They allowed us first to have a tour around the studio and showed us what it has to offer. Willis responds quickly when I ask him questions via online or text and he was very professional. Studio 87 has enough parking spots -- we had about 50 people (with kids though). Their staff did not interfere with our party whatsoever. The space was enough for 8 long tables (that's all that we needed but there's space for more). They have a kitchen with every basic needs such as the fridge, coffee maker, microwave, and a couple of long tables. They have two restrooms. One of which has a diaper changing station. They have a bar, a TV (we did not really use them as a "bar," but just as a dessert table). They have an iPad which could play music throughout the entire room. I mean, seriously -- a lot of my guests were asking how I found out about this place. I honestly just found it online and it is within the vicinity of where I and most of my friends and family live but I am so glad I found out about it. It is very modern and the space is big enough for pretty much any event I could think of (birthday party, baby shower, bridal shower, wedding reception, art gallery, photoshoots, etc.). Highly recommend taking a course or seeing a show. Am now in Michael Furr's standup comedy class which has been amazing so far. Aesthetics wise, it's no luxury theatre (they rely on donations and grants to stay operating, so this is understandable!) but it gets the job done and is homey. Convenient location near a few local bars. Parking Tip: If attending an evening show, get there early if you want to find easy street parking right out front (cheap, pay via kiosk or Parkmobile app). There's a parking garage across the street that's $5 if you tell them you're there for the theatre.
