On 5 Oct 2025, after our departure from the Kerrville IHG and heading back to Arlington, I received…read morea call from the Front Desk informing us that I had left my cologne in the room. The Front Desk person was very polite and offered to ship it back to us on or about Thursday. I happily thanked her and provided my credit card information so that I can foot that shipping bill. On the 26th or 27th of this month, I had asked my wife if I had received the package. She stated we did not. I then called your Kerrville location on the 27th on whereabouts of the package that was to be sent. I spoke to April who stated that the cologne somehow disappeared. She was very cordial, polite and was totally apologetic and mentioned that she would talk to the manager of the issue and that she would call me back. I called on the 28th and April stated that the manager was in meetings and that the manager would call me back. That didn't happen. I then called today (29 or 30 Oct) and somehow the manager was occupied once again. A search through the offices were conducted resulted in the cologne being missing. Not once did the manager nor the front attempt to call to say that the item went missing and they apologize for it happening. So unprofessional.

I was happy to find a Holiday Inn in Kerrville for a wedding my husband and I came into town to…read moreattend. We had a rough start to our travels, but thankfully even with our delay we were able to use this hotel's lobby restrooms to change and prepare for the wedding. Our room was not ready by 1pm to use, even with calling ahead at 9am to explain our situation. But it worked out, so thanks Holiday Inn for that. The reason for this not so positive review is simple. We received our room key before heading off to the wedding. We finally arrived back at our hotel and walked into our room for the first time and I spotted this long line of mold at 11pm on a Saturday evening. Not pleasant, not okay. I'd assume the hotel staff and management are aware of this room having mold. What bothers me is that they're fine with letting guests stay in a room like this. Not to mention the cracked tiles all over the bathroom floor. Strange... Anyway, bottom line? Be alert of your room if you get your keys and see something like this. Request another room. We couldn't unfortunately, but we certainly would have. The hotel is welcome to reach out to me, but I will send this to corporate as well.

The YO is a tough one to review. There's a pile of people who give it 1 star, and another pile of…read morepeople who give it 4-5 stars. I think much of it has to do with what your expectations are when staying here. The hotel is retro western and reminds me of the days of Route 66 themed motels and roadside attractions. The lobby is a large room filled with taxidermy and old western artifacts like cattle brands, peacemakers, Winchester style sculptures, etc. The attendants at the front desk were friendly and helped us get squared away with little fuss. We went to our first room and after walking in, we immediately turned back to the lobby to change rooms. The first room faced the parking lot, had some stains on the curtains, and overall didn't feel like a winner. Thankfully, they had a room facing the pool available and the interior was much nicer/cleaner. The room came with a balcony that overlooked the pool that ended up being a nice spot for late night chats with the mild weather we had. I'd strongly suggest getting the pool view because it was night and day from the outer perimeter room we started with. The floors of the hotel rooms are saltillo tiles, and from someone who has lived in many a saltillo tiled homes, keep your shoes on. It's so hard to clean the grout and tiles perfectly, and I'm sure the maids aren't on their hands and knees steaming and scrubbing between stays. Beyond the tile, the bathroom was clean, water pressure was fine. Bedding and furniture was clean. No big complaints. The restaurant was closed for renovations during our stay, which was a bummer. The bar was also closed during our stay because we came on Monday and left Wednesday morning. The bar's schedule is open every day except Monday and Tuesday. We used the pool while staying there and it was fine for sunbathing and a quick dip. The hot tub was closed for maintenance, but it was too hot out for using it anyhow. Long review short, if you like hotels with character, then you should have a fun stay. I'd say the YO is perfect for someone looking for a cheap stay (we paid $220 total for 2 nights) that doesn't mind tile floors, kitschy decor, and rooms with a little age. It's way more interesting than The Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express!

While the lobby area looks amazing, the experience in our room was a different story…read more During our stay in the Rio Grande section, we accidentally spilled some water on the tile floor. When my wife wiped it up, the towel came away black with filth. We addressed this concern with the front desk the following morning; the clerk was polite and understanding, assuring us she would notify housekeeping. We headed out for the day and returned mid-afternoon. While the room smelled of cleaner and there were visible damp spots on the floor, we decided to test the cleanliness ourselves. We wet a fresh towel and wiped the tile again--it came up just as black as the first time. At that point, we decided to cut our trip short and asked to check out two days early. The front desk staff remained professional and informed us that they would authorize a refund once Expedia contacted them. We were pleased to find that the refund was indeed approved two days later. Summary: Aside from the significant cleanliness issues, the rest of the experience was average. However, given the state of the floors, we would not choose to stay here again.

The Good... Location is easy to find off IH10…read more Price under $100 with group discount. Clean enough. The Bad... Hot tub jets didn't work. Well ok, two jets for the feet worked, not the back / wall jets, where I was needing this therapy. Boo. The Ugly... Breakfast. Hard boiled eggs available on Saturday, yet none on Sunday at 8am. I asked kitchen guys and front desk. There response was no eggs on weekends. Hmmm. Later I found out from another conference attendee, she got the last hard boiled egg earlier that morning. So LQ response to me doesn't make sense. I needed protein! Biscuit and gravy was not what I needed. Eggs can be made many different ways. I think LQ was confused thinking I meant the hot item of egg. Cold hard boiled egg would have been fine. Ugh. They did offer scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon on Monday morning. It was ok. Still no more hard boiled eggs tho. * my apologies to my Yelp friend Don for not reaching out while in town. I know you'll see this review. I was at a conference in Fred. Early out and late getting back. I was with another attendee so it was hard to make any plans outside of what we were doing. Would I stay again? Yes. I get Wyndham points.

The first room we were given had a horrible mold smell that hit us as soon as we walked in. The staff moved us to another room, but it somehow smelled even worse -- strong mold and another unpleasant odor we couldn't place. I would look for a different hotel if you're planning to stay in Kerrville…read more Room was well used and in need of updating. The small refrigerator hummed loudly. I finally unplugged it, the next morning there was a small flood on the floor due to the ice in the refrigerator melting. The next surprise was when I got home was discovering the hotel charged me more for the room that the reservation I made with Expedia. I called Expedia, they said there was nothing they could do, it was up to the hotel to agree to refund the difference. The hotel would not agree, said I was quoted the wrong price from Expedia. So I called my credit card and disputed the bill, sending them copies of the quote and the invoice I received from the hotel. They issued a temporary credit to my account, about 3 weeks later I got a letter saying the credit was permanent, so I guess the hotel agreed to refund the difference.

Has a restaurant, 2 huge pools, spa and a really nice pub with huge bar and lots of tables and dance floor. The room was a little musty but large shotgun style with doors on the parking lot and the courtyard. Courtyard side has a small table and chairs to sit out. King bed, desk/chair, 2 more chairs, small refridge and microwave. Small TV with Dish. Large picture window overlooking the courtyard. The reason only 4 stars is because of the bathroom. When they remodel, and they do need to, they need to move the bathroom wall into the bedroom about 5 feet. Room would still be huge and bathroom much better. Counter top about 6 inches above my knee and sink about the size of a mixing bowl. Toilet paper holder is behind the very low toilet, not sure how anyone but a gymnast could get it. Huge door opens into the bathroom. Pocket doors maybe???? Not a handicap room because a chair or walker could not get thru the door. Maybe bathrooms were not as important back in the day. Good location and nice people working there.
