We have used Heaven Sent Pet Care for 4 dogs now. While we have always been happy with their service, responsiveness and flexibility, our recent experience with them has been next level. A 1yo lab mix just joined our family somewhat suddenly. He was a bit anxious and didn't warm up to everybody right away. They came to meet him a few times before we needed the walking to start so that he would be comfortable. They were VERY patient as he worked through his fears and now he does zoomies when his walker comes to take him out. read more

For a business that essentially provides one type of service, there is some room for improvement. Since this service involves a rotating crew of sitters, it is important to me that those people are fairly flawless in the service provided. Unfortunately, the service is very spotty; some sitters were wonderful while others made me more worried while I was away from home. The other issue with this business is the security of the keys to your home that they keep in their possession. To be crystal clear: I never had any distrust or concern about the sitters entering my home. I do however think that the process used by the company to obtain and control the security of the keys while in their possession needs improving. This company may be o.k for some people, but I will not use them again nor would I recommend them to anyone. read more

I used this service for 2 years for dog walking and dog sitting and left under terrible terms. I was away on business and the dog sitter not only let my dogs get out, but she answered my home phone while 2 of my dogs were still loose- why was she in my house while my dogs were out and in danger???????????? The dog sitter, Shari, lied to me about small things. I found out when I received an email from Heaven Sent office providing me with information that was in direct contradiction with what the dog sitter had told me directly. These are people that have access to your home and your four legged family members. I did not feel the customer concern for my pets, the security of my home, or concerned responsiveness from this business. I also became concerned at the end about the staffing choices they were making. I had to change all of my locks and move on to a more concerned service. read more

We've used Heaven Sent a number of times to watch our dog while we've been out of town or are away for the whole day. They are incredibly organized and responsive. We've used other dog-walking services and had issues with communication/information management - this isn't the case at Heaven Sent, they are incredibly well managed and professional. Our dog has special needs (separation anxiety and dog aggression) and all the sitters are patient and know how to handle her issues. We also appreciate the periodic updates on how our dog is doing. I would give more than 5 stars if I could for Heaven Sent and my cat sitter Masa! I was traveling for over 2 weeks and came home to find my cat happy and healthy- like I never left! Daily e-mails (and picture) were sent to me every day and a daily 'report card' was left on my counter after I returned from vacation with all the details of how the visit went. Another awesome thing was that the area around my cat's litter box was so clean and I could not even tell where he had a few 'accidents' because it was so well cleaned up. I am very selective, in fact, I have an itinerary for my dog who is very used to a schedule. I was very nervous at first, but when Shari followed through that the sitters will text me, and they did daily with pictures and I had 1 sitter I was very satisfied. I understand that in any business you may have to have more than 1 person over a period of time, I was lucky with Paige, she was outstanding.. She did everything I asked and more, I had a urgent need to overnight something and she did that as well. What more can you ask for when she also works FT. I am one of those "crazy" pet owners who is picky about the people/companies that I select to care for my babies. Heaven Sent has been caring for my four-legs for a little over 3 years. I have a dog and two cats. The company has consistently been wonderful to work with. The sitters have always done an excellent job of caring for and cleaning up behind my animals. I travel a lot and have always been happy to come home to happy and clean pets. Also, the owner has many times gone above and beyond to accommodate me when last minute situations have come up. Have been using them for over a year. Owner is nice and knows how to run a business. However, some walkers are better than others. We had a dog walker who would not follow our instructions (changing water bowl) or removing shoes upon entering (we have white carpet). But we had another girl who was super sweet with our pup and did a great job. Key takeaway: interview the actual dog walker and request that they be your regular. We've been using Heaven Sent for nearly a year now for our Golden Retriever puppy. He has some special medical needs in addition to normal puppy mishaps and the walkers are always so attentive, reliable, professional and loving towards our boy. The management staff is top-notch as well, always responding quickly to emails, working with schedule changes and occasionally calling me if there were any issues that needed to be addressed immediately. We've never had a single missed appointment, burglar alarm problem or any significant issue or procedural lapse even as our dog's procedures change as he grows into adulthood. In my previous post, I stated that he is an excited puppy, not small. Although he is also still small for a 9 month old lab. We have also worked with professional trainers that have told us that those tactics of holding his muzzle or pinning him down to correct his behavior were what established that respect to the human. If Heaven Sent had better walkers, they would have thought to grab one of the many treats available to try and calm the dog as well. All of the notes the walkers left said otherwise "great walk" and "Zeus was good during our walk today" so it's funny to hear all these things now. When we spoke to Shari on the phone, I did say that having one primary walker, versus 3 in one week would be better, but we did NOT say we would want to cancel visits on the days he wasn't available as we are in great need of a dog walker.
