Stopped in yesterday after searching the following keywords into Yelp for "Coffee laptop cozy". The Coffee Nut Cafe did not disappoint! Ordered the Crazy Monkey, which came with banana chocolate and cappucine. Needing a bit of a pick me up as I was in work-mode, I ordered the large which came out to $5. They call it a large but honestly it could easily be called an extra extra large! I really felt like it quite a value deal and you get a lot for your money. T he space is quite homey, charming and chill. Great spot to bang out an hour or so on your laptop while getting your caffeine fix! read more

Great coffee spot with a real coffee aficionado vibe. Thoroughly impressed with the bean selection and four different flavor choices of iced coffee. The coffee is good but the server was INCREDIBLY rude. She prepared my order incorrectly, but insisted it was my fault. And then said I owed her 50 cents if she redid it...presumably the price of a pump of vanilla syrup. Way to keep customers! Never going there again read more

Really cute, chill cafe. Coffee was great, as was the muffin I got. I was a little disappointed however, to see the muffins all appeared to come in their own individual plastic containers? I'd much rather see all the offerings behind a glass case. Individual plastic containers just seems very wasteful, and my understanding is that such containers are not recyclable (and even then, most 'recyclables' don't in fact get recycled...) read more

This is a wonderful coffee shop. The coffee is truly great. I have been searching for quality coffee and I finally found it. The muffins and other delicious desserts are numerous and taste great. I highly recommend this place. It is on a smaller side, but this is what makes it special. They also sell fresh coffee. The ambience is calming and welcoming. read more

The lady wouldn't give me a holder for my coffee said I had to buy 3 coffee s .....one of me and I had to buy 2 large coffees and a small coffee to get the holder ...also bought my daughter a muffin so Will never go back there....Good luck with your business I'm going to Starbucks!!!!! read more

So cute in here! Love the high tables with a checker board print on it. Makes me feel as if they want you to linger and play games. Super sweet staff also. It's nice to come in here on a hot day, with their AC blasting, and finding a cozy table to relax in. When I walked in it was completely empty -- but while ordering, a steady flow of people came in after me and a line formed. I think a lot of people take their drink to go, so it's almost as if you have the entire space to yourself if you decide to stay. This is mostly a drink place. I wouldn't advise getting any of their desserts. It's not really meant to sell baked treats. I do appreciate how they have everything tightly wrapped and sealed up, so no bugs or people's germs can get on them while they're displayed. However, it didn't look appealing to have it seem as if it were a high school bake sale rather than a cafe. It really did seem that way too, with how generic everything was. Muffins, cookies, brownies. It's not going to be cheap, so I certainly wouldn't buy something I could easily make at home myself. Mango Smoothie- mostly yogurt and milk flavor. Frozen monkey -- banana and chocolate and espresso. Didn't taste much espresso so it was just chocolate and milk blended with the banana. read more

I stopped by here today and was enamored by the menu...so many fun options. After being told they were sold out of banana syrup (sad face), I decided on a caramel cappuccino. A large iced was only $4. It was strong and foamy. It seems like a super local place. Every time someone walked in, the cashier knew their name and/or order. That's nice. I can't wait to stop here before beach sessions in the summer. read more

Interesting vibe, cozy checkerboard tables, and art on the walls. Cute little find among a bunch of stores and bars! You can buy your own beans, get a smoothie, or a special drink from the menu! I got the "nutty professor cappuccino" in a glass mug, which is a MUST! Whenever I go to the beach I walk out of my way from the train station where Starbucks is right next to it then past a Dunkin donuts and past a few other places to stop in here. Cute place where local artists have their work on display. They don't serve any food other then desserts but I had a healthy protein smoothie a few times and it was excellent and the "Energy cookie" is awesome The Coffee Nut is a perfect name for this place because if you love coffee then this is the place to get it. I've tried a bunch of different types and they are always great. Some days its better then others. I guess it depends on who is making the coffee that day. Other then fairway market I have never seen a place that sells so many different flavors and types of coffee by the pound. Coffee by the pound is a little pricey but well worth it once you get it home and brew it up. Staff is always friendly. read more

Local hangout with a nice vibe. Best thing going for it is the homely decor and feel plus the cast of friendly local characters that come by and smooze. Jennifer and Theresa recently sold the place to I think Country Boy bakery but whatever it's under new management. Anyone really into "Coffee" (with a capital "C!") should take a pass and go across the street to Gentle Brew. where they take their coffee brewing much more seriously and actually roast their own beans right on location. read more

I try so hard to like this place but it's so inconsistant. One owner is uber chatty the other seems to not want to be there. The coffee sits in thermal pots and isn't always hot or fresh. The pastry they have is all quite good, from the ones I've tasted. The bars (apricot and raspberry?) are out of control good. But the selections have been the same minimal amount since they've opened. The prices are higher than Starbucks. The art is always worthwhile to check out. read more

I really like the coffee here. The place is small and you can't use a debit card unless you're paying $10 or more, but for good coffee, I'll keep the cash on me (or ask my boyfriend to pay). ;) ,The atmosphere is really cool, too. A nice breakaway from the usual Starbucks routine. We tried a mango/blueberry smoothie which was pretty good and a hazelnut frappe. The hazelnut frappe was barely sweetened however the espresso was spot on. We just had to request more sweetener, and all was good. I can't say I'm blown away but this coffee shop, but it's a solid option if you want a bit of a better value than the usual Starbucks rip off. read more

I love getting coffee from here. All of their flavored coffees are delicious. It's junk food galore on the counter tops, so you might have a hard time abstaining if pastry is your downfall. I wish they had some healthier options, I would buy them a lot more often. Two problems with this place- lack of parking. Do not park in the lot next door on the weekends, no matter the time of day because a tow truck stalks the lot. The other issue is that no cards under $10. Sometimes I don't have any cash on me, so I will go to Gentle Brew instead of Coffee Nut because there is no minimum. Other than that, this place is my favorite. The owner is also maybe the nicest person in the universe and only hires staff that is sweet and friendly. read more

We live in Long Beach and always come here to buy our whole bean coffee to brew at home. They have a wide variety of beans to choose from, including authentic Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, one of our favorites! When you purchase one pound of coffee beans, you get a cup of coffee on the house. Nice little perk. The espresso drinks are also delicious - I especially love the Nutty Professor. Latte does not taste good and the staff is rude here!! Especially Jen. I was 25 cents short from making the 10$ minimum and she said I need to pay with cash in such a nasty tone. I only had $9.50 and she was not okay with that so I walked out. Nasty... I will be going to Gentle Brew across the street now on. read more

Great tasting fresh coffee, the staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. The Wife and I come here once or sometimes twice a day on the weekend or when we have a day off. Its just a wonderful neighborhood coffee shop. The baked goods are awesome. when we go out for a walk on the boardwalk we always stop by here first, get some iced Vanilla Nut Coffee, and a Caramel Craze and a buttered roll and sit outside and hangout and then continue on about our day. The coffee and atmosphere is great here. However, since the recent times I've gone here, one of the baristas has had an attitude and made me quite uncomfortable. If it wasn't for the delicious coffee, I wouldn't continue to go here. read more

Super friendly workers. They have this rice crispy treat but it's up a level it has pumpkin seeds, raisins, coconut flakes, and walnuts it's the best! Perfect for a snack. The chocolate chip muffins have this delicious crumble , only place I get my muffins. read more

This place has been under new ownership for some time now. While one of the two previous owners was an angel, the other was totally unbearable, so I stopped going. I am happy to say that the new owner kept all that was good, including the good coffee and those awesome "energy" bars. The staff is perfect, as it was before.
