What a super fantastic experience. I bought 2 30 minute experiences for a 10 and 14 year old including a car smash. We arrived early and ended up spending some time at the park next to the heavy metal playground. They have go carts, batting cages, an arcade and much more, but back to my review... Mark and Mike each took a child and wore a headset with a walkie talkie to give very specific directions to the boys during their time in the equipment. The boys spent about 20+ mins in the digger doing things like picking up tires and playing a basketball game against each other. I, personally, really enjoyed watching them play. It was so much more fun as a spectator than I expected. After their time in mentioned above, they moved the digger over to do a car smash. The boys each got an opportunity to pick up a car and make a mess. Afterwards both boys reported that they loved their experience because both Mike and Mark were very patient and continued to give directions when they messed up. The environment was muddy based on recent rainfall, but what dope wouldn't expect that if you are going to play with heavy equipment? So I'm basically recommending not going here in a ball gown! ** clearly said with sarcasm. I would love to go back here and do an experience myself. I felt the price charged warranted the experience and would recommend for any kid or adult who want to have a good time! read more

Fun place! Located in conjunction with the race car place, It was convenient and fun. The staff members were all about having fun and made It a safe environment that included a lot of fun. We got three and dad and two kids did It. They got very descriptive instructions on how to use It and were guided through a series of activities via a head set that is worn. What a great experience! I received a 30 minute package with the Car Crush for my birthday last year. Due to a busy schedule and multiple conflicts I wasn't able to take advantage of this gift until almost a year later. Thanks to Mark being very flexible and understanding. I arrived about 30 minutes before my appointment, even though they request only 10 minutes. I live over an hour away, and not knowing if the traffic would work in my favor I didn't want to be late. Mark and his team are very friendly and knowledgeable. They make you feel at ease while operating the machinery and ensure you enjoy your time at HMP! There was another person with the same appointment time, so we were able to have a bit of competition which made it even more fun and really put the pressure on... I had a blast! I wish the car I got to smash was a little more in tact, but it was still awesome to do something out of the norm like that! If you are looking for something super fun and out of the ordinary, this is your place! We were so happy we found this. Perry, Shauna and Mark were beyond amazing!! So friendly and helpful. They were right there every step. They communicate with the driver via headset and made it fun. They took pictures for us afterwards and we invited them in for some. Great people. I think this would be great for just about any age. My sons, 14 and 21 both raved about it to their friends. It is also important to note that this is super safe! read more

Amazing fun for all ages. They have mini-excavators set up and have friendly competition to use the machine to stack tires, pick up and place a basketball inside tires. Mark was patient and good at coaching us through the moves. It was as harder to do than we expected but very fun to practice and move things around. Embarrassing that the kids beat the grownups in competition. All of us want to do it again! read more

I bought this experience for my 12 and 10 year old boys. They had a great time driving and maneuvering the equipment as well as competing in games against each other. Shauna and Mark were so nice and patient and safety was the number one priority. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and we cannot wait to return next season. read more

Took my grandkids out to ride the go-karts and saw the signs to Heavy Metal Playground. One was 12 and the other was 4. My 12-year-old went nuts when he saw the machines and wanted to try it. For 24 bucks he got 15 minutes on the machine. I thought this was expensive until I watched him have the time of his life. He hasn't stopped talking about it since and is wanting to go back. I've spent a lot more on him on a single birthday present that didn't give him as much oy and excitement as this. If you have a teen that you can't figure out what to get for their gift, I recommend this. read more

Five stars isn't enough. Every child and young adult must do it. I booked it for my grandsons birthday. I included his dad so he might relax. We drove him there and he had no idea why. When the owner Mark with Mike told him what was about to happen his eyes are something that we'll never forget. They are all about safety first and make it clear. Mark was extremely patient with my grandson. You would have thought the boy was his. I could go on but I highly recommend Heavy Metal Playground to anyone who wants to give a young man an experience he won't forget. My grandson thanked me all day and called just before bed. His mom and dad were beyond words. Dad and son have a t-shirt to remember that day. I have more grandchildren and we will definitely return many times. It's a new rite of passage. Mark,the owner, has a wonderful venue for family, youth groups or just a group of friends to have a great time together. We had a great time running the machines and competing in the competitions he has set up. I'd recommend at least the 30 minute session for maximum fun.
