Visited here Sunday for an open house. I actually haven't been to this location in several years since I planned a wedding here. They have done some major upgrades and it looks great now. My niece had her wedding there and my 93yo dad was tired of walking to the cocktail and asked if he can enter the ballroom entrance from the parking lot but was denied. He almost felled on his face but was lucky that my brother was there to succumbed his fall. Need to make exceptions for elderly to walk across ballroom to cocktail. read more

Get your own DJ. The place is nice & makes for beautiful pictures but definitely do not use the dj "paul" that is contracted with them. He missed every single que all day. It was so disappointing. You can get a discounted package by taking off the dj & use the money to find someone who isn't burned out on weddings. We also paid to have the place opened early and no one from the venue was there to let us in. With the makeup team & decorator having to start an hour behind schedule we did not get the money for the lost hour back. read more

We came here for a Halloween-themed event hosted by Fever. The venue was easy to find and had a good amount of parking. It served as a nice backdrop for a spooky haunted soiree, but had decor added to make it look that way - otherwise the "bones" of the place are quite nice and would make for a unique setting for anyone's special occasion. read more

Had a unique Halloween experience here. The place is pretty massive to suite anyone's event. A 2 story with multiple rooms and massive living spaces. The House of Spirits was a hit amongst my group. At first a bit confusing, but it all came together as we went along. Lots of picturesque opportunities. House of Spirits is a must try event. read more

As promised, here's my updated review. As I stated initially I am IN LOVE with the wedding venue! The bridal & bridal party rooms alone sold me! (Along with the floating cake stand but I'll get to that in a few). Tamara goes above & beyond for her clients when she wants to. What I mean by that is, there were a few things that were discussed & agreed upon between myself & Tamara, but when brought up around the time to pay, things shifted. My NUMBER 1 issue was communication. Up until I signed the contract, I received a fairly fast response to any communication sent. Almost immediately after, that stopped. In my package a "wedding coordinator" was to be included, unfortunately due to emails & texts going unanswered for months, I ended up having to hire a different coordinator. The ONLY reason I decided to not switch my venue 4 months prior to my wedding was Channon! Channon (all of a sudden) was my point of contact with the venue and she is AMAZING!!! I mean, A M A Z I N G! Once we got introduced to her (at my food tasting in March, wedding was in June), the ball really got moving. Fast forward to the day of, I walk in & things were wrong. Found Channon & she told me what was wrong before I could even say anything! There was some form of miscommunication about the lunch that was to be served in the Bridal Suite, but it eventually worked itself out. I will say, Tamara was very hands on THAT DAY & she did a great job. My biggest issue with my wedding day was that I absolutely DID NOT want anything other than wine, beer, & champagne served during my cocktail hour & liquor was definitely served. One of my hostesses told Tamara that I (the Bride) didn't want liquor & Tamara kind of snapped at her & told her that nobody had told her that before... well, I hadn't talked directly to her in months but everybody else knew. My guests were entering through the ballroom entrance. There was supposed to be a parking lot attendant to direct them to the correct entrance, but nobody has told me that they saw one. The floating cake stand broke maybe a month or 2 prior to my wedding, Tamara said they were trying to fix it, it never got fixed so my cake was on a table. I said all that to say my wedding went AMAZING! There were a few hiccups as to be expected, but overall it was amazing! If you're planning on using this venue for anything, ASK FOR CHANNON!!! She's very knowledgeable about the venue, very personable, and she listens to your concerns & will find a solution. We had SO many compliments of this beautiful venue. All of our guests truly loved the atmosphere as well as the delicious food provided by Tamara's staff. Tamara and Channon were pretty great throughout both our original wedding date and postponed celebration date. It was sometimes hard to get in touch with Tamara, but Channon (her assistant) was easily reachable if Tamara wasn't. There was always someone that could help us if we had any questions. It was a little stressful not having a wedding planner, but having Tamara and Channon's assistance throughout the whole process made things less stressful. Our original wedding date was in July 2020 and Tamara was so kind with our decision to postpone and allowed us to honor our original contract (we had already paid for everything at this point). For our original wedding date, she allowed us to still get ready at the venue, made sure we got to the church in the limo, set our goodie bags up for us, and got us small cakes for our small wedding dinner with our family that night. As for the postponed wedding celebration, they were very kind in any requests that we had in terms of details and decorations for the reception. They allowed us to borrow vases for our DIY flowers, to bring our own alcohol earlier, and to view the venue before the reception began. I did have to go through the reception tables myself to make sure the decorations were set properly and I didn't have an opinion on my bridal bouquet, but those are small things compared to the great things they provided for us. For example, Tamara had many wonderful ideas such as a memory table for our loved ones who passed, she was also super accommodating to allowing special traditions that my father wanted for the wedding, and she made sure that Richard and I were taken care of throughout the whole day. Overall, we were very pleased with the venue and the service we received by having our wedding here. If we had a third wedding, we would definitely have it here. :) read more

It's a beautiful venue with a chapel and reception hall, but the coordination is disorganized: meetings were missed or you had to remind the coordinator of what was previously discussed/agreed upon. During the event, the catering was incorrect: wrong items and food was forgotten. If you plan on using this venue for a large event, make sure you are in direct contact will all the vendors and are mico-managing so nothing is missed. read more

Very unprofessional. We asked for information and was told they'd send it to us and we never received it. Called back several times ...still nothing. Had a relative call and requested information as well and they also received no help. They obviously don't want our business and are very dishonest and unprofessional. We explained what we needed and talked to the owner and she promised to get back in touch and after speaking with her several times on the phone. Take your business elsewhere too. The venue is nice but the service is bad and unprofessional and in times when you need help getting your function done the way you want it, they won't help you ! read more

Gorgeous landscape and the inside looks magical. We came there for our family photo session. My photography loved all the different areas on their property for our shoot. This would be a place I could definitely get married, at night they have lights in the trees and just all around to light up the night for a beautiful intimate ambience. If I had pictures to show from our shoot I definitely would, waiting for that. But I definitely recommend getting a better look for yourself and walk the grounds. My husband and I were married at this beautiful venue 2 1/2 years ago. The owner, Tamara, was wonderful and a delight to plan the wedding with. Today, I was able to attend as a guest for the wedding of one of my friends. I really enjoyed the day and once again, Tamara outdid herself! She even remembered me! If you are looking for a beautiful venue where everything is at your fingertips with professional guidance, I highly recommend this place. I think my review might be bias but this wasn't the right place for my wedding. It might be great for someone but as for me it wasn't my cup of tea. The wedding coordinators there are very nice and helpful but I think the look of what I was going for wasn't this place. I've passed by this place many time going to church and I just never really knew that this was a wedding venue. I thought this was an old abandon home. Having to say that-- their website does not do this place justice. Looking on the website-- I thought this might be the perfect place. So, entering into this Southern Estate, I just saw how everything looked old. Maybe it was because they were remodeling when I had came but it wasn't appealing. In the wedding ceremony, they have stairs going up to the bridal room and when your walking up the stairs, the stairs were squeaking which made me a little afraid. Other than that, the wedding reception hall is huge. They have the dance floor in the middle of the room. The have the complete package for brides & grooms which contains: fake flower arrangements, wedding cake, groom cake (I remember their chocolate cake was yummy), decorations, wedding coordinator, ceremony, and reception hall. Basically, this place is one stop shop. For brides, this place would do everything and not make you worry as much. This venue does provide the complete package which is a plus but it just wasn't for me. read more

I went to a wedding here last night and I truly was a fan. This place is an old plantation house that has been converted to hold weddings. I will initially address the need for updating. Yes, the place could use some updating. The red carpet gave Heaven on Earth a bit of a brothel feeling. Other than that I thought the place was very sweet and well laid out for an all-inclusive function. There was a lobby area that was perfect for the pre-ceremony cocktail hour. They have a separate chapel for the ceremony and a large open reception area with a dance floor. The staff were all very professional and the food was very good. All in all if someone is looking for a venue I think you should definitely give it a look. read more

My friend had a wedding here on Halloween last year, and I have to say, the location for this venue is tucked away where you can't see and parking can be a little complicated since there wasn't a lot of space for it (but somehow we managed). Besides that, this place is amazing inside and it gives itself a special vibe, that defines itself from other wedding areas!! They are also a very accommodating venue with a bit of history of their own molded into the place. I won't spoil anything because that was one of the perks of this place. You learn a lot by yourself, while getting to enjoy the place to the fullest. We had our Daughter's wedding here on July 28, 2012 and it is the perfect venue for a truly elegant wedding. We used the top package with everything included. Their packages are a good value when you price everything that comes in the package.. The staff was great and really took care of things. The wedding cake and groom's cake were included in our package and were wonderful. The photographers -Original Images, were the best! A beautiful album was included. The facility is historic and beautiful - very unique compared to the other cookie cutter venues all over Houston. My daughter had her wedding at Heaven on Earth in January of 2013 and it was just wonderful!! The staff is incredible, kind, and helpful for everything. Every step we took with the all vendors was fun and tasteful. The house has decorations available if we had not wanted to go to extra expense, but we wanted some personal touches - the staff helped with all of our ideas and knew how to make the brides dreams a reality (they knew where we could rent the special decorations and linens). The cakes, food, flowers, decorations, linens, ice sculpture, music, ceremony, photography (we got to see stunning pictures just a few days after the wedding - amazing!), the staff and wedding coordinator were all excellent and professional. I felt like they all really cared about my daughter's wedding, the things she wanted and her choices. They have a heart for the weddings and I could see this in all that they did for us. The house is decorated with stunning architectural pieces and fantastic antiques, every room is different. Stained glass everywhere. The grounds have gazebos, ponds, fountains, and bridges! This is a perfect all inclusive wedding venue, especially those with fairy tale, Victorian, or classical tastes. read more

This review is long over due. While pregnant I was in search of a nice place to have my first ever baby shower. While the moms-to-be generally don't do the planning, I did not like a lot of venues in the city and the ones I did like were way too expensive. Some places never got back to me and most were already booked being that I was needing the venue for July. I will also note that I am very picky and I like for things to match my personality and vibe. Heaven on Earth was the perfect venue for me to have a vintage travel theme baby shower . I worked with Tamara the owner who is very sweet and witty. She also made great suggestions with the planning and decor. I love that Heaven on Earth has timeless classic flare. It's a beautiful venue for marriage too. All of my guests were in awe. I also enjoyed working with Tamara's team...Marisa and Victoria. There are great food options available too and if you want to use outside vendors for food it is allowed. The price could not be topped with my package here. I could go on and on. I attended the prom for my students at this establishment. The mansion is awesome with so many conversation pieces. The staff member were attentive and professional. There was plenty of parking and places for pictures. The food wasn't the best, but the service made up for the food. The chicken parmigiana was a bit salty and the cheese sticks were rubbery. I was one of the Co Chairs for our school's Senior Prom which we held at Heaven On Earth last weekend. It was the perfect choice for our event and it couldn't have been better! Tamara and her staff were wonderful to work. During the planning stages they met with us several times and accommodated our changes. The allowed us to decorate the day before the Friday night event. "Can we hang lights here or can we move this over there?" The answer to every question was "yes!" The couldn't have been more accommodating and gave us the run of the beautiful and large mansion. We were delighted that the package was so inclusive of all the things that make for a great event, valet parking, live musician, photographer, photo booth, table overlays, chair sashes, chargers and centerpieces, pop corn bar, crape station, balloon drop and more. The tables were beautiful and were were able to keep our decorating budget to a minimum because the house is so visually impressive on its own. We didn't get upcharged for a SINGLE thing! That evening the beautiful grounds made a great backdrop for pre prom photos. The kids then had mocktails and appetizers in the salon area ,which is full of beautiful antiques, while a saxophone player jazzed it up! After that they took a group photo of about 100 in the chapel and then headed into dinner. The food was plentiful and the kids loved it. Tamara was there the entire evening making sure things ran smoothly. She even shared a bit of her inspirational success story with the kids and MC'ed the Prom King and Queen ceremony. She has such a bubbly personality the kids adored her. When the night was over she had cold bottles of water set up outside as they left (a detail we forgot!) The adult chaperones loved hearing the history of the place and about some of the amazing antiques. We have heard nothing but rave reviews from all who attended. The chairs for the 2018 prom were on hand and will be booking Heaven on Earth for next year so that says it all! read more

Our big day was so special because all the people, places and things fell into place effortlessly. This is such a beautiful historical venue that will not be duplicated. I had looked at 17 venues before knowing for sure this was a place that would be perfect for us. Both my husband and I stumbled upon it on our own and loved it for various reasons and wanted to check it out. It is a one-of-kind eclectic atmosphere. When you walk in, no matter what entrance, you are in for a treat. There is so much to marvel at. It enhanced our "Classic Love Story" theme. Looking back at our pictures, with the start of our "Storybook Wedding" engagement shoot, to my "Once Upon a Time" bridal shower and finally our "Theatrical Playbill" style wedding, it was an amazing place to see this come alive, a fairy tale come true and one we will cherish. Aside from the venue, the owner, Tamara played a huge part in helping my husband and I put it all together. She is truly Heaven on Earth's Angel. She went above the call of duty on a number of occasions and she was invested in helping us stay within our budget and carry out our theme every step of the way. Whether it was helping us decide on some of the vendors, etc. to helping as the time ticked closer to the BIG moment - I remember her making some of the last minute details happen, things some people would have just ignored. She helped our nerves. She directed us; we didn't have to worry about anything that day, we knew we were in good hands. We were able to enjoy the moment with our family and friends and this was truly important to both of us. She was more than a venue owner, she really loves what she does and this helped us during all the planning. I was happy she was there seeing and helping to oversee our special day. It was a wonderful feeling hearing and seeing our guests share how great everything was and that they had fun and that they loved the place. What a beautiful event Two weeks later I'm still receiving calls from friends and family about how wonderful and how beautiful the event was The owner was so gracious and attentive to all our guest we will never missed a beat.
