    Shrimp fettuccine Alfredo plate lunch
    Jaime B.

There's a reason why this place is rated five stars. From the location, to the environment, to the friendly service staff, to the vast variety of products. This place is a staple piece in lake Charles now. Nowadays you go get a double cheeseburger from a fast food place and spend $16. I went in to get the crawfish étouffée and crawfish dip but left with two plate lunches for $13 each. Much better than a processed cheeseburger. Please go and support this local restaurant. You won't regret it.

Lake Charles: this was a very good place. You can get everything first the lady that was working behind the counter. She was very very good. She showed me the inventory. She explained all the meats she explain the Boudin, the burn, and the Cracklin's. Everybody there was super nice the staff was very friendly and I would tell anybody to go there., they definitely put a big smile on my

Can't say enough how happy is am this place exists in general, but especially in Lake Charles. Their frozen food trays and meats taste like home to me- spicy, delicious, and made with love! I just had a plate lunch today- crawfish ettoufet stuffed chicken with cheesy potatoes, green beans, white beans, with a bread roll. The chicken, ettoufet were delicious and well seasoned. The cheesy potatoes were great. I didn't try the white beans. The green beans tasted as though they had too much worsteshire for my liking. However I will be back!!!!

Great food. Gigantic selection. Many items that you can't find anywhere else. Especially during the holidays.

This was the very best Boudain balls we have ever had. And their Boudain was great. Will be back soon. Drove from SE Texas for these.

After much per reasoning of the choices of the area we chose, Roy's Meat Market! From the moment we stepped into this beautiful establishment, we knew that all the previous reviews were true, a proven hidden gem. My first question was what is Bohdin? With that our waitress promptly pulled an entire 16 inch link out of the pan and cut it into three pieces and told us to try it and see if we liked it. It was delicious, I asked her what I owed, she said nothing. Everyone needs to try it! At that, my wife and I ordered, I ordered the shrimp. Po-Boy sandwich filled with the condiments that I selected. My wife ordered the smoked turkey salad, it was huge! We then ordered a couple of beers, and proceeded to our table to wait for our food. We were greeted by some wonderful people sitting in the dining room, who were so kind and so welcoming it felt like we were at someone's home sitting around the kitchen table with old friends. Come to find out it was the owner, and one of his longtime, trusted customers and friends. As we were getting ready to leave, we were able to have a wonderful conversation with the owner ourselves, we've made a decision. The folks down here are absolutely kind as can be and so welcoming. In regard to the food, try it all give it a chance and you won't be disappointed!

I was worried they'd wonder what some out of town folk were doing in what could have been a local haunt, but that fear was false. The shrimp po boy was perfect. The jalapeño Mayo brought just enough heat to open you up, but not so much that you hated your life. I'd definitely recommend this place.

There's gulf fresh shrimp within 5 minutes of the location. I ate the crawfish Étouffée, It had somewhat of a fishy flavor. You could tell the crawfish were bagged and not fresh. My fries were warm only. I asked where the fish came from, most places advertise catfish now and give you Swai. I wasn't willing to take the chance. Our waitress said it could be a while before she could answer that question. The shrimp order were soft, not firm. You could tell they were cooked in the crawfish boil, and were gritty. We ordered a burger that was mediocre at best. Crawfish order was fine. There are plenty of places around serving fresh local seafood to be eating food sent from Argentina. Save your money and eat somewhere else.

We ordered boudin balls and I think it's called the Beauxdines special. I was supposed to come with both snow and Dungeness crab but they were out of dungeness. Our waitress was nice but very very busy which was understandable given the crowd. The crab was a little dry, they shrimp very big and juicy the crawfish were ok, I was expecting a little more spice. The corn and potatoes were also not spicy. The boudin balls were very large and those were good.

So after performing at New Orleans Jazz Fest this past weekend, we finally made a stop to see if it lived up to the praise. Pulling up, it honestly looks like a simple gas station pit stop--the kind of place truck drivers frequent (and judging by the steady flow of trucks, that checks out). But stepping inside was a completely different experience. It was clean, open, and surprisingly welcoming. Before even ordering, we found ourselves in the frozen section grabbing items to take home--boudin, deer sausage, gumbo... you name it, they had it stocked and ready. It already felt like one of those hidden gems you're glad someone put you on to. Then came the food. My boyfriend has been talking about their fried ribs for over a year, so of course we had to order them. He also got chicken wings, while I kept it light with Cajun boudin balls and green beans. First bite of the boudin ball? I was pleasantly surprised. Flavorful, slightly doughy, but still really good. But let's get to the star of the show... The fried ribs. As someone who's lived in Texas for over 20 years, I had never even heard of fried ribs. But baby... these were it. Perfectly seasoned all the way through, incredibly tender, and honestly--you could barely even tell they were fried. Just juicy, flavorful, and done right. This review is really just to say: fried ribs are real... and In-Laws does them right. If you're ever driving between Texas and Louisiana--somewhere around Lake Charles or Lafayette--do yourself a favor and stop here. 10/10. Highly recommend.
