We were put in touch with Alan via our realtor. He went out the next day and quickly gave us a detailed report. One item he found was a exhaust fan blowing in not out as needed. This was brought to the attention of the owner and fixed before we moved in. The other issues that Alan found were spot on and gave us peace of mind so we could move forward on the sale. To say that trusting Pillar to Post was a massive mistake is an understatement. His report pointed…read moreout less than a handful of minor cosmetic issues and I bought my first home not realizing that this guy had no clue what he was doing and I was walking into a nightmare. Literally missed every single major problem, no matter how obvious the issue would have been to other inspectors. Even the simplest things- a water heater that his report said was from 2017, was actually 17 YEARS OLD and leaking. And it only gets worse...Right after I moved in, I realized that the flat roof was leaking--I looked really closely at some of the pictures he took for insignificant stuff like "a noisy fan" only to realize that sure enough there were small water stains on the ceiling that he completely ignored. He took a picture of a jamming door with an uneven gap between the frame and stated it "needed weather stripping. In actuality the entire 4 level house is sloping to the middle and the gap in the door is because of the structural issue. To make it even funner, the concrete column holding up the patio outside of the door was cracked and crumbling -completely missed it. Literally my patio that is 20ft off the ground is barely being held up by a few nails and crumbling concrete column. The icing on the cake? A HOLE IN THE FLOOR THE SIZE OF MY FIST from a patio door leak that travels though THREE LEVELS- he was completely clueless. Literally the subfloor is completely gone and I can stick my arm in and touch the ceiling of the level below. All that in addition to leaky windows, an entire missing glass panel that was missing on the living room patio, and a kitchen that is sinking into the sloping floor. Add in 4 levels of mold from all the water leaks and you get a house that can't even be sold for half of what I bought it for. The issue is not that he did not see the indicators of major issues like cracked walls, stuck doors, and ceilings-it's that he lacked the ability to recognize indicators of huge structural problems and the attention to detail was non-existent and this being my first inspection, I didn't realize just how terrible the inspection was until I moved in. His entire inspection could fit in 2 paragraphs. The inspection from a second inspector after I realized he missed things was over 150 pages long and he found ALL of the issues Pillar to Post missed. Pillar to Post uses exculpatory clauses in their agreements to absolve them from carelessness- so they could care less if the house falls to the ground or not. I have not had peace since I bough this house and have had so much difficulty coping with the fact that I have to either come up with hundreds of thousands of dollars to fix the house, or sell it to an investor at a hundreds of thousand dollar loss. Anyone can buy a Pillar to Post Franchise and call themselves an inspector so I strongly recommend avoiding this company at all costs.

I thought I could manage with the DIY kit I bought from Facebook and all that it killed were crickets. It wasn't until I found a wasp nest under one of the alcoves on the front of my house and having to kill a spider, with babies pouring out of it that I finally realized enough is enough!! My sister lives in the area and recommended a chain service, but I found their online reviews to be consistently negative. So, I did some research on Yelp and Google and found Hole-In-One Pest Solutions. I wish I had called earlier as I continue to put this off despite having additional spiders coming through various cracks, corners, doorways, etc. The customer service representative was extremely helpful and kind. Super easy to talk to and helped me set up my first pest control appointment. I've always lived in an apartment so I've never had to deal with this before. I appreciated her patience and compassion as I explained my terrifying wolf spider story. Within just a couple days (due to my schedule) I had a tech out at my place. He listened attentively to the issues, and after a walk around the perimeter we agreed to a treatment plan and price. (Side note - a big turn off and red flag for me is when companies try to guilt or scare you into a subscription or additional services. This was NOT the case. Thank you for treating me fairly and not taking advantage of a first time homeowner/renter. I will always respect the integrity of a company that stands behind their services and work to create value added packages without the over the top sales pressure, and that starts from the top, so kudos to your management!!) I could not come to his home and just because he didn't answer , have the freedom to walk around his home . This was totally out of line and if it happens again I will be pressing charges against the company . As a homeowner , I have a right not to answer my door and he has a right to leave immediately if I don't . After he was illegally on my property , he stayed outside my home and in my driveway for another 20-25 mins this is totally unacceptable . I will be exploring my rights as a homeowner . If I can give 10 stars, I would…read more Booking with Lionel from All Alerts Home Inspections was a breeze from the beginning. I had called 3 or 4 home inspectors / home inspections companies and when I get to Lionel I already had an idea of what to expect, Lionel sounded the most knowledge among people I had called (How can he not be? He was a director of building engineering at a major hotel chain before he became an home inspector) , He outlined exactly what he would do to check for different kinds of scenarios. His price was very competitive too and even included things like radeon testing which other inspectors charge a premium for. On the day of inspection Lionel was very punctual. In fact he showed up 15 minutes early to get a head start. I have never been to inspection before so I went for a ride a long and this did not bother Lionel at all, he was very patient in addressing any of my questions and even proactively explained some things. The inspection took good 3 hours even though the house was in relatively decent shape and there were no major issues discovered except for water heater At the end of inspection Lionel took a good 20 minutes to walk through all of his findings, big or small, and how serious each issue is and what are the potential remediation methods. He provided the inspection report on the night of that day, and the next day I had some follow up questions and he tirelessly addressed them through either phone or text to my complete satisfaction Because of the service Lionel provided, it allowed me to complete the due diligence process for a house I really wanted under 5 days (including a weekend), and negotiated a sizable closing credit for seller.

I am a first time home buyer and he missed a hole/opening in my roof. A random toy football was on top of the hole, but I would have thought he would have moved it while inspecting the roof and discovered the hole. His warranty company is covering the exterior to fix the hole but water damage is inside parts of my walls, floors and ceilings now caused by missing this hole and his company will not fix it. I wanted to give him 10/10 but with missing the hole in roof and now having to hire contractors to check for mold behind interior walls, pull up carpet and get two rooms under the hole repainted has made my first time home buying celebration a nightmare and I cannot give him a glowing recommendation.
