I was so taken care of for my wrist surgery by Dr. Olson. The minute I walked in the door until I left was pure perfection and care. The nursing staff was terrific! Even removing my ring without having to cut it. Would highly recommend. read more

If i could give this hospital zero stars i would. Every interaction that i have had has been extremely negative. Everything from condescending comments to misdiagnosis to plain flat out negligent care has been experienced at this hospital. I have been taking adderall on and off for almost ten years because i am text book ADHD. In all the places I've lived I've had a positive experience with my dr. When i went in to get some medication at this hospital i was treated like a drug addict, told to pee in a cup for a drug test and sent on my way, with out medication and to never to hear another word. Basically i paid 175$ to get slapped in the face by a condescending asshole. My wife literally has had 1/2 a dozen terrible experiences. I would rather drive thirty extra minutes with my main artery bleeding out inside my car then step foot in this hospital ever again. read more

I have heard bad things about HVMC ever since moving to Midway 5 years ago so it was with trepidation I went there on New Years Eve 2017, I was experiencing what I thought was a heart attack so I went to the Emergency room entrance, I was immediately surrounded by responsive caregivers that found I was indeed having a heart attack but that I needed a larger hospital, and I was rushed via ambulance to Utah Valley Medical Center and I was taken care of very well. I was a patient for almost a week recovering from surgery. PT, Rehab, Nurses, Dr's and all staff from food services to cleaning were friendly, kind, and helpful. They tried to make my stay as pleasant as possible. read more

If you're looking to pay ridiculous amounts of money (for simple procedures, like a fishhook being caught in a thumb) and be treated like a paycheck this is the hospital of your dreams! You won't able to pay rent, buy food, or pay for gas to fill your car with what these jokers charge. Thank God they get to buy their fancy shmancy cars. read more

I am not one to usually leave a bad review, but I can not believe the way I was treated. My doctor requested blood work for an exact date, which fell on November 14th which is Saturday. My husband is out of state for work, so I drove in from Wyoming with 2 small children for this blood work. I arrived around noon I was ushered to the emergency department to check in to go to the lab, and when I walked in, the woman at the front desk was EXTREMELY rude, and told me that they would not see me because I had my kids with me (who were wearing masks by the way.) She then informed that that "because this whole COVID-19" kids couldn't even come into the hospital. I was completely taken aback, as she rudely stated that she would register me, but they probably wouldn't even see me. Never in my entire life did I think I would be discriminated against and denied healthcare for having small children. I traveled in from another state to be told they would not see me. So disappointed. If I was this hospital I would be taking a better look at who was the front line because they did not leave a good impression. read more

If it were possible to give them 0 stars for this review... I would. This hospital only cares about your pocket book. They will charge you astronomical amounts of money for simple procedures and they don't care how it affects you. I would rather drive the 40 miles to a clinic in SLC or die trying, than step foot in this hospital again. read more

I am an Xray tech that has worked everything from Trauma ER, Graveyard, (by myself), OR, CT,MRI, Diagnostic and specialized in Mammography; working with cancer patients. I've worked as a traveling/contracted Tech as well as long term in large teaching institutions as well as little small country hospitals. I have been an ER patient, as well as a patient on the floor. I can honestly say that the majority of Heber Valley's staff may as well go work in the stock room at Walmart. The nursing staff had the worst bedside manner, I have experienced in years!! 1st, for a new hospital NOT to have individual temp controls in ea room...I was shocked. My blood pressure was up do the the large amount of pain, so I was HOT! I was given ice paks, which was considerate, from DeLane. The staff at no time introduced themselves (if I can put a womans breast in a vice grip, or stick a tube up someones bottom for a Barium Enema and they leave, thanking me...and regularly being awarded customer service awards due to patients and co-workers..I don't think my expectations are unreasonable). The first nurse confirmed name/DOB before putting ID band on, and that was the first and last time. I have an allergy to ALL Codein's...at no time did anyone ask me about drug allergies (I was in for kidney stone, getting something for pain), I brought it up to nurse and MD. The nurses came in, did whatever they were to do, (not having all the tools to do their job, they had my husband digging through drawers looking for something). As for trying to keep me comfortable and make it as good of an experience as it can possibly be: NOTTA! They had a TV, no clue how to use it, the remote was on the counter, I guessed it was our responsibility to find it and figure it out. I don't know if they had a "call button". I guess since my husband was with me, and I was to have (another) alleregic reaction to meds, he could just go get them. Oh, and I found a straight, black medium length hair, on my bed (I was wearing my hair "curly" that day). Walking by an empty room; lights were on, some sort of procedural tray had been opened, used??? They just had the towels thrown over it, sitting there and the bed had not been cleaned, yet. Maybe they were busy and didn'thave time to clean the room, yet, you might ask??? I guess they would get to it after (all) their coffee break. They were all sitting in the control desk area, chatting it up...NOT IMPRESSED! Obviously, it's an ER, they must have been busy...NOT! We saw 1 other door closed...I guess everyone read the memo about their ER, and there were only 2 desperate fools in town. In the middle of the night, in severe pain...I think I'll by pass this hospital and drive an extra 30 minutes to SLC! I felt like a customer in the auto dept at Walmart instead of a PATIENT in the EMERGENCY ROOM!! I was reminded by my RN friends that I was warned about the ER (at Heber Valley) when we first relocated, 1.5 yrs ago...Dr Graham was nice enough, Nurse was Jen and DeLane, Delane was considerate, as previously stated. Have no idea which lady was "Nurse Jen", or ER Tech/Nurse Aide "Trish". At one point, there was a nurse, or someone who had tended to me who showed compassion by touching her hand to my shoulder as I was returning to my room; that was the warmest fuzzy I'd recieved; too bad I was never told her name, so I can give her proper kudo's.The only reason I know any of there names (besides the MD), is b/c I took a picture of the communication board, on the wall in the room. I guess the boards they put in the patients rooms are kind of like the cash register, these days. You know, the ones that talk to you, so the cashier doesn't have to;((((( Very sad read more
