Looking for large, juicy, super yummy fall off the bone ribs while in Edmond, Oklahoma? BIG-O's Pork & Dreams is the spot for you! Too bad we gobbled our food without taking photos- lol. The Spuds are a meal all by themselves- totally epic! The Fried okra is super crispy and served in a large portion. I also enjoyed the BBQ beans. I preferred the hot BBQ sauce, just a tiny bit of spice in my opinion but very good.

I had the brisket nachos and a half slab of ribs. I wasn't really impressed with either one but the nachos were the most underwhelming. The BBQ sauce on the nachos was far too sweet, the chips weren't that fresh, and the cheese wasn't that good of quality. The ribs were slightly better than the nachos but again it wasn't anything to write home to mama about; the ribs were very tender but lacked in the flavor department.

Being particular about my BBQ. This place did not disappoint. Customer service was excellent. Price point for the location is good. I came at 4pm and the meat tastes fresh and not dry.

Family owned. Great service. The food is phenomenal. We came in Saturday afternoon at 2:30pm and they were sold out of bologna, turkey legs, and chicken.

A friend picked it up for takeout a couple weeks ago. I would definitely try it again when it hasn't had to travel so far. I ordered a pound of pulled pork, the half pork nachos and Big O potato with brisket. The half order of nachos was gigantic, as was the potato. Of course with all that food, I had enough for two more meals with my husband. The potato completely filled up the same size to go box as the nachos. The potato and nachos were absolutely delicious and the meat complemented both of the entrees nicely. The only reason I'm docking one star is because the meats alone just didn't stand up to our personal standards.

This was the best pulled pork sandwich I've had in a long time. Fries and potato salad were great too. Try it. You'll love it!

The loaded potato is heavenly. One regret was not trying the Oreo pudding, so that just means will have to make a trip back.

The appetizer we order based on the waiter suggestion was a sloppy culinary mess, not one person in this group of 6 could eat it. With much delay again, we placed our orders, the salad I order came incorrectly, I orders and spinach salad and received a caesar salad; they forgot the salad my friend ordered until after the main course came and she had to remind the waiter who had not placed that order at all. My husband had to wait 20 minutes for an ice tea refill, my friend was not able to place order for a 2nd beer for about the same time because the waiter would just not come back to check on our table. The caesar salad I ended up eating did taste good, the pizza was decent. The waiter did take the dips off our checks because we sent it back, so I appreciated his responsibility with this. It was a very disappointing experience, 2 of our friends drove from Norman to meet us here and we are not able to see each other often. The ambiance was also very loud and hard to have a conversation without speaking very loud. I do not recommend and will not go back to this restaurant.

Patties Hamburgers & Roast Beef - Edmond, OK…read more In my ongoing hunt for solid comfort food around Edmond, I decided to give Patties Hamburgers & Roast Beef a try--and this one is definitely worth a visit. It's a relatively small spot on 2nd Street, but don't let the size fool you. This place delivers big where it matters: hot, made-to-order food and friendly service that makes you feel welcome right away. I walked in fully intending to go with a classic burger... but sometimes you've got to listen to the people. On their way out, a couple told us it was their first visit too and highly recommended the French Dip and the daily special. That was all I needed--I made the audible. What We Ordered: * French Dip with au jus and fries * Chili Cheeseburger with fries The Food: The French Dip was the star for me--tender beef, plenty of melted cheese, and that au jus brought it all together. Solid, no-frills comfort food done right. The chili cheeseburger was messy (in a good way) and packed with flavor. Fries were crispy and did their job. Everything came out hot, fresh, and exactly how you want it. The Vibe: Casual, laid-back, and exactly what you'd expect from a local comfort food joint. Nothing fancy--but that's not why you're here. Service: Very friendly across the board. You can tell they care about the experience, and that goes a long way. Final Thoughts: This is one of those places where you already know you'll be back before you leave. Next visit, I'm going all-in on the burger lineup--and after seeing that dessert case, I may need to save room. If you're in Edmond and craving comfort food, put this one on your list.

Gage, our waiter was very professional and helpful. He guided us through the menu and helped us make good choices. We started with three mule cocktails. We had the Oaxacan, the Moscow and Kentucky Mules. Everyone enjoyed the cocktails. One thing that stood out to me for my Oaxacan Mule is that the Mezcal's smoky flavor really shown through and it was not overly sweet. A very clean cocktail, which I highly appreciate! We ordered the Chef's Salad Wrap with Onion Rings, French Dip with the tomato soup, and the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich with seasonal side of grits. I enjoyed the Chef's Salad Wrap but I would probably be a little more bold next time and get the Cortez or the Reuben. I craved a lighter choice and was more sinful with the over the top delicious onion rings! Wowowow! Hubby enjoyed his soup and French dip and son enjoy his Philly cheesesteak and grits. I would definitely love to revisit and try more of their items.

What's not fine is that the manager's solution was to ask me to pay the difference because the salad cost more. I'd been sitting there for an hour. I said no thanks, cancel the order. On my way out I overheard the manager tell the bartender "don't worry about it" -- apparently already moving on while I was still standing there with no food and no apology.
