Gave them another chance after bad experience years ago and received $180 unauthorized charge for a bath, nails and sanitary cut for a 17 pound indoor dog. Their fee schedule is not posted anywhere so they charge whatever they feel like that day.. I instructed their groomer to ignore 2 small matted spots, and he agreed, but they lie and deny that. She added a $20 tip without consulting me. and says I told her to, also a lie. I didn't even know the total in advance, so how would I know what to tip? Was subjected to a shockingly unprofessional, condescending, insulting and abusive diatribe by email after contesting the charges and explaining I don't pay $180 for my own hair color and style. She could have just agreed to the $60 refund I requested or prevented the whole disagreement by simply calling me about the charges. She'd rather fight and be nasty. If my dog was severely matted, they would have returned him shaved. He was shaved nowhere on his body. She threatened to call police if I reversed the charge. The female owner is dishonest and toxic. Do NOT give them your credit card no. in advance. They will take advantage. I'm sure she'll reply here, but it will be total bs about how neglected and matted my dog is and how she could report me for it. Pic of my poor 'neglected' dog below lol and sample of her unhinged email. I do not have my dog groomed "a few times a year". They groomed my dog in February and in April, then there was a lag because they moved their location. More proof of Ramie's outrageous dishonesty.

As someone in the dog industry, I am always searching for boutique dog stores, and follow your nose did not disappoint! They had an incredible assortment of clothes, beds, toys and food among other things! It was not overpriced and I'm so happy I found this little gem! You can see Chloe (left) rocking her amazing new sweater! Thanks for your kind souls and patience with our 2 pups!

Recently moved back to the area and decided to go back to FYN for grooming. The results were horrific. My dog ended up getting all his hair buzzed off, completely destroying his look. On top of that he ended up with horrible clipper burn and he's been in terrible pain/discomfort. I would NEVER take him back to these people. The haircut couldn't have been any worse and on top of that, it's $90+ for a grooming to destroy your dogs coat and hurt him in the process.

My dog is very active and "silly" which means for years all he wants to do is run and play and not focus on what he is supposed to do. Many times I thought of quitting because my dog just wasn't paying attention. I didn't want to waste anybody's time. Jim encouraged me to continue saying my dog just needed to let his energy out and he had confidence my dog would eventually get better at it. Well it took years but FINALLY it clicked. Jim was so patient all these years. I really appreciate that! He knows A LOT about dog behavior and agility. I very highly recommend Jim Bahr for agility at Rex's !!

When you call you get an answering machine. You can leave a message for billing or rental and you can text for pick up. I have left many messages on the billing line and rental line. I have explained that this is important and I would like to talk to the owner. Nobody gets back to you. This is a reflection on this business. This is quite disturbing. The agility room is beautiful. The problem is with the teacher.I have taken agility classes for many years. I do know good teachers which is what one wants if you're going to learn properly. I believe this teacher rents from the owner. His name is James Baer . He goes under the name Agility For Everyone. He is a nice guy with an alternate life style. He takes many trips with his partner so classes can sometimes be erratic. I told him I would make the trip to Evanston to give him money on May 1st . He just needed to let me know his schedule. I never heard from him. He said he got busy and we would work it out in two weeks. He was going to Palm Springs. On May 16 , I got a text from him that the time of the class changed for that day from 4:00 pm to 3:30 pm. This was at 1:30 pm. I was already on my way to Indian Head Park, Il. I knew I would never make it to class by 3:30. I told him I would be able to do the rest of the sessions at 3:30. Everything is in text messaging. My opinion is you can't run a business this way. There are to many misunderstandings and miscommunications. You need to talk directly with a person. Because he went away for two weeks he was then having classes on Memorial weekend. Every agility facility is closed on holiday weekend so everyone can enjoy the holiday. Not here! I told Jim that I had plans and I could not come. I was going away for the weekend with my dogs. He told me in text that there was no class next week because he had a wedding. It just seems to be unfortunate circumstances. Nothing was ever mentioned about the money. I figured I would bring it when ii saw him. I am not someone just starting with him. I have been with him for years. If I had an inking how he felt, I would have made the trip to Evanston if he would have told me his class schedule. I would have been happy to pay him. I can't read minds. He needs to communicate. I then got a text that he gave my place away. This was on May 22. He told me I was stiffing him. I was not!! I would never do that. I had multiple dogs in classes with him. I will also tell you he is always looking at his cell phone during class. I can get his attention and ask a question but he then goes back on his phone reading and texting. This is not a way to run or teach a class. If I did this in my classroom, I would get fired. Your attention needs to be on the handling and dogs at all times. Therefore, I find the classes to be more self serv. I have done this long enough to understand what J am doing but this is devastating for anyone learning. As I said it is a beautiful facility and the only one in the North Shore. I would suggest taking classes elsewhere where bad habits with handling dogs does not effect performance. You also need consistency and you need the instruction to learn properly. It takes years. You don't need a teacher looking at their phone constantly during class. It has become a very bad habit which seems to be getting worse. Please go elsewhere!!! You will be throwing money out the window even if you have to drive farther. This owner should be ashamed not calling a client back. Don't you think this owner would want to know what is going or maybe the messages are not getter to the owner which now creates another problem..As I said before, it is a reflection on this business. I would still very much like to talk to the owner. How? The owner seems to be a fantomI alsoI love to support small businesses but do you want to support a business that offers services like this?
