Demi's provides such a personalized experience and gives me peace of mind that I know my dog is in excellent hands, which is not something you get with the franchise daycares. Dogs get much more individualized attention and oversight from the whole staff, and everybody knows my dogs name and personality very well. When it comes to leaving my dog for either a day of daycare or for days on end for boarding, I cannot emphasize enough that there is nowhere else I would trust more than Demis to know my dog is happy, safe, and well cared for while I'm gone. read more

Absolutely in love with this place. Very flexible drop off and pick up times which is perfect for students like me! Drop off times are between 7-9:30AM and they text you when your pup is ready! I loved how beautiful they made my puppy look. They don't use kennels which is also a huge plus for me since I didn't want her to be cooped up while she waited for me to pick her up. Only down side is they don't separate big dogs from small dogs when they are left to groom. But they assured me that if a dog is behaving a bit too aggressively with a small dog they do their best to mitigate the situation. Kala loved her spa day at Demi's and can't wait to go back! My pup has anxiety. They sent me a picture of her playing with a ball, which made me happy. She seems to be doing okay after her appointment, but I wish I could have seen the facility. I came here based on the reviews, but I find it a little odd I cannot walk in. There's a gate and they want you to use the intercom when you arrive, and they bring out your dog when you pick up. They take your card for payment and bring it back. It's just unusual to me. I don't think "curbside" is best for me. Secondly, I asked for the furmiator service. I noticed she still had a lot of loose hair when I saw her. I asked if they brushed her and she said "yeah, it wasn't a lot". I said odd, she's been shedding all over my house. She used her walkie to ask somebody and said "yeah, not a lot!". I'm very frustrated. $85 for just a bath is a bit much. I also asked them to not give her treats because she has a sensitive stomach. She has been up all night with diarrhea. I probably won't come back because she already has anxiety, and I would feel more comfortable being able to see how they operate with the dogs. read more

We love the friendliness and great customer service, however, we picked this daycare due to the professional education and certifications held. It is definitely not the closest daycare to our house, but exceeded others in their dog care knowledge/experience. Recently this expertise identified a health issue in my senior dog that we would not have noticed. The professional knowledge, attention to each dog and prompt communication confirms that our choice in dog care was the right one. Our pup has been going there for almost 11 years. He is sad on the days when he can't go to daycare. The entire staff is loving and caring and there's no better place for your fur baby to be when he/she is not with you. The whole staff is very professional and during Covid they have been exceptional and making sure each of their clients is safe. I can't imagine what we would do without them. Their boarding is so great, I'm not worried that my dog is in a cage for days on end while I'm away. The grooming is also fantastic. They have a full line of treats and know what's best for your dog. They also have a great fundraisers so that you can get pics of your dog from any special occasions. It's such a wonderful place. I am blown away by the customer service at Demi's Dog House! I can't believe it took me so long to find them. I've only visited during COVID and am so grateful for their safety procedures. They have a gate set up outside of the shop and they don't allow any of the customers inside. Their employees all wore masks and they used their own leashes to bring my dog Denver in. I brought my dog for a grooming session (full bath). The price was reasonable, about $60 for my 55 lb dog. I think they have cage free holding while the dogs wait to be groomed so denver had the time of his life running around with the other dogs. They also sent me a report card detailing Denver's day at the Dog House and what friends he made. It was the cutest thing ever!!! I'm so sad that I'm moving away but I will definitely be back when I get to Houston :))) I highly recommend Demis!!! read more

Dodger (my adorable Shar Pei/ lab) has been needing a bath and nail trim for ages, but a lot of places were fully booked for the day. I decided to give Demi's Dog House a try since they weren't too far. They actually managed to squeeze us in last minute! Not only was I thrilled by that, the staff was extremely welcoming and immediately tried their best to make Dodger (and myself) feel at ease. They even sell non rawhide bones and natural dog food! Dodger was very happy at the end of his grooming, so I know they must have been very gentle and good natured groomers. Great staff, excellent service, and top notch products? Loved our experience at Demi's! Took my pup to get groomed here today and she came back soooo soft and beautifully cut! I've had lots of experiences where my dog spends over 5 hours at the groomer, most of that time spent in a crate while she waits for her turn. I hated that. Finding a place where she could potentially roam free while she waited her turn was my main priority. Thank god for Demi's!!! She was able to hang out and socialize while she waited, and I felt way less anxious about dropping her off at a new place. Even better -- I dropped her off close to 9 am and she was ready by 11! Demi's came highly recommended by a couple of my friends, I wish I would have known about this place sooner! The drop off window is 7-9:30 and of course, I had a rough morning and missed the time. I called around 10:00 and they were very understanding and I was still able to bring Princeton in. Thank you! Even though I was late dropping him off, they were still able to finish grooming him at 1:30, the time we scheduled. I was able to see a photo of him once he was done being groomed on their online customer portal and they have live webcams. When I picked him up he was even cuter than I expected! Great place, I take my dog there for grooming, daycare and boarding; he's always happy to go back there ( doggies don't lie) Great costumer service, and very friendly staff! Grooming: you need to make sure you make your appointment ahead of time, as they get booked up really fast. Once you have your appointment, you get a text reminder the day before. They also have a waiting list and they do call you if they have a cancellation. Daycare: clean and fun facilities, you can go to their website and click to see the pups playing I only wish they also had grooming appointments on Saturdays, as I live a bit far, and it would be nice to drive there without traffic. read more

They throw 15-20 toys into the middle of a group of large dogs in a cramped room and wait to see what happens. Well, most people know what happens next - Potentially a dog fight and when that does happen, Demis will side step ANY and ALL responsibility. Ask any dog daycare if this is a good idea and they will tell you no way. Demi's will tell you this is a safe practice, but I can tell you knowing that a dog got hurt(had to go to the Vet) during this "game" it is not safe. Highly recommend this place for dog baths! I used to take my dog to a different place and he would absolutely hate going there (I would have to carry him inside) and I thought it was because he hated bathing. However, when I moved cities and tried this place, he absolutely loves coming here. He's smiling when we come and leave and not to mention he smells/feels so good after! Imo the cost is pretty reasonable too. I have a 55 lb large dog and I pay around $65-70 with tip. At my old groomers I used to pay closer to $100. This was my first time going to Demi's. The outdoor drop-off/pick-up area is great for COVID-19 precautions, and getting Mila's nails trimmed and dremeled was only $19.49 after tax! Pros: - Cameras to watch your dog when they are inside - My dog was worn out when I came to pick her up - I feel like my dog was well watched Cons: - The place is very crowded. That might just be how it is at doggie daycares in Houston, but it seems a bit hectic in there. - Although most of the staff is really great, I can see what people mean when they talk about the one lady being a little too curt. - The one time I took her two days in a row, she was sick for three days straight. I think it wore her immunity down so I never brought her in more than once a week after that. - I don't think my dog was very happy here. They told me my dog had aggression issues which is so sad because I take her to dog parks all the time and she is the sweetest and most submissive dog ever. My little 3.5 y/o Maltese, Eveline (Evie), absolutely LOVES Demi's!! She's been going there since 2016 for boarding and grooming & I honestly couldn't imagine taking her anywhere else. I love their cage free environment and how much they care about our pups. My sister has just started taking her 4 month old maltipoo in for grooming, as she was so impressed with how great they were with Evie when she would pick her up from grooming or daycare. Demi's is great! They really care for your dog and treat him like a family member. Our long hair Chihuahua is usually going there for grooming and he always looks so pretty and shiny when he comes back :D. He also went there for daycare when I was visiting my family in Germany and my husband had to work long. He loved it there! My husband told me that he started pulling his leash happily when they came close to the place :). The staff was very friendly and they were always telling my husband how our baby was doing each day. The best thing was that I could watch him through a webcam while I was in Germany :), so I could always check how he is doing. You can actually see how nice the staff treats the dogs and that they often play with them, clean the rooms etc. I completely trust them and I can recommend this place to anyone who wants to know his dog in good caring hands :). read more

This review is hugely overdue... We've been taking our two dogs to Demi's for about 2 years now. I could go on and on about Demi's, but here are a few things that really stand out in my mind. Love of Dogs... First and foremost, everyone at Demi's LOVES dogs and dogs love them. When we first moved to Houston, the obvious love of dogs that everyone who works there demonstrated is what made us choose Demi's. Ours run in the door and throw themselves into the waiting arms of Jennifer for some quick belly-rubs. When we were out of town for about a month (we took the dogs with), the crew actually came outside to greet the dogs when we pulled up because they missed our dogs. If that doesn't give a dog-owner warm fuzzies about a daycare/boarding facility, I don't know what would. Check-ins while Boarding... when they are boarding, Nicole (the owner) occasionally sends me a quick picture or update on the dogs. Not because I ask, but because she assumes (correctly) that we miss the dogs and a picture would make us smile. Action photos... Megan... you are amazing. Megan works at the daycare, and the dogs LOVE her. When she isn't playing with the doggies, she is taking their pictures. She posts hundreds of pictures to her website, which are absolutely amazing. Some are also posted to Demi's web-page, if you would like to see a peek. So if you are someone who loves to see pictures of your pets, you will love Megan. I could go on and on... but you get the point. read more

*My review will be based on my experience with grooming* I decided to try out Demi's for a good bath for my 1yr old siberian husky Mylo. I heard good things about this place of everything they offer so I took a tour of the place to allow Mylo to get familiar with the staff. I got to meet Megan (front desk), Lindsey, and two of the groomers, unfortunately I forgot their names... Megan showed me around and was very nice and answered all my questions. She was wonderful with my boy and really took the time to make Mylo comfortable. I came back the following day to turn in some papers and brought my fluffy boy along and he was anxious to get off, upon entering there was Megan again and he was completely familiar with her already and got belly up, the same with Lindsey too. A couple days after that it was finally bath day and he said hi to his friends Megan and Lindsey then I left knowing my pup was in good hands. 5 hours later I get a call that he's clean and ready :) When I got there Mylo wasn't so anxious to leave like in previous places I've taken him for a bath, this was really good. He smelled sooooo gooood, other places never made him smell this good! I also liked how they were honest with me when I asked how was he during the bath. Precious times in other places try would tell me "he was good" or "he was good but got a little mad with his feet". Lindsey told me straight up that they had to cover up his muzzle cause he wasn't cooperating at all with his legs and paws. Besides that he did good. I was surprised with the detailed explanation. I also love how they don't cage up their dogs and let them roam in an area free. In sum, Mylo will definitely be back here whenever he needs a bath again on a couple of months :) and kudos and thumbs up for Megan and Lindsey, they are wonderful. I also want to mention the daycare they offer, I was extremely interested in putting Mylo in at least once a week. They have cameras everywhere and you can even watch your dog via webcam with your computer or mobile device! Unfortunately I was told that they are not taking in anymore dogs at the moment because they are completely filled. But that maybe after the new year some spots might open. So I can't wait until the day there's a spot for my boy. They do require a evaluation of your dog to make sure the dog is compatible with everyone else which I thing is great..so I hope Mylo passes when the time comes. So if you have a husky that needs a good bath come to Demi's!!! (Or any other pup) read more

I love Demi's so much!! My sister and brother in law used Demi's for their cray cray lab all the time so she would come home and somewhat chill the hell out. They also used Demi's for overnights whenever I was unable to watch the dogs for them. In all the 5 years of my dog's life I have never boarded her because I'm super paranoid and protective of her and worried that she will be mistreated. It's a completely irrational fear, I know, but one night this past May I had no choice but to board her overnight. What a relief to know she enjoyed herself!! Not only do they call to check in with you if you ask them to but they texted me a picture of my fur baby having a good time! I was so pleased with the staff here. Also, after having such a fantastic boarding experience I decided to switch to Demi's for my dog's grooming needs as well. They do a superb job and I know my dog is happy when she is there. Awesome Doggy daycare, no other place can match up to their quality and care - And they have pup cams!!! No one else offers that. Location: Great for anyone who drives to downtown - it's in midtown. Or great for anyone who lives in the area! Process: For a first timer they do have an evaluation process($15) to make sure your dog fits with the rest of the dogs. Which at first, I didn't understand why it we needed to. But after seeing on the pup cam how the dogs interact with each other, it makes a lot of sense. You want to make sure your dog has a place and interacts well with other dogs. Drop off time begins at 7 AM, nap time is around 11 - 1:30 ( can't do pick ups at this time), and you can pick up your dog any time after that! Day Care costs $30 Staff: They really care, very coordinated and professional. They switch the folks every now and then during the shift , and they look really attentive. The ladies at the front are quick and just all around caring. Dog: My dog looked scared but after a while he became more calm and oberservant! But I really thought this was a good experience for him to socialize and be around a lot of other dogs. It's different from the doggy park experience, so it's definitely something to try out. This is also super convenient if you need to board your dog! Great place! read more

Demi's has been such a lifesaver. My husband and I work long hours and I felt so bad leaving my pup at home every day. When I called to inquire about their services, Nicole spent 15-20 minutes on the phone with me answering all my questions, explaining why they do things the way they do, etc. She went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. I also really appreciate that they do a screening of the animals they take in. I've heard they can be picky about certain things, but that is only to ensure the safety and health of the dogs. I really believe the reason Nicole's business is successful and the reason her customers rave is because the staff at Demi's genuinely care for their "member" animals. I also love the webcam - and so do my mom and mother-in-law. I love that I can actually see him some during the day and in addition, the transparency is very comforting. They have nothing to hide. We will continue to use Demi's and I look forward to continue supporting their business. read more

Demi's was a lifesaver when my husband and I were working long hours and our energetic Doberman pup was stuck at home all day. Nicole and her staff are very friendly, attentive, and seem to really love their jobs. Unbeknownst to us, our dog, Andrus, once cracked a tooth on a bone at home. The next day at Demi's, some of the staff noticed Andrus was acting a little funny when playing with another dog. They discovered his tooth was cracked and immediately called us at work. They also sent us pictures and gave us some suggestions on what to do. Amazing customer service! They are reasonably priced for the area and they offer package deals, referral discounts, and contest prizes around holidays. They have a small dog side and a large dog side and they have cameras set up so you can check in on your pup via their website. Best of all - our pup LOVES it and comes home exhausted!! read more

Update - Emmie has now been visiting Demi's 2-3 times per week for 4 1/2 years now, and she still absolutely loves it. In fact, on our morning commute she knows when we getting close to Demi's, and she starts going crazy with excitement. The staff works so hard at creating a safe and fun environment for all the pups, and I love seeing how much they truly care for Emmie. They are her second family, and she is always sad to leave at the end of the day. I have had the absolute pleasure of building a friendship with Nicole, the owner, who has done a great job developing her business and her team to ensure that your pup has a safe and fun place to go during the day. They make sure to let you know of anything that is going on with your pup and even give them nap time during the day. They have webcams for your to view your dog during the day... honestly can't say that I have had to get on the webcam, mainly because I trust their team to take care of my dog. My dog loves boarding with NIcole and her team and doesn't even realize that I am gone! Which is sad and awesome at the same time. Our 2 dogs attend doggy daycare at Demi's 1-2x a week. After trying several other daycares before Demi's, I can confidently say that this daycare is a loving, nurturing, structured play environment that is great for all dogs. Unlike other daycares, the class size is smaller and allows for supervised play without being overwhelming to the dogs. There are many areas indoor and outdoor where the dogs can play with toys, get in the water, cool off by a fan, or take a nap. My dogs LOVE coming here, and it is so exciting to see them on the cameras all day having a great time (even if they're just resting on one of the many hammock beds). My favorite part is the staff is always interactive with the dogs whether that be throwing toys, taking cute pics, or simply petting them. I feel as if my dogs have been shown the most love here by their daycare staff which is important when I can't be with them all day. read more

My dog was very happy with the service and they have a puppy cam set up for peace of mind. After a discouraging doggie day care experience at a different local daycare, we were worried that our high energy pooch would not be a fit for daycare until we found Demi's! We have a golden retriever pup whose a little over a year old and has all sorts of puppy energy! He is playful, loves other dogs (sometimes a little too much), and just wants to share his love with the world. When I dropped him off for his eval day, Benjamin was hyped up and ready to go - He nearly dragged me through the door and immediately hopped up on the counter to say "GOOD MORNING!" I was worried that his energy level was going to prove to be a problem again but they were so accommodating and I know he had such a good time! We watched him a few times on the cameras and he was having the time of his life with all of his new friends. He was also so tired when we picked him up at the end of the day which was a nice change of pace for my fiance and me. I loved that they have the cameras so you can periodically check in and they provide such helpful feedback when we picked him up. They immediately knew Benjamin and they were able to tell us how he had behaved that day, what we should watch out for if we take him to the dog park on our own, and just made us feel so welcome. Our last day care experience left me feeling like a bad pet parent for not taming Benjamin when he's not a bad dog, he's just got alot of energy. Demi's didn't make me feel that way- they made me and Benjamin feel right at home and I felt reassured knowing that my dog has a place to go where he can make friends and burn off some energy!! They also provided us with a report card on his profile. The report card was detailed, specific, and I could tell they took the time to get to know him during his eval and then took the time to write a helpful report card on what he did well, what he didn't do so well, and some of the things we should work on at home (barking, humping, etc.) If you are looking for a doggie day care or boarding place, especially for a high energy pup, I could not recommend Demi's enough :) We loved it as did our goofball pup, Benjamin, and we will definitely be back for more daycare days! read more
