The property at this resort is gorgeous. Our studio apartment accommodations featured a mini kitchen, a Murphy bed, and a BBQ pit on the back patio. (The Murphy bed had seen better days. ) It also included two pools and a hot tub. However, our back door lock was broken and was not repaired even after we reported it. And as always with these resorts, we attended a "short" meeting about the World Mark program that was more than two hours long.

This resort is amazing if you're looking for a secluded place with great scenery. They offer free stargazing on Saturday nights, activities throughout the week, and all the staff is helpful. Truly a place to unwind and relax :)

Finally, I have arrived at the WorldMark (WM) Hunt Stablewood Springs resort in Ingram or Hunt, TX, after 2 days of 10+ hours each of driving from So Cal. From the Interstate 10 freeway exit, it will be another 14+ miles before getting to this resort. Anyway, the GPS took me to the Bumble Bee Ranch instead of the resort. Somehow the resort is located next to the ranch and they share some parts of the area. I ended up calling the resort for help. Kim was very helpful and gave me another address to punch into the GPS. I got to the resort without issues. Thank you Kim! Just a tip, it may be best to disclose more specific details in the reservation on how to get to the resort so guests do not get lost or have trouble getting here. It was around 9:00 PM and it was dark. PLEASE BE WARNED... there are a lot of huge crickets (quarter size... maybe even bigger) that are jump happy LOL. They primarily come out at night. Check-in was easy and smooth. Got my unit key. Drove to Bldg. 9. My studio unit was upstairs which wasn't too bad since I only had 1 suitcase, a cooler, and a bag of can foods+water. Loved everything about my studio unit... it was very spacious, comfortable queen size murphy bed, good bathroom space, decent partial kitchen, great sitting area with TV, and lovely balcony overlooking nature trees. The only downside was that my studio unit didn't have a washer and dryer in it. I'm used to staying in units with the latter, but that's okay. I just had to wait until my next resort to do my laundry. My overall 2 nights stay was very pleasant. Resort was quaint and had a romantic feel to it... at one point, I thought I was somewhere in Europe. Maybe the star gazing experience got to me LOL. Staff was friendly and fantastic. Thank you Michael and Bianca for our wonderful conversations and recommending some great restaurants. Also thanks Bianca for offering to wash my clothes for me... it was very kind of you. I didn't get a chance to check out the city of Ingram because I stayed in to rest after two days of driving and that's okay. Happy Worldmark'ing! P.S. You're probably wondering why I was even here... drove all this way to sleep? LOL... well, let me share... WM is a vacation ownership (similar to timeshare, but not exactly... just a whole lot better and amazing) that I purchased in 2000 and I've been a WM owner since and will continue to be so until the end... BEST investment in my life! I wouldn't have travelled the way I have if I didn't take a chance with WM many blue moons ago. I am so very grateful for WM. Thank you WM! One of my life's goals is to stay at all 90+ WM resorts LOL. What a fun goal, huh? I'm about 20+ resorts shy of reaching my goal... yes, you did the math right LOL... I've stayed at 70+ WM resorts so far which took me 22+ years to do... averaged out to be 3.18 resorts per year at least for now LOL. Thanks to my recent TX road trip, it got me over 70. I will boldly and fearlessly continue my journey to more WM adventures! One fine day, I'll meet my future life partner through one of my many adventures as he is seeking me and I am seeking him LOL.

I came here at the beginning of July. All amenities were closed except the pool. They were allowing up to 40 people at a time (3 sessions) to be in the pool. We were able to get in each day we asked. Unfortunately, when we arrived the cleaning crew was just finishing our room. So as we went in and check the rooms, the pull out couch was still dirty with tons of cereal, bbq pit was still dirty and full of ants, and a few drawers had dead bugs in them. (I rather they be dead than alive) At night, I had ants crawl on me and bite up my hand. They were in the headboard and only came out when the flashlight was shined on them. It was just the first night. Almost as if they were just walking through. The other nights, they were never found again. The patio door handle came off, which was quickly fixed when called, and our guest restroom never did lock. We didn't call because we had already called the front office a few times already. The view is beautiful (House 8). The spacing within the house and outside on the patios are nice. The couches were not as comfortable and we thought it was because the pillows that usually would be on there, were gone because of COVID-19. We had to pay for the internet, which we thought was bogus as we were part of Wyndham timeshare members. Overall, its expensive, beautiful and very elegant. Had all the minor setbacks been fixed prior to us arriving. I am pretty sure I would have given a higher review. We stayed in a 3-bedroom presidential suite, I will upload my pictures for you to see.

Used our RCI points to make reservation. Wanted to reserve one of the presidential one-bedrooms. Could not define that on RCI. When checked in was placed in a traditional room. When a presidential room was available, Bianka, the rooms manager called us while we were in Fredericksburg. Told us that the room is ours from a return. Put us in a two bedroom. Amazing room with a bottle of wine waiting for us. I cannot recommend this place more. The condo is amazing, And the people go above and beyond to make you happy.

Jamie & B (Bianca) in the front office are friendly & helpful. They gave us easy directions to our spot & gave us plenty of info on things to do at the resort & in the surrounding area. We enjoyed talking to them so much! They were great! We drove across a small bridge in the resort into the Adults Only section & I swear I heard the birds chirping a happy little song welcoming us...lol We looked into the water & my bf said "I wonder if I can fish?! (He could & he did!) We had an end lot in the center. It was a perfect spot w a nice, sturdy metal table & 4 chairs. The area was quiet & peaceful. At night all we could see were stars...and more stars. This is the place to be for stargazing. At the time we still had our 24 ft RV & it fit perfectly. On the outside of the circle in the Adults only area there are huge spaces for larger RV's & motor homes. During our stay we walked up to the office to buy a few things & the prices were actually reasonable compared to other RV resorts we have stayed at. We loved the Adults Only pool & hot tub. We wish more resorts actually thought about the fact that there are a lot of Adults that want to relax at the pool without kids yelling, screaming & splashing them. Some of us are trying to get away for a wknd & relax. At other resorts there are kids running wild everywhere with little to no supervision. If you book here, especially in the Adults Only area, you will actually be able to enjoy a tranquil getaway. You will hear the wind blowing, not kids screaming. Don't worry though, if you're traveling w the Brady bunch you can book one of the many lovely spots in the other section of the resort. There's a pool for everyone that is also very large & nice. There you can enjoy the sounds of your children screaming & splashing with new friends! Speaking of friends, we met some of the most wonderful people on our last trip to Buckhorn Lake. At some RV resorts I have heard /read reviews complaining that long term tenants are unfriendly. Well, we found just the opposite. We met numerous people who stay at Buckhorn for months at a time and they were all so welcoming! One evening we ended up in the front "yard" of an amazing couples spot for hours. They were friends w a bunch of other regulars at the resort also. Our absolute favorite person at this resort has to be Chris! He came into the pool area our first night when we were in the hot tub. He was just making sure everything was turned off (lights) & locked up. There's a code to get into the very clean & nice restrooms. We ended up talking quite awhile. He told us all about the fun events that happen at Buckhorn Lake RV resort. This isn't JUST an RV park. It is truly a resort with plenty to do OR not do. Your choice. My bf had fun fishing in the early morning. (Catch & release) There is a fitness center & game room. They have tennis courts! There is also a really cool outdoor bar area near a big red barn for Happy Hours & Potlucks. They have an awesome theater room where they will soon be having a Super Bowl party. Every wknd they plan activities for their guests. There's no pressure to join but everyone is welcome! Chris takes care of the grounds & even stops by everyone's RV in the mornings to get your trash for you. He has the best personality. He made us want to come back bc he made us feel so welcome. I wish everyone had the kind of positive attitude that he has & loved their job as much as he does. He may never know this but he was a huge reason why our 1st visit to Buckhorn was such an excellent experience. If you ever see this, THANK YOU SO MUCH CHRIS! If you want to enjoy the Hill Country in the Kerrville area there can't possibly be another place that could come close to being as great as Buckhorn Lake RV resort. This is just my opinion though. The fact that we booked 3 more visits in advance the day we checked out is proof enough! This place books up... Apparently we are not the only people that know how great this place is. We visited Buckhorn the first time in September 2022. I decided to wait & visit more RV resorts before posting my review. I can tell you without a doubt that this resort is excellent. In comparison to others in the Hill Country it has more activities & more amenities. It is definitely more beautiful! We have stayed at other great places but there is something special about Buckhorn Lake. Go & find out for yourself! Our next booking is coming up & we can't wait! Btw, I have so many more photos but they are on my old phone. I'll add them ASAP!

The campground itself is clean, and the sites are spacious with plenty of shade, which made our stay comfortable. The pool area is excellent, and the food offerings were surprisingly good. One area that was disappointing was the miniature golf course. It appears it has not been maintained regularly. There were numerous rocks and debris on the greens, several holes were filled with golf balls, and some of the clubs were broken. With proper upkeep, this could be a much more enjoyable attraction. The activity center staff were another weak point. Many of the younger employees seemed disengaged and lacked enthusiasm for the activities. When we asked questions, we were often met with "I don't know" responses, which was frustrating. Better training and more involvement from staff would greatly improve the guest experience. The bathhouses could also benefit from more frequent cleaning and maintenance. Since we stayed in our travel trailer, this was not a major issue for us, but it may be for tent campers or guests relying on campground facilities. One of the main reasons we chose this campground was because we were told we would be able to tube directly down the Guadalupe River from the property. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the river was stagnant due to a lack of rainfall, making tubing impossible. We understand that river conditions are beyond the campground's control, but it would have been helpful to receive more accurate and current information before booking. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the clean campsites, shaded areas, pool, and food. With better maintenance of the mini golf course, improved staff training, and more up-to-date information about river conditions, this campground could provide an even better experience.
