My 4 year old hearing aids were maxed out and malfunctioning. My previous audiologist was unable to…read morefix the aids and only wanted to sell me new ones at an extremely high price. I went to Audiology Associates and Melena easily adjusted my old hearing aids so they were functioning but not optimally.she then described the best option in hearing aids for my profound hearing loss, which cost about half the price quoted by the previous audiologist. The new aids worked perfectly with the settings she programmed. I am now able to hear significantly better than I have been for many years. Thank you Melena

I am fortunate my parents live nearby so I can make visits as needed, and they are always understanding and flexible in accommodating my schedule, even working with me remotely to program my digital hearing aids. I have a congenital bilateral severe-profound hearing loss, profound on the left, where I am eligible for a cochlear implant. Yet I have always done so well with hearing aids, thanks to their skill programming them to fit my needs, an implant is deemed unnecessary. This is a true testament to their skill. I was mainstreamed in public schools with assistive devices and went on to obtain a master's degree and now work as the staff biologist for a national program in the USDA. I cannot thank founder Marcia Dean and current audiologist Todd Sauter enough for their help along the way, I owe my success to their hard work. They quickly understood any issues I was experiencing, despite often lacking the language to describe it, and made adjustments and provided recommendations for the best hearing aids for my needs, patiently trial and erroring different companies when it is time to upgrade. I am always so impressed with the ease of working with them. They are extremely generous with providing tools to care for my hearing aids, and understanding of financial limitations, still finding the best aids for my needs. They are always pleasant and work expediently to prevent patients from waiting long for their exams. I am always happy when I see a busy waiting room as I know everyone is getting the best care, (having tried other audiologists over the years in other states and been seriously disappointed), and I never wait long, even when they squeeze me in the last minute. They have been a dependable mainstay over all my years and moves & I can't recommend them highly enough.

I must add that the coordination couldn't have gone better. They arranged a bed for her in the CCU and the Dr who would be doing her surgery spent time with me over the phone explaining what needed to be done & how it will work. From the time we boarded the ambulance to the recovery room I highly doubt it could have gone any smoother. She came out of the surgery, then recovery, and was immediately taken to the CCU. The poor sweetheart had lines upon lines, oxygen, etc. And when she woke, clearly upset. The nurse ( Karen) that is assigned to her has been so very kind, compassionate, and highly skilled. All the other caretakers have been wonderful. It's been 3 days and she's still in the CCU. But she's doing quite well, healing nicely with the excellent care she is getting. What started out as a frightening experience turned out to be a very positive one & I can't thank them enough.

Alexander was very dismissive when we let him know that we were upset for waiting nine hours for a 10 second conversation. literally waited 2 1/2 hours for him to come down and say you're all set. This is something he could've said to the registered nurse and she could've told us 2 1/2 hours previously. There is a huge amount of time, wasted on basically lack of communication . when we were ready to check out at 4 AM, the nurse that we were trying to get to check us out said she had other priorities and to be honest it seemed like she was creating things to do so she didn't have to take care of us right away. Her name tag was also conveniently flipped as she was giving us a very slightly snarky attitude. I understand an emergency room is an emergency room as we were reminded multiple times basically to tell us we shouldn't feel the way that we do. But at the end of the day you're still charging insurance and co-pays so you're still making money. There should still be some sort of customer service. in any situation, if given a choice. I would not choose umass

First of all, I have been with this practice for over 10 years. When Heidi was there, it was…read moreabsolutely FABULOUS. Consistently above and beyond my expectations. However, since she left, it began it's downhill descent and the last few months it has completely fallen off a steep cliff. About 3 months ago, I ordered new hearing aids. I've ordered 3 pair through them now and it usually only takes a couple of weeks. The first call to check on them, I was told they hadn't been ordered yet, but was assured they would be. I waited a couple more weeks, called back, and was told they weren't in yet. I waited a couple more weeks to call and they still weren't in. A couple more weeks go by, and now ALL locations are closed "due to a medical emergency" and they will be closed another 2 more weeks. So, I wait the 2 more weeks and they are STILL closed, but this time the person who called me back said renovations and it will be a couple more weeks. Now, I wait 3 weeks and called again today only to get the same recorded message that they are closed due to a medical emergency. Not only was I in need of this new pair of hearing aids, but they also knew my old pair was dying on me and they have to be sent back for refurbishment before the warranty runs out NEXT MONTH! Meanwhile, this pair won't make it through the day and I have to charge them again. SMH... How can a company do this and leave their patients in the lurch like this? You would think that SOMEONE in the office would call all the patients who have active files and have been waiting for delivery on repairs, returns and new orders and at least give them a heads up on what the plan is. Furthermore, is the closure really due to medical reasons and what kind of medically emergency closes ALL of the practices for over a month?!?!?!? Something fishy is brewing and I think I may be out a pair of new hearing aids now. I will DEFINATELY be seeking a new audiologist and I just discovered the Heidi has her own practice now in North Grafton - Heidi's Hearing! I would look to her first and foremost
