This place was packed when we arrived but the wait wasn't long. The inside was a decent size and they have patio seating as well. They had live music which was a great time! We ordered boudin balls and I think it's called the Beauxdines special. I was supposed to come with both snow and Dungeness crab but they were out of dungeness. Our waitress was nice but very very busy which was understandable given the crowd. The crab was a little dry, they shrimp very big and juicy the crawfish were ok, I was expecting a little more spice. I stopped in here with a group for an early supper on a Saturday. It was busy, but there were still plenty of tables so we sat right away. I wasn't very hungry so I just ordered the Boudin Eggroll Appetizer. It included some Ranch dressing for dipping and the 4 Eggrolls it came with were the largest Boudin Eggrolls I've ever been served. They were also the best tasting. They had just enough cheese to keep them from being too dried out and were tasty. I would order this again if I was in the mood. Now I want to go back to try more things on the menu, but our server never came back to check on us after our order was delivered. I had to work really hard to flag her down to request a to-go box and a long time later to flag her down again to get our ticket and remind her about the to-go box. My advice is to try to get your ticket early if you can. read more

We ate here with friends. I wish I reviewed the menu before coming. Waitress was great. The post on their menu that shrimp comes from Argentina. There's gulf fresh shrimp within 5 minutes of the location. I ate the crawfish Étouffée, It had somewhat of a fishy flavor. You could tell the crawfish were bagged and not fresh. My fries were warm only. I asked where the fish came from, most places advertise catfish now and give you Swai. I wasn't willing to take the chance. Our waitress said it could be a while before she could answer that question. The shrimp order were soft, not firm. You could tell they were cooked in the crawfish boil, and were gritty. We ordered a burger that was mediocre at best. Crawfish order was fine. There are plenty of places around serving fresh local seafood to be eating food sent from Argentina. Ate with a group of 8 plus 2 kids, they sat us effortlessly and our waitress was attentive and checked in often. Our food was all great (crawfish and lots of fixings). Unfortunately when it came time for the bill every item was mixed up amongst the parties. People were being charged extra for items they didn't order, tickets were getting swapped up at the register and cards were getting charged incorrectly. When I went there were no choices for people who have seafood allergies. I was unable to have anything to eat.

We are from out of town (Ft Worth. Tx). We were anxious to try something new as we usually go to Steamboat Bills. Upon arriving they asked our party size (6). We requested to seat inside as we were bringing my elderly father (86) and his small service dog. We were told that we had to sit outside, because we had a service dog. So we were forced to sit outside in the breezy, but nice outdoor patio and endure the live music. I am sure some enjoy it...but we were looking for a casual dining experience where we could visit with our local family. Obviously someone needs to read up on the American Disabilities Act (ADA) and the access afforded to service dogs in restaurants as governed by federal law. Sadly we were disappointed to be discriminated against because we had a very small service dog. I guess we will remain loyal to Steamboat Bills read more

I had a bowl chicken sausage gumbo with potato salad, husband had chicken fried steak with fries and green beans, roll. Well, let's start with his meal . Came in a three compartment to go box, cutlery was on top of gravy on steak, roll and green beans cold . But the cfs was a good size but had no where to put it and cut it. Cutlery melted when he used it to cut steak. If your going to use throw away make sure it's durable . Anyway gumbo was good but put cold rice in hot gumbo. Potato salad was gross. The grated cheese didn't melt and the sour cream topping made the room temperature potato even colder. The cheap plastic fork they served it with broke off. My daughter and I went for an outing and after most places were closed for brunch by 2:30, Beauxdines was my next option. Definitely not a brunch spot but I was happy about the choice. We had smoked boudain, sausage, crawfish, boiled/steamed crabs and shrimp. It was great! You can purchase frozen prepared meats to go and I racked up on the boudain, sausage and some stuffed chickens!! We sat inside and it was spaced out nicely due to covid. The patio was crowded!! Wow what can I say. The best crawfish in south Louisiana hands down. On Tuesday is all you can eat for $40.00. It gets busy so get there before 5pm. Very large crawfish and they are seasoned just right. Cold beer by the bucket and much more. I eat here every time I come to town. Keep it up guys. read more

Wknd trip to Lake Charles at Golden Nugget. Had reservation at Vic & Anthony's but CANCELLED to try this new place. Came at perfect time on a Friday Night (5pm). Got in just before the crowd. Live Band, good crawfish (early in the season), AMAZING shrimp & succulent crabs (warm garlic butter & spice). And a bucket of beer is SIX beers (TX is five). Indoor & Covered outdoor seating. It's 4 pm, they are marginally busy, I waited at the hostess stand for 10 minutes without so much as a welcome, finally seated myself at one of 10 empty tables, just to be greeted for the first time by a waitress with "you know you can wait" in a condescending tone. We went for the first time last night because we checked the menu and it now serves other entrees besides boiled seafood options. I love boiled seafood but my husband is not a fan. The new menu now has fried seafood and hamburgers etc. I got boiled shrimp which was the absolute best in town. The shrimp were large, juicy, deveined and perfectly seasoned! My husband got the fried shrimp and he said they were perfectly cooked, well seasoned and wonderful. We are excited to have found another place in town to add to our restaurant rotation! Two stars for the loaded fries appetizer. We came during lunch. May need to try again at night because I've heard good things but that wasn't our experience. The sweet tea tasted sour. I got a shrimp salad that came in a to go container. It must've been put together that morning or even the day before. Lettuce was wilted and stuck to the bottom. It had such a shrimpy fish smell I couldn't eat it. I closed the box back up, the waitress asked if I wanted it (not if there was something wrong with it) I said no and she picked it up and threw it in the trash next to us. I asked about oysters. She said she would have to ask the cooks if they are making any but she didn't really want to. Husband got the shrimp and crab stew lunch special. He said it had good flavor but the rice was still hard. It was like bad gas station food in a nice looking restaurant. Again, the loaded fries app was good but I don't think that's very hard to make. It's ok I guess been to better seafood places service is slow food slightly on the cold side live music is nice but would I go back most likely no the menu is too short not much to offer for those who are on a healthy option mostly everything on there is fried except for the boiled shrimp crabs and crawfish no grilled fish or anything offered on the menu for healthy options When asked for extra ice your Told ice is almost out no management or owners walked around asking how everyone was this is how you find out how your business is doing especially if it is as new as it is I will most likely give it a year to increase and get better before going back not the best but not the worst also on the music option with the live band the noise from the band is too loud for the servers cannot hear what you're ordering or what you ask they need to tone that down or fix that problem with Relocating what is the band sets so The music does not bounce everywhere is across the tin roof which makes the sound 10 times louder also if you're sitting on the patio it would be wise to close the dumpster lids so you did not have to smell it smell like bad seafood in like you're in a swamp not the best smell especially when the wind is coming down from it in my opinion this place needs work the owners need more attention to what's going on in the waitstaff not looking very professional with booty shorts I don't want to see that and a family going out wants to see that so in he wants opinion this place needs to be classed up a bit owners pay attention read everything someone telling you and have a suggestion box so you can find out what's going on with your business six dollars that I spent down the drain and not worth it read more

This place is fantastic. We were in LA on a day trip from Houston. Stumbled across this place and decided to chow down without looking at reviews and such, glad we did!! Got the trio (3# bugs, 1/2# shrimp and 1/2# snow crab; or blue crab your choice. The shrimp are huge and juicy! The crawfish very consistent and spicy! The snow crab was great too. The flavor profile was absolutely out of this world. Everything was perfect yet reasonably priced; $69 for 2 adults and 3 little ones. Beer and alcohol was reasonable. They don't have catfish, fried shrimp or po boys. However, what they do- they are experts at. The menu is condensed and absolutely fantastic. We will be back; the 2.5 hour drive is definitely worth it!! The staff is friendly and attentive. The restaurant is super clean, I know it's new; however they clearly are taking care of their due diligence with the cleanliness and sanitation. Their restrooms are spotless, reminded me of the Texas famed buc-ees. Highly recommend. Those crawfish made my lips and chin burn for hours, so so so damn good!!! read more

Cool atmosphere and the music was cool but the musician had his amp turned up extremely too loud. We couldn't even have a normal dinner conversation and the poor waitress had to run to our table only when he wasn't singing because it was so hard to hear. There was no reason for it to be that loud because we were one of 3 tables there. The food was ok. Shrimp didn't taste like fresh gulf shrimp but was ok. The kids macaroni was overpriced for what it was. Husband got fried shrimp and oysters. The oysters were not fried enough and leaked all over everything else.
