You get the idea, it is the kind of place where you always find something interesting. Sure, you can probably find similar items online for a few dollars less, but that is not the point. It feels good to shop in person, take your time, and pick out something meaningful for a loved one instead of just opening another Amazon box. I picked up a Manhattan Beach puzzle for my in-laws and a California dish towel for a friend who moved to the East Coast to be closer to her children, both made for really thoughtful, personal gifts. The store has a warm, well-curated feel, and the employees have always been friendly and helpful. I love this shop and am happy to support a great local small business. Places like this are what make the neighborhood feel like a community. 5 stars for me.

They weren't running around, making a mess, or being disruptive in any way. We were all simply browsing the store like normal paying customers. So when an employee came up and told our kids to put the plushies back, it honestly made no sense. If customers can't hold onto items while they shop, maybe that should be posted somewhere. We didn't make a scene -- we just left. But the interaction felt unnecessary, unwelcoming, and honestly pretty off-putting. A decent-sized store should probably know how basic shopping works.

It was very expensive for what they were asking for since it seemed very old and dirty. They did however negotiate to a lower price and I did appreciate that. The staff was kind overall. I was just very overwhelmed with so much all around. My sister said at their last location it was much more organized and unfortunately since moving they haven't been. They have a wide selection of clothing which is not only made extremely well with good material, but it also looks great AND is cost efficient... I have about five pieces from the store and I wear them a lot so it's great value. What I like the most though is that it's a very easy-going environment, and I've never felt pushed into buying something. Joy has always guided me towards what she feels I would like based off of what I've told her in the past, and it has always been on point. Though I've never met Michelle in person, she's got a great eye, and seems like her level of artistry and craftsmanship is unparalleled. Would love to meet her too someday :)

And my spontaneously visiting the South Bay, I wanted to see Dino and/or sons next door at Paisano's. With the immediate positive greeting from Michelle's salesperson, Joy, I felt so welcome. And looking around, I would have gotten "in trouble" with my credit card if I had been at Saks Fifth Avenue or the like. The dresses, the jewelry, the beautiful and unique cow print skirts... wow. And my boyfriend had not yet gifted me a Christmas present. Opportunity. With the help of Joy, we took photos, and that helped me "sell" my boyfriend. Joy and I really had fun, taking photos, deciding on which shawls, what jewelry - what really "meshed" with my wardrobe and current jewelry. texted photos to my boyfriend. He quickly agreed that these would be "his" Christmas gift to me. The best thing? I honestly did not get into as much trouble (money-wise) as the prices were reasonable - and there was a special. The shawl, the earrings, the bracelets (that match my newly purchased jewelry in Morocco) AND the perfect gray cowboy hat, that salesperson Joy strongly recommended, were perfect in my wardrobe. The neatest part? I wore all of, every purchased item this afternoon, the shawl, the jewelry (bracelets and earrings), the gray cowboy hat -  and received 3 compliments from strangers. Thank you so much, as I hope to purchase the "heart" silver bracelet if it might be fixed, allowing stronger magnetism.  I am so impressed with the salesperson AND the quality of the jewelry and clothes. Today I bought 2 hand-made bikini doorstops - made me laugh (kinda reminds me of trying to get my cat out from under the bed, see my photo). And I learned from Amber's Mom about Elf on the Shelf. How could I not have known about this wonderful tradition? You're unlikely to get any stories like this shopping in a big box chain store (or online). I had a great time in here, as always.
