All About The Cakes is a new business in town and one that I'm certainly hoping they become a permanent fixture. They have approximately 15 different specialty mouthwatering flavors of cupcakes for you to figure out which ones to take home with you. I wish their website listed their cupcake flavors, so that I can state with certainly the proper names of our chosen cupcakes. Sadly it does not. (Their website is heavily biased towards their special occasion cakes, but they have a website. Not that many places in Auburn can say that.) I chose a vanilla cupcake with a strawberry frosting on top while my cupcake buddy selected the one affectionately known by the bakers as "death by chocolate." Chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting all throughout. I was pleasantly pleased to see that my cupcake had a delicious filling in the middle, as well. I've never had such a fancy, and may I add decadent, cupcake before. It was tough to wait until we were home to eat them, but once they hit our mouths they were all gone in (practically) one quick bite. Laurie, the owner was there, along with one of her employees. Customer service was prompt and friendly (and patient!! It took us a while to make up our minds; the choices all looked so yummy). Next time I don't think I'll be able to walk out of there without trying one of the mini cheesecakes. I hope others start reviewing this business, so I don't have to eat my way through reviewing each flavor of cupcake on my own! Oh and if I remember correctly, I want to say my total for the two cupcakes was under $4.00 (I want to say it was $3.21, but that was yesterday---a loooong time ago already!) I definitely recommend a visit to this sweet treat in Auburn!

The food had been consistently good. They have classic mom and pop griddled burgers, decent quality meat, made to order, always hot. You can choose from a plethora of fried goods and an in-house prepared breaded tenderloin that represents a Hoosier tenderloin well. In recent years, the business has been passed down to a younger generation. That came with some modern upgrades in marketing and packaging, including online ordering. The economy as well as new owners, has also made portion sizes smaller (a $3 French fry is now smaller than a small at a typical fast food joint) and the prices have also increased. Ten dollar burgers are standard most places now, but over $15 for a burger meal at a drive thru stand may be hard for some patrons to swallow. The custard and soft serve is delicious, albeit, still not a cheap treat. The staff is always efficient and friendly. The inside appears clean and orderly. The outdoor seating area and the appearance is charming, while still maintaining the old school vibes and nostalgia we all love about the Brown House. It's not an inexpensive meal, but the quality is good, service is consistent, and they still include the peppermint in your sack to round off your meal.

I got the classic brown-ie sundae, and it was wonderful! The frozen vanilla custard was dreamy, the brownie chunks were warm and rich, and the hot fudge sauce was thick and decadent! It was topped off with peanuts and whipped cream(I skipped the maraschino cherry). Will definitely go back!
