A week later and I'm still thinking about this place! The staff were so kind and helpful with questions I had and even suggested items. Everything I ordered was delicious. Wow whee! What a great little place for a break and fabulous Cajun food! As usual we were looking for something good with a spot that we could sit outside with our fur baby. We almost passed this one up because of some negative reviews but we are so happy that we decided to try it out! My hubby got a cheeseburger and fries. He LOVED it. I opted for the crawfish pie, cracklings and boudin ball. Of course my hubby had to try mine and he liked it so much he sent me back for another of each one to go! If I were to rate Rabideauxs on their cracklin alone I'd give the 1 star but because of their smoked sausage and the selection of items, I'm giving them 3 stars. The cracklin weren't good at all, if you want good cracklin go to Billy's at exit 98. One thing that I didn't like was how someone that was standing around talking to his buddies outside came in and told a guy, in a disrespectful way, that he couldn't park in a certain place and that's why there was parking in the back. This large Texan family was not disappointed with this place! Two half-plunder cheeseburgers were 10/10, the crawfish pie was so delicious, it's a shame there was only one left, the catfish dinner fed two people in our party, the sausage was definitely among the best I've had, and I have a daughter who said: "I want anything WITHOUT meat" who ate a meat pie and raved about it being the most delicious thing she's eaten in Louisiana. One of the best smoked sausages EVER, I don't know why it has taken me so long to try theses sausages but I'm so glad that I did. At this point this is the only brand I am now using in all my recipes that requires sausages no more Richards or Savoies. I'm from down south Louisiana and sausages is a big deal, I now resides in Texas and I can't find good sausages here at all so every time I take a trip back home I make sure to purchase several packs. I swear I grew up on Rabudeauxs since I was 3 my paw paw always brought me there for there catfish and amazing boudin balls. I have NEVER found catfish that is so clean and tender anywhere else and I refuse to buy from anywhere else! Great place to stop and get your boudin and pork cracklings. The boudin tastes great and it's not too spicy to where you can't enjoy it. The pork cracklings were amazing.
