After dropping my pup at the groomer, I stopped at Heavenly Coffee in East Rockaway. They also have a Merrick location. Each time I drop my dog off, I see people coming and going, and since lockdown last year, I have been more mindful of patronizing small businesses instead of corporate conglomerates. They have an app which makes ordering a breeze. I did not see any hot foods, but there are pre-packaged items to buy (cookies, chips, etc.). The staff was super friendly, called everyone by name, and my order was completed in minutes, despite only 3 people working there, it being 9am on a Sunday, and the door had patrons coming and going. I ordered a large dark roast (my litmus test for coffee places--and I drink my coffee strong and black!). The large was the equivalent size of a venti at "that other coffee place". ;) The coffee was hot, bold, and tasted fresh. As a coffee junky on the weekends, I also treated myself to their Peanut Butter Cup Latte. It comes in one size. Imagine melting a peanut butter cup and adding a shot of espresso--that is exactly what this tasted like. SO GOOD! Their menu board has a ton of ice coffee flavors (I stopped counting once I hit the 20th flavor!). They also serve hot chocolate and I am sure they have some tea options. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is there are only 4 tables available to sit at: 2 high-top and 2 regular tables, each with two seats apiece. Buy local. Good little coffee shop right off sunrise hwy! Coffee was nice and strong the the batistas were very helpful and friendly. Decore is nice and features some local paintings and designs. There are also some couches and tables. Probably a nice spot to do some work or read if you have some time. As a coffee guy I'd definitely recommend. read more

Visit Date: March 18, 2021 I ducked in here right before work after a women's health appointment. I had gone to the Merrick location and wanted to try this one. I came in on the right day because they had peanut butter flavored coffee and I jumped on it. What I love about Heavenly is that they flavor their coffees naturally making the beans flavored instead of using syrups. This is very unique among other coffee shops where they mostly serve up lattes and other drinks with flavored syrups. Their gluten free snack options are limited but that's with most places so I really can't complain about that. I love both Heavenly locations and will be stopping in a lot here and there for coffees. read more

Tried this place for the first time today and WOW the options available are insane. I love that they don't use syrups for their iced coffees, but instead the coffee beans are infused with the flavors they have. I got the Oreo specialty latte and my sister got the toasted marshmallow one. Both were delicious and had no extra sugars, making it the perfect amount of sweetness. I stopped here this weekend for a large skim latte. The staff were friendly and they were very busy filling orders and running them to people's cars. The inside of the store was clean and welcoming. The coffee, however, was probably one of the worst I have ever had. It had a very weird taste. I tried adding sugar, but that didn't help. I ended up not drinking it and dumping it out. The store boasts having 50+ iced coffee flavors, so maybe that's their specialty, but I've had gas station coffee that tasted better than my latte. I won't be back. read more

As an avid coffee drinker I was really excited to try their coconut cream coffee and what I got was not flavored- no sweeetness , is it supposed to bitter ? Is coconut cream possibly creamer ? Well my friends ordered the lucky charms ice coffee we assumed we were going to get a loaded ice coffee with an abundance of lucky charms topped off instead we got - an ice coffee. My two other friends - strong coffee taste with little hints of anything added. Loved this coffee place! I went with a group of friends and even with COVID, they were still super accommodating by letting us all in (with masks of course.) First time trying this place with my best friend today. We got pistachio and cookies and cream that was so good. Definitely look at flavors before you go. Took about 15 minutes receive coffee after ordering and was disappointed to see that curb side pick up was the faster option. Let me start this review with the hours: M-F 7am-5pm S-S 8-3 Love this new coffee shop in my neighborhood : they carry only fresh organic no hidden sugar or additives beverages. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. There is street parking and a lot located behind the building which is shared with other businesses. They were extremely busy when I was in there the word has gotten out! I've added the business hours as they have only been open 2 weeks and already have a huge cult following on Instagram. I'm really looking forward to coming back tomorrow. The coffee is made individually no mass production so you will have to give yourself some time before running here before the train. The dining area and counter was extremely clean and neat. The only drawback is the amazing menu I really wanted to sample each one.... maybe a coffee flight???? Stopped by heavenly coffee today, the place was very clean and up beat with lots of guests coming and going. The staff was extremely welcoming and patient with new comers staring down the LONG list of coffee flavors they had. On another note I wasn't a fan of the styrofoam cups plastic lots taped down with a straw stuck through it. Not exactly environmentally friendly for 2019 but a friendly lady behind the counter explained to me that they're just starting up and will soon be switching over to paper cups. This is a excellent coffee shop. Excellent service followed by a great cup of coffee. They have your usual espresso drinks, an regular coffee also. They specialize in iced flavor coffee's. I think I counted 52 different types of flavored coffee's on the menu. Sweetened an flavored at the time the bean is roasted makes for an unbelievable flavorful iced or hot coffee. I just stopped in to their new location in Merrick. I was told they've been open about a week. I wanted to try a different coffee place, instead of my local Starbucks. The location was clean, warm and welcoming. I ordered a non-fat cappuccino with extra foam and one sugar in the raw. Coffee was made in a reasonable amount of time. But, I would have to say this was one of the worst cappuccinos that I've ever had. It tasted almost fake, with an off taste. It was such a disappointment. I do like iced coffee and that seems to be their specialty, so I will probably give them one more shot and try an iced coffee next time. I read they don't use syrups and infuse their beans with the different flavors. Since I don't like syrup that is a plus. read more

The first time I came here with my family I was not too sure what to get as there are many iced coffee flavors, but once you figure out your personal favorite flavor, it is for sure a game changer , My fiance and I go to Heavenly every time we enter long island from Brooklyn. Wife and I got iced coffee. She got flavored, mine had some half and half. I couldn't tell the difference between them. Was also watered down. Was not what I was expecting for a stand-alone coffee shop that just opened. And our ice coffees were in giant styrofoam cups with the lids taped on to keep them from falling off. Went early Monday morning like 7:30AM. i asked for medium hot graham cracker with 1 truvia and sweet cream. Well I saw the short blondish slightly chubby somewhat older woman with a short pony tail do whatever she wanted; I saw her squirt a few times from a different canister of flavored of coffee THEN she realized it was the wrong one and added the graham cracker, added 2 truvias NOT 1 and went to the back with my coffee cup and did who knows what (maybe added the creamer idk). Oh this was a small cup NOT medium. i did not want to start anything so early on a Monday morning so I just tried it giving the benefit of the doubt. BIG MISTAKE SOMEONE ELSE WROTE COFFEE TASTED LIKE BOOT AND I ALSO READ SEEMED OFF. Only thing that made me take a star away is the fact that they use styrofoam cups. It's not expensive to get biodegradable cups and straws and it's very silly to still be using styrofoam in 2019.
