Kenzie is amazing! She re-pierced a few of my piercings that another local Indio piercer had done and believe me, they were not done well at all the first time! But she is very sweet, experienced, and cares so much for the client. Not just the money. She could have totally re-pierced me without me healing properly if she wanted to. But she made sure my piercings were as healed as possible before doing so. She made re-piercing my nipples as comfortable as possible. I'm less than a week in from my re-piercing and I already love them more than my previously healed ones! You can message her at any time and she replies as soon as she can with a positive attitude no matter how many questions and concerns you have. You can always go into the shop and she's there to help with a smiling face! Kenzie is extremely sanitary, which is obviously important and something that needs to be appreciated and is often overlooked! She is also honest, and that's what I think I love the most. If a piercing doesn't go with your body's anatomy, she'll tell you. Or if there's a way to do it, but just altered, she'll give the option. But again, she won't just pierce you to take your money. She's told me some piercings won't work with my anatomy and I'm grateful for that! Instead of paying for something that my body wouldn't even take to or work out, we came up with something else we could do and I'm equally as excited. Point of this review, believe me, go to her. The amount of professionalism this woman has is so immense and in such a short time we have developed an awesome client relationship and I'll never go to anyone else again. I went into the tattoo parlor expecting only a consultation, I called before I went and I was told they were really busy. I went in with a picture of a flower that my 12 year old daughter drew for my dad while he was home on Hospice because of multiple cancers. Izzy and I talked while he was on a quick break and he ended up doing the tattoo shortly after. I have never been there before and didn't know anyone. Izzy took the time to listen to my story and make my birthday wish cone true. The flower tattoo he did on my right hand is the memory of my father that I'll take everywhere I go. My friends and I all got tattoos at Heatstroke over the weekend and it was a phenomenal experience. The shop was clean. The staff was kind and friendly, and they really make you feel at home. They made sure to check in with us to make sure we were all feeling okay and they even offered us snacks. They treated each of us like family. We had the privilege of working with Oscar and it was a very positive experience. Once you sit down with Oscar, you are his only client. There's no one before you, there's no one after you, it's just you and Oscar. He was very present, extremely detail oriented, and didn't rush no matter what. He rWatching him take our ideas and absolutely run with them and bring them to life was pretty incredible. LOVE LOVE LOVE KENZIE. I have had three different piercers pierce me. By far definitely my favorite. I got my nose pierced by another piercer and Kenzie attended to it when I asked her about it and gave me advice and offered to even redo it for me if I decided to let it close since it had a keloid on the inside and the outside being as the piercer that did it used to small of a bar. Kenzie pierced my tongue and couldn't have been more accommodating when I need a break or to walk me through what was going on. She gives her personal number so you can call or text with any questions which was amazing seeing as it's my tongue and I was scared. She checked in with me repeatedly making sure everything was good and I was comfortable with my piercing. I definitely recommend going to her if you're getting a piercing anywhere. Four of us decided to get tattoos while in the area and we chose Heatstroke, the entire experience was fantastic. Oscar did all of our tattoos and we were blown away with his artistry. I am blown away at how great my very first tattoo turned out from Oscar at Heatstroke Tattoo!! My friends and I are from out of town and Oscar fit all four of us in to his schedule and kicked ass with all 4 of them! We showed him our designs and he took them and put his own ideas to them and worked with us to make them exactly how we wanted. I was really nervous with it being my first tattoo however, the environment of the shop was super chill and Oscar was very welcoming and easy to talk to the whole time which was great! This shop is the best of the best. Kenzi is the best piercer! Hands down the most knowledgeable and caring piercer in the valley. I've been to another shop in Indio where the piercer didn't care about my nose piercing and told me that I was "over cleaning it". Showed Kenzi and she took care of it. I've gotten multiple ear piercings from her since October and every experience has been better than the last. I won't go to anyone else. Even the tattoo artists are A+. This is the best place I have ever gotten piercings done at. Kenzi is an awesome piercing artist! I had tragus piercings in both ears and she made it so easy. I came into Heatstroke Tattoo to my ears pierced and it was a great experience, it only took about 5 minutes for steve to take me back to start my piercings. He was training someone on how to do different piercings and i was getting one he had never seen so it was nice to see how he was training and for me because he explained exactly everything he was doing, and on my other ear he showed me two different ways i could have it done and let me pick which one i'd like more. Ok Check it! AMAZING EXPERIENCE! I took my 11 month old daughter to get her ears pierced and Steve did an amazing job. He was gentle, patient and made us feel very comfortable throughout the whole experience.
