Marley and Ziggy looked great after getting their little sPAW treatment. Love this place! Came here for the first time and I can definitely tell you I will be coming back. Dani, the owner, is very detailed, knowledgeable and you can tell she loves what she does. She goes over the price and grooming breakdown so you are aware of what is going to be done which is super smart as other places like PetSmart don't do this. Next, this place does not use those cages to dry up your dog like PetSmart or other groomers. The owner has a very well ventilated salon and it's very secured so you don't have to worry about your pooch running out. Also they are all highly trained and certified. Lastly, we stopped going to Petsmart's and other groomers in the heights because my pup would always come back scared and breathing heavily due to exhaustion. Today was the first day my pup came back smiling and super happy! Was using CityPaws for months. I took my miniature schnauzer here in May, and following his grooming he was gnawing at his paws. I could not tell what happened as it was the first time he'd ever done so, and I called city paws to understand what happened. They said the groomer had no notes of issues, and I should just treat it as though he was reacting to the new cut. I took this as it was, but after watching him gnaw at his paws I finally checked between the paw pads and they had completely burned the insides of his paw pads. I immediately called them, and they mentioned they had no record of an issue and were apologetic. I had to apply neosporin and use socks for my dog to stop him from gnawing his paws. I wish someone could have just let me know if happened, rather than saying nothing happened and letting me go about as if this was the case. The cut was rushed, and not as I'd asked them to do. Sum this up to say - won't be bringing my dog back. They can be great when they're great, but when they're not great it can really create an issue. read more

Awful!! They poodled my doodle. I was recommended to this place by a friend, so I took the chance, and skipped our normal go-to groomer. Huge mistake!! I texted Monday to schedule an appointment with them Saturday at 10am. When I arrived, nobody was at the front desk, and one of the groomers had to check us in. She reviewed our paperwork multiple times before asking another groomer if it was "okay". Prior to leaving, she told me she would give me a call to ask about her cut. They didn't give me a call until 2pm to ask how I wanted her cut. I told them 1.5, scissor around the face and ears, trim privates, etc. You would think since they "specialize in doodles, per their Instagram page" they would understand. She wasn't finished until 4:30pm. So why even schedule me at 10am?! When my bf sent me photos, I couldn't believe we got the same dog back. They cut her hair wayyyy too short!!! She wasn't matted so why shave her down?! Definitely seems like they overbooked and rushed this job. Customer service was also awful. When I texted them I was unsatisfied with the cut, the only thing they said was, "Sorry, I'll make sure to note it for next time". I'm sorry, but there won't be a next time. read more

Really bad customer service ! The manager is super rude ! Today 5/5/22 I dropped of my pup for grooming . My pup has a bit of social anxiety and takes time for her to get use to strangers . I wrote it down on the list and made sure to tell the lady in the front desk about her behavior. I brought her with a muzzle to Protect the employees as well as my dog . The lady at the front desk was really nice and said it was okay that they where going to work on building her trust with them . Come back home and get a call from them . We were recommended to city groomers by the groomer that grooms my little dog. We dropped our dog off at 11 am and did not receive a call at the four hour mark which was 3:00. When speaking to the receptionist/ owner, she was very rude. I asked what time he would be ready and she said 5:00. I told her that I was told 3-4 hours would be the range of when he would be ready, not 6 hours later. She would not let me speak and told me that was a normal wait time for a first timer. I explained that the groomer for my little dog gets him out in one hour. She told me I was free to take him to that groomer if I was not satisfied. Surely won't be returning to a facility that allows a receptionist with no manners to sit up front and talk to clients like that. Took our 5 month old Havanese here for her first grooming. They did a very nice job and even allowed me to send picture examples of what i wanted. I was pleasantly surprised they even called me prior to grooming to suggest a longer cut so my pup would still be fluffy. She came out very cute. We are in Houston for medical reasons and we're recommended to try - 8 weeks ago they cut are Aussie Labradoodle - too short on body and way too long in top and beard - thought I give them benefit of doubt went a second time - big mistake ! Showed lady in front the picture how we wanted him cut ..after 4 hours called and said another 1/2 hour - waited in lot - another hour past - claimed he was still on table - going in 6 hours - we were upset / called upset and claimed since we are not regulars it takes longer - owner came out to parking out and " just take your dog now - no charge "- that wasn't our intention / totally no professionalism at all- plus they didn't cut him according to picture - paws looked like bear claws snd ears were cut like a cocker spaniel - she should be ashamed of herself - I'm sure she can care less - they don't know how to cut doodles - I still said give this tip to whoever as we weren't are looking for a freebie - don't waste your money read more

Was recommended this place by a friend and I regret going. I called to clarify what they will be doing to my dog since my boyfriend dropped her off (I was unable to go due to work). Whoever answered the phone was extremely rude. I was just asking questions to understand what was going to be done to my dog and she was treating me as if I were stupid. It's not the bad haircut that drove me to write this post. It's the principal of when you tell someone that something is not correct and they tell you that you are wrong or well your dog is still cute and the hair will grow. When I complained they told me to bring my dog back in. I asked them to cut the hair off the ears so the ears would stick up. The owner told me that would not work. So I took my dog home and cut off the hair myself. And yes, now her ears stand up again. So I drove back to show the owner and asked the groomer to finish what I started but the groomer had already left. The owner said we can fix it next time, never said I'm sorry or you were correct. I guess it doesn't matter when you have a lot of clients but I do think that they might not really know what they are doing. I've decided not to go back and will look for a better groomer especially if I'm going to pay $75 plus tip. I didn't do a great job cutting her ears myself but she better than the groomer and more like her cute self! read more

Best grooming service. Super friendly and accommodating. I'm pretty picky about my Morkie's haircut and have been disappointed several times in the past at different groomers when she's come out looking like a little shaved rat more often than not. However, at City Paws Dani and her team really spent time assessing what we wanted for Chippie offering suggestions on her cut and we couldn't be happier with their service. They keep notes on the pups cut so you can just say same as last time. Our pup has never been crated so they keep her in a play pen :) also, their communication is great, she's there for a few hours and they call you about 30 minutes before she's ready and right when she's done so we can scoop her up right away. We recently moved to Lake Houston and still make the 30 mile drive to the village for her grooming because they are that good! read more

They are okay. I've used them twice now after moving to Houston. Last time I called a week in advance to schedule for my two Pomeranians but when I walked in they didn't have my appointment. Luckily they were still able to fit my dogs in. I groom them myself regularly but I like to take them in to be professionally groomed every two months for a sanitary trim and groom. And usually they look really fluffy and beautiful after being professionally groomed, but when I picked them up from here they just look normal to me. Also after the first visit they didn't trim their paws so I called to ask and they said it'd be extra which I usually don't have to pay extra for at my old groomers. So this time I said it's fine but they only trimmed two of my girl's paws so I had to get scissors and trim the other two myself. I probably won't use them again since both experiences have left me feeling as if I could have done it myself. read more

If you're looking for a groomer, you can stop looking!! I couldn't expect anything better. The shop was cute, trendy and clean. The owner answered every call and all my questions! It was my first time there and she took her time looking at pictures and trying to get a true understanding of what I was looking for. You can tell from the cut that she is highly trained and knows/loves what she does. Pricing is well within reason and affordable. My furbabys grooming was well worth the price and drive. I'm glad that I found City Paws because Petsmart was charging me the close to the same amount and using watered down shampoo and you can tell they didn't have any true training. I found out that the manager at Petsmart was really the only one truly trained and it was hard to even get her to groom my doodle. I won't be going anywhere else! read more
