Mark made my one hour lesson, a Christmas gift from my gal, educational, fun and thought provoking. I've enjoyed 'machines that puff diesel' all of my life. An hour of clear, patient instruction made me think I really may have missed my calling. It's never too late for a new start! Thanks to HMP for making one dream come true and making another seem well within reach.

What a super fantastic experience. I bought 2 30 minute experiences for a 10 and 14 year old including a car smash. We arrived early and ended up spending some time at the park next to the heavy metal playground. They have go carts, batting cages, an arcade and much more, but back to my review... Mark and Mike each took a child and wore a headset with a walkie talkie to give very specific directions to the boys during their time in the equipment. The boys spent about 20+ mins in the digger doing things like picking up tires and playing a basketball game against each other. I, personally, really enjoyed watching them play. It was so much more fun as a spectator than I expected. After their time in mentioned above, they moved the digger over to do a car smash. The boys each got an opportunity to pick up a car and make a mess. Afterwards both boys reported that they loved their experience because both Mike and Mark were very patient and continued to give directions when they messed up. The environment was muddy based on recent rainfall, but what dope wouldn't expect that if you are going to play with heavy equipment? So I'm basically recommending not going here in a ball gown! ** clearly said with sarcasm. I would love to go back here and do an experience myself. I felt the price charged warranted the experience and would recommend for any kid or adult who want to have a good time!

Amazing fun for all ages. They have mini-excavators set up and have friendly competition to use the machine to stack tires, pick up and place a basketball inside tires. Mark was patient and good at coaching us through the moves. It was as harder to do than we expected but very fun to practice and move things around. Embarrassing that the kids beat the grownups in competition. All of us want to do it again!

My view as I take care of this mud!

We had so much fun learning to run a backhoe! The guys guiding you along the way were very nice.

Paced the class well and generally just well done. Second time I went with my wife and our ten year old daughter to do the flowers with Xander. Another great experience with different techniques and again well done with just enough help mixed with freedom to work. We are already looking for more family blacksmithing classes to do. As a note, when I went in December it was a perfect temperature inside with the heat as it was cold outside. In April... even on a cooler day it was very hot inside (which is not a surprise given the heat of the fires) so make sure to dress safely but appropriately. They do have water cups and a refill station for bottles as well as ice for when you are too warm and need to cool off. Well done and other than I wish it was closer to me, zero complaints.

It's could be a little overwhelming at first but everything was explained so well and the entire project was broken down into easily achievable steps. And if you get stuck the instructor is right there to help you. Our instructor was Kyle. He was not overbearing or boring at all! His enthusiasm and encouragement went a long way towards making us feel comfortable. Plus he offered some expert help to make our knives go from butter basic to pointy kitchen. Some need to know info - everything is provided (protective eye wear, aprons, gloves and I did see ear plugs). They have cups and a water fountain but I would probably bring my own water bottle. There are breaks. There are bathrooms that are clean. It is very loud. It is hot. It is hard work and you will most likely be sore the next day. It could be addictive.

It was finally warm enough to do an outdoors activity so I booked us tickets to go over the Easter weekend. I reccomend booking in advance as they do get booked up quickly. Also make sure to sign the waivers beforehand; so you don't have to do it at check in. I must say the staff this time around was truly commendable. They were great at instructing us the how tos and safety measures. They were considerate and patient dealing with my young nephews which I noticed and appreciated a lot. We did the tree top journey course as my nephews are still young and aren't quite tall enough for the other/ more advanced loop. This one was perfect for them. Some parts were challenging and scary but we managed to brave through it and were having the time of our lives! Tips: wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Bring a attachable cord for your phone so you don't run the risk of dropping it LOL. An hour gives you around 2-3 rounds on the loop depending on how fast you go through the courses. So much fun! I am considering purchasing buying the packages to take my nephews throughout the Summer.

I took advantage of Black Friday offers and went on one of the last days they were open for the year. Freezing temperatures, but with good layering, hat, and gloves that wasn't an issue (I had pre-purchased their gloves, but wasn't thinking about temperature and got fingerless ... luckily I had brought a thick pair of my own gloves as a backup). I was by myself for the adventure (my wife stayed on the ground and took pictures - it's okay to bring spectators), but there were some other groups on different courses. The staff was friendly and helpful and made sure to tighten up the harness between each course. I did about half of the total courses - two full courses and one halfway, which had an option to return to the start before some obstacles I wasn't quite ready for mentally. The first two courses I did included a handful of obstacles and ended in a zipline. The obstacles get progressively more challenging as you go along, partially in terms of balance, but mostly in terms of fear factor. For me the toughest to psych up for was a set of free hanging ropes that you walk on. The Tarzan swing also took a minute to mentally prepare. The remaining courses I decided to save for another day after looking at them from the ground - I'd been challenged enough for the day, but definitely plan to go back and build up to those, hopefully with some friends along for support.
