but as long as they were shipping soon, I was fine with that. Another week went by, and I still hadn't received my order. I am literally 15-20 minutes from their store, so shipping should only take a day or two at most. I paid for shipping for the convenience, thinking that they could ship much faster than I could get by there. I reached back out multiple times between Nov. 30th and Dec. 2nd to get another update or tracking (via chat, email, phone, and FB messenger). It shows they've read my messages, but they have not responded at all. Poor customer service and communication, and as of right now I am out hundreds with nothing to show for it. Very disappointed. Their store used to be one of my favorites on Campus Corner, but I definitely won't be placing another online order with them again. The customer service is consistently top-notch. I picked up a Tudor FXD from them brand new, and the entire process was smooth and enjoyable. I also sold them a vintage Rolex, and they were very fair with their offer. I combined that with some of my own money to purchase the Tudor, and I couldn't be happier with how everything worked out. The store itself is clean and welcoming. On hot days they even offer cold water, which is a small touch but says a lot about how they treat their customers. Their selection of pre-owned watches is excellent--plenty of great pieces to look through. I haven't spent much time on the jewelry side, but the watch selection alone is worth the visit. Overall, Brockhaus is a solid place to buy or sell watches, and I've always left feeling well taken care of. Highly recommended.

I went to college in Norman and have shopped here many times over the years. I recently purchased a…read moresweater to wear on game day when the weather became colder than anticipated and wore it for four hours before realizing the seam on the sleeve had come apart from my wrist to elbow. Because I had no other clothes to change into I kept the sweater on throughout the game and by the end of the game the other sleeve had come apart in exactly the same spot AND the seam on the shoulder had come apart as well. When I brought the sweater in the next morning with a receipt showing I had purchased it the day before and showed the girl how it had fallen apart they told me nothing could be done since it had been worn. I offered to exchange for a different piece of clothing and was told that was not an option either. In my opinion this is no way to treat a customer and shows that they are not at all concerned with the quality of clothing they are selling in their store. The store is packed with OU goods from apparel to mugs, sports equipment, etc. Basically if it says OU on it Balfour will sell it. They also do a lot of business for the Greek system at OU. The store is in campus corner, so if you go during busy times parking is always an issue, which is no different than any other campus corner place. It is also full, and on big weekends (football games, graduation, etc) it feels crowded. I have never encountered an unfriendly employee at Balfour. There clearly is a reason it has been around this long. Highly recommended for locals or visitors to OU.
