Absolutely the best BBQ! I've tried a lot of places but HeavenLee is hands down fantastic! I got a held rack of ribs that were huge and cooked to perfection. So juicy and tender. Our company had HeavenLee BBQ cater our opening event that was outdoors, Hot, crowded and at a worksite that a lot of people have never experienced. The HeavenLee BBQ team agreed to cater our event of 100 hungry folks! HeavenLee team put together a delicious 4 meat setup with 5 sides to choose from and of course apple or peach pie for desert. The tea bar was also a nice addition that everyone enjoyed. Everyone complemented how good everything tasted and friendly smiles on a hot day to be serving an event that not a lot of caters would have done. I have eaten here before when they were on 36th. First time at the new place on 23rd. The food is normally very good. BBQ is one of the hardest restaurants to run. You have to guess what people are going to want tomorrow, so you can cook overnight. However, if you typically run out of main course meats hours before closing, you alienate your customers. We were there hours before closing time and they only had a few meats left. They need to estimate better. Their new menu looks like the sides options are more limited. They have a new menu, and I hope someone will get a picture of it and post here. They lost several customers that day. read more

The food was excellent as well as the service. the chopped brisket was excellent, the smoked sausage was good, and the baked beans were also good. It came with a slice of bread with some amazing seasoning. It was a little pricey, but most barbecue is. My only suggestion would be a better menu, as it was a little confusing. I didn't care for the cornbread, it needed honey, but they gave it to me for free so I can't complain! read more

I tried this place on a whim from DoorDash. I feel this place could have potential. I ordered the smoked brisket with Mac and cheese and baked beans and a smoked peach cobbler and their peach cobbler tea. From the moment I opened the back I was overwhelmed with smoke. The smoke from the peach cobbler tasted like smoked meat. The baked beans and brisket lacked flavor really and the Mac and cheese was gooey and over cooked like the noodles were sticking together and it tasted like velveeta and rotel packed in a cup. I will give them a chance in the future but as of now the food is not my favorite unfortunately. I got my order in a timely manner and it was packed perfectly read more

Always looking for new places to eat & prefer to support local owners. We like BBQ so tried HeavenLee's. It has a small dining area. They were very friendly. We had brisket dinners with potato salad, baked beans & cabbage. The brisket didn't have much of a smoke flavor & could've been more tender. The potato salad was sweet & the cabbage was more sweet than savory. We would try it again but probably get sliced chicken & different sides. The peach cobbler however was yummy. Brisket wasn't as tender as typical sliced brisket goes. A little on the chewy end. But saved by their excellent sauce sweet but a spicy kick. Potato salad was watery and sweet. Didn't like. Wasn't for me. However the RIBS were damn near perfect. Dry rub and meaty!! Flavorful all their own however put a little bit of that sauce on them and shooot you got something special!! If you're looking for a place with great food and friendly service, you've come to the right place. Sliced Brisket was tender, smoked to perfection and HAND SLICED! Their dipping sauce has a good balance of sweetness and spicy kick. Macaroni & Cheese (homemade, of course) had a secret spice which I cannot identify (yet) was great. Atmosphere is mid-American roadside stand, but I for one don't eat atmosphere. All in all HIGHLY recommended. Will most assuredly be coming back. read more
