I went in not too long ago to get a septum piercing at heatstroke. I did see some reviews on peoples experiences, some good, some bad, but I gave Steve the benefit of the doubt to let him be the one to pierce my septum. Biggest mistake. I went in with my boyfriend and decided to get it pierced. Once we got to sit down for him to pierce it,he than said "remove your mask", he also asked to take a picture after he pierced it and that's all he really said to us. I had to ask questions cause he wasn't really saying much to us. He pierced it but it hurt like hell and it was hella high up but it was my first time getting a face piercing so I assumed it would hurt, but the pain lasted all night I couldn't sleep that well. I couldn't even move the piercing because of how bad it was, he also told me I was only supposed to clean it with water and that's it. We payed and left. It hurt so bad, even the days after I could berly move it. I texted him asking how to take care of it because it was hurting too much, he answered like 15 hrs later saying "Yes you can move it if need be, but I don't recommend you messing with it." I wasn't messing with it I just wanted to clean it better. I live in San Diego, but my boyfriend lives in Coachella valley, so I went with a piercer over there and they told me he had pierced my cartilage and that I needed to take it out immediately or my nose will get droopy. My nose still hurts went it's pushed back. I really wanted this piercing so I went to a different piercer and they took a look at it and they said the same, that he had pierced my cartilage, but they re-pierced it in the correct spot and let me say, it felt so different. It hurt going in, after though, I felt no pain, I was able to sleep good, they even told me to clean it with antibacterial soap, and when i told them Steve said to not clean it with anything they were shocked. I texted steve and asked for a refund but he again didn't answer until the next day and he said "it blows my mind you didn't come see me first, I have perfected my techniques", and said "maybe it wasn't me who pierced? someone else in the shop maybe did it". I said that I was sure it was steve and I just wanted a refund because I had to take it out. We went in to get our money back and he did give it to us but he also gave us a lecture saying "I will give u a refund cause i'm a cool guy, but you should've came to me about the piercing i'm a professional" I literally texted him and he never answered, I didn't really know what else to do but to go in person. I do not recommend going here for a piercing. Your body is super important not something to be playing around with. Any face piercing needs to be pierced well. I was already super scared going for a septum, but the experience I had here was just not great. Would not recommend. read more

Got my septum pierced by Steve and after piercing he realized it was crooked. From my understanding a professional piercer should be able to hit the sweet spot pretty easily but that didn't happen. He offered to redo it for the cost of the jewelry then after piercing it the second time he asked me to leave him a good review and told me it would be free. So, I went back to the shoppe, and I stood there while he was working for 15 minutes without any acknowledgment of my presence. I left my phone number, and Cory said, "I know what you want. He told me he would sketch it out with a down payment. He sketched it out in couple days and he tattooed me yesterday.The shop was professional, clean, socially inviting with great environment... You could tell this place was simply great by the little things they did . Workers where awesome and fun. Very disappointed in going here.. I've been to other tattoo shops and they always have a shop minimum or the artist is upfront about the price of the tattoo. My sister and I recently went in there to get "sister" tattoos the size of the tattoos are 2 inches by 1 inch and writing that says sisters. It took the artist a total of 30 mins to do the tattoo on each of us so a total of 1 hour minus the set up time ... we were charged 150.00 for each tattoo we were very shocked we both have a lot of tattoos and have got some at other shops with a lot more color and detail and have never been charged so much for such a lil tattoo. I would suggest you definitely find out what your looking at price wise before you get started and I would suggest the owner put a posting of the shop minimum. read more

Awful place to go for piercings. I came in to have my second lobes and conch pierced and have had to take all three of them out because they were botched. First of all, the owner pierced my lobes with a piercing gun, the placement was completely off and they were put in at an angle as opposed to straight in and out. Also, the jewelry that was put in my lobes was far too short to allow any room for swelling. If I wanted an unprofessional piercing done with a gun, I would've gone to Claire's. I took out my lobe piercings after only 4 days because they were extremely painful and infected. Second, I specifically asked for my conch to be pierced with a stud because all the research I'd done said never to pierce with a hoop. The owner refused to pierce me with a stud and gave a condescending explanation as to why he wouldn't do it. My conch was in constant pain, and constantly being moved and rubbed because of the hoop. I paid $150 just to remove the three piercings within days of getting them. Complete waste of money and extremely unprofessional, if you want your piercings done right, do not go here. read more
