We asked her to replicate a gender reveal cake that I saw on Pinterest, a smash cake for my daughter's first birthday and custom cookies. Kathy made a very special cake for my husband and I had a special surprise birthday party for him! Our guests were also surprised to see a cake made by Kathy. Everyone gathered around the cake to take pictures and made a cola cake which was also delicious. She made two layers. The first one is vanilla and strawberry mixed together. The second layer is vanilla and lemon mixed together, both delicious. I have never bought an expensive cake. I had the pleasure of ordering this cake for his special surprise 70's birthday and it gave my husband an unforgettable memory!

I called Kathy a day before to see if I could have a custom made cake for my baby sister's birthday and Kathy was so accommodating and quick to respond (it is best to give at least a two days notice though and I will definitely be doing so from now on). The cake was absolutely amazing taste wise and with how finely decorated it was, I would assume this cake was made with a week's advance notice. You can tell that Kathy puts in a lot of care into her cakes. I received TONS of compliments and questions about where I got the cake from, and the vanilla cake was absolutely delicious/perfectly baked. I am so impressed and will be referring to Kathy whenever I need a cake for an event. Highly recommend!

Very happy with our custom cake for a 70th birthday party! The 10" was much taller than we'd expected, but we were very happy with how it turned out. We needed gluten-free due to an allergy in the family and were very happy to find someone who could accommodate. Heavenly Bite is very responsive over text and turned around the cake we needed within one week, and it was delicious too. We bought the plastic decorations to stick on ourselves, but she would have been happy to help with those otherwise. Thank you!

Do not order from this bakery. Her Yelp page makes it seem like she works at a shop, but she actually works from home. Communicating with her is incredibly difficult -- every question feels like pulling a toy from a puppy. I called to get updated pricing on a cake we discussed, and she suddenly quoted an outrageous $200 for a small cake feeding about 10 people, just because I wanted fresh strawberries. While searching, I accidentally called a second number she uses without realizing it was hers. She hung up on me, then texted me saying I "needed to find another bakery." As a young African American woman, the way she spoke to me felt dismissive and disrespectful -- like she assumed I didn't know any better. That experience made me extremely uncomfortable and completely turned me away from her business. Save yourself the headache -- do not order from this baker. read more

Kathy exceeded my expectations for this cake for my daughters 6th birthday! It looked absolutely gorgeous! Everyone was pointing out how beautiful the cake was. You can see her attention to detail, and her passion for what she does! Now the inside, we chose marble cake, with cookies and cream. I was honestly kind of worried that it was going to be all looks, but No!!! I was silly to worry even for a second! The cake was absolutely beyond delicious!!!!! Kathy is great! I sent her a message asking her how much notice she needed for a cake order, and within a few hours she responded with her cell phone number. She was able to accommodate my need by date, I was last minute- a week- but Kathy didn't hesitate to make it happen. I sent her pictures of what I wanted and Kathy came through. The cakes were beautiful and delicious, very moist and not overly sweet. I wanted to add my own cake toppers, I brought them in at pickup and Kathy made some last minute modifications so they would be displayed nicely. I definitely recommend Kathy! So I contacted Kathy a week or so before my friend's house warming party and Kathy said she was able to accommodate that date. My friend just bought a house in Mission Viejo and was having a house warming party and I wanted to do something special for her and her family so I figured a cake was the perfect idea. I sent Kathy three photos of what I was thinking of doing and she was very prompt and specific with what she could do. (Everything was done via text) I eventually settled with a nest themed cake because it was the most fitting for my friend's new family and house. The original photo just had two birds but I asked if Kathy could make a baby bird and she did! Everyone at the party couldn't believe how cute the cake was!! We had to leave the party a bit early(before the cake cutting) so unfortunately we were not able to try the cake for ourselves. But I am sure my friend will update me later! Well I was celebrating a very special birthday turning 65 after recovering from COVID and 3 weeks on Ventilator. We hosted a special celebration of LIFE party and I wanted the perfect cake to compliment my color scheme of white and turquoise as well as my flower arrangements of hydrangeas and roses. Found this cake designer and she totally understood what I wanted and at a reasonable price. The design came out GORGEOUS!!! I could not be any more thrilled with how it came out. She cared so much that she FaceTime'd me while buying the fresh flowers to put on top of cake so I'd be happy with them. Her service was excellent and attention to detail impeccable. Highly recommended! Needed a birthday cake on less than a week's notice so I thought it would be hard to find a bakery who would help me but Kathy was able to assist me no problem. We went over the entire process over messages and there were plenty of payment options (I used Venmo). The day of the pick up, Kathy was ready with the cake, gave us some tips on how to transport the cake and was overall very helpful. It was my brother's 50th birthday and my sister in-law wanted a poker themed cake for him. Being that they lived out of state she handed the task to me. I could not have asked for a nicer person to work with. Kathy was excellent. Her attention to details showed in her craft. Please note that you do have to order a month in advance. Kylie let me know that there is a minimum purchase of 2 cakes when ordering lunchbox cakes so I ordered 2. The actual cake is vanilla flavor and you have the option of choosing vanilla, strawberry, matcha, or cookies and cream for the buttercream filling. For my mom's birthday, I chose a light purple cake with a cute floral design and strawberry buttercream flavor ($40). The second cake for her birthday had Van Gogh's starry night with vanilla buttercream flavor ($45). For my birthday this year, I ordered a light pink cake with a floral design and matcha buttercream flavor ($45). My second lunchbox cake was light purple with an angel hello kitty design and cookies and cream buttercream filling ($50). It's really cool that you are able to customize your cakes, although it does get pricier as you add more details. The lunchbox cakes come in a circle shape and are the perfect size. There's enough cake to share with a couple people, but it's also not too much cake if you wanted to just enjoy it yourself. :) Once you are set on the details of your order and your pickup time, Kylie sends you your invoice. After that, all you have to do is show up at your designated time to the address provided. Kylie includes cake care instructions for you as well to ensure that your cake stays in good condition until you are ready to enjoy it. What a mistake! If you want to deal with someone honest that would provide you with a clean tasty cake... GET AWAY this is not the right business. I have been getting cakes all my life never had to deal with this, paid $150 for a cake that doesn't taste good, the finishing was not clean, hidden holes, and the number two broke 2 min after picking up the cake, the painting job was badly done. Kathy obviously did a mistake by placing the number 2 in the Wrong spot and did try to hide it, when I told her that it broke and there is a hole behind and many mistakes with the finishing, she told me she is not responsible of the cake after the client picks it up!!! After I showed her the pics she offers to give me back $25 instead of being honest with me on the spot from the beginning or at least care to do a good job. The job was over priced, slobby work, careless, unprofessional and taste really bad. Will never go back and never will recommend anyone to go there. KEEP away! read more

I contacted Kathy a week before my daughters 5th party and asked her if she was able to make a Trolls cake for her. I didn't know what type of Design I wanted al I knew was it had to be Trolls (my daughter had her heart set on it). she was really sweet and sent me a few designs that were absolutely beautiful. I picked a design and she had it done before 12 on Sunday and I was able to pick it up. the cake looked twice more beautiful than the picture she went beyond my expectations. the cake itself was tasted amazing but the filling was so delicious that a lot of my guest had seconds and took some home. Hello everyone I had to take time to give a review. Kathy was unbelievably awesome! No one would have done what she did for me! I ordered a cake with only 4 days to my event and she made it happen. Made adjustments to her schedule just to meet so I could give her the flowers I wanted. She tried her best to be flexible I can tell she's a genuine cater. very easy to communicate. Everything was through text so we had a little miscommunication about the drop off location. She delivered my cake personally.I took her a ton of fresh flowers and was even kind enough to ask what I wanted to do with the leftovers! She really puts in all effort into making your cake! I had such a wonderful experience with this business. Kathy was so attentive, helpful and caring through the whole process. My daughter lives in Southern California, but I am in Texas, so I was looking for someone to help me deliver a birthday cake and balloons to her this morning. Mission accomplished with Kathy's kindness and attention to all of the details. She even sent me a picture showing my daughter smiling ear to ear!! If you are looking to have a cake or cupcakes made and want it to be done well then get it done by Kathy!! She made an awesome cake and cupcakes for a baby shower we were helping with and it turned out amazing!! We were all so impressed with how pretty the designs looked, even better than the pictures we showed her! The white cake itself was moist and delicious but the strawberry cupcakes were definitely my favorite! What an incredible find through Thumbtack. Kathy is a master cake designer. I ordered a Dr. Seuss-themed cake for a baby shower that looked like a perfect replica of a stack of Dr. Seuss books. Kathy is simply AMAZING! She has made 3 cakes for me including my wedding cake, my husband's 60th birthday cake and my son's birthday cake. Everything with her cakes is on point! I ordered the birthday cake for my daughters bday. Kathy listened to all the details and made the cake perfect. It was extremely beautiful and fresh from inside with less sugar. This was the best cake I have ever ordered. Looked like fondant, but was luscious buttercream frosting. The cake inside was chocolate with big layers of chocolate mousse. It was the hit of the party! Kathy even bought a tiara for the top! It was fabulous, it was delicious, it was much-photographed, and it was gobbled up! read more

Kathy was hired for my wedding cake. We had a Starbucks cake and it was the best design ever! Loved it and also we had some other desserts going with our main cake. Very professional and good at what she does! Incredible work! An artist for sure! read more
