Store front faces private parking lot in the strip mall.

This is one of those hidden gems if you are into vinyl records. The store is great because you don't have to drive into the city to find a great selection of high-quality records. It's in a strip mall just east of Kipling off of Coal Mine in Littleton. What makes this place nicer than most I've visited is the albums are well organized and of high quality. I was looking for an old Traffic album. I found a few copies and each was priced between $12 and $18 based on their quality. I like that there is different pricing because it lets me know which is the best copy. I got the one for $18 and it's perfect. The vinyl quality was beautiful and I've played both sides many times already. The album looks and sounds like it's brand new even though it's from the 1970s. Looking through his selections you can tell Joe is very picky as to the quality of albums he buys. The covers are in great condition and each record is in its own plastic sleeve. He takes his vinyl seriously. Half of the store is dedicated to the records. The other half looks like old DVDs, books, jewelry, antiques, trinkets, and memorabilia. Honestly, I was just interested in the vinyl so I just glossed over the other half of the store. But if you're into vinyl records (albums and 45s) this store is well worth a trip to check it out!

Flippant, Dishonest, and Deeply Disrespectful Buying Experience and the records are overpriced…read more I have shopped here in the past and based on the high prices of the used records, I assumed my used records would sell at fair market value here but this was not the case. I brought in a curated stack of clean, high‑demand records and was met with one of the most disrespectful experiences I have ever had. The buyer behind the counter was openly flippant, dismissive, and acted like I had no idea what I was bringing in. His attitude alone set the tone -- rushed, condescending, and completely uninterested in treating me with respect. I think it takes longer than five minutes to look at the quality and condition of 30 records. He opened with a lowball offer that did not match the titles, rarity or the condition, and when I questioned it, he said "records not selling" while we are standing in a store literally packed with people buying vinyl. It was insulting, and it was clearly meant to make me feel like I should be grateful for whatever lowball number he threw out. The moment I pushed back and asked for my records back, his offer suddenly jumped up but still well under a fair trade. That tells you everything about their honesty and ethics. It was not about fair value -- it was about seeing what they could get away with - how low they could lowball. To top it off, they paid with a check instead of cash, which made the whole thing feel even more disrespectful, inconvenient, and dismissive. In hindsight, I wish I had taken my records back but I was so disoriented by the disrespect and clerk behavior. And it made me realize why I never sell or trade records. If you care about being treated with basic respect or honesty, take your business somewhere else. I will never buy anything from this disreputable unethical establishment. And you should not either. This is not a mom and pop business but a business operating without integrity exploiting its customers.

The staff is friendly and helpful to answer all of my questions. I reflected on all the cool vinyl albums that I've had in past and at Twist & Shout you can relive them & purchase them. Their selection is so vast that I believe you would find what you are looking for. I came to see if they wanted any of my old CDs. They did take some of them and I received store credit! Free parking is available in the back. Go check it out, you won't be disappointed! Who knew that they have been around since 1988 and it all began with 2 English teachers purchasing the store at an auction. Oh and check out the food trucks across the street on Saturday's before 1 pm!

Warehouse Vibe This…read morelocation has more of a warehouse vibe to it - not quite as vibrant and modern as some of the other stores. You still have an amazing selection of DVDs, records, books, toys, and more. Very fun shopping experience!

Great selection, I could spend all day in there. Sometimes things are even cheaper than on Amazon…read more Last time I went in I was asked if I wanted to donate a toy to a children's hospital- how can I say no to that. But what I didn't know is it tacked on an additional $25 to my $12 total. Oh well. Today I went in and got two books that were $7 and a box of pocky sticks, then I was asked about donating coffee to the troops with a big pitch about the beautiful gift basket it comes in- okay, I felt too guilty to say no- and my total was $36. Double what I thought it would be. What? What was I supposed to say. I paid my total disgruntled and left and from now on I will purchase on eBay or Amazon. There is never any information on what you're donating or the cost. My friend behind me also got roped into it and felt the same way as me. I already donate to a lot of charities and sometimes I just want a good deal on a used book or two without a guilt trip as I have a hard time saying no. Lately I have ended up losing money by shopping here for used books vs the competitors for new books. I don't mind donating but make it CLEAR about the cost. Not everyone has endless money.

This was a fun find in Nederland…read more I've been a vinyl junkie for years and have slipped off the beaten path over the last few years. This was the necessary kick in the pants I needed. My wife and I were enjoying a nice walk around town and as soon as I saw a record store (in this tiny town, no less) I knew I had hit the jackpot. It's a small shop, though it packs a punch. They were undergoing some maneuvering and restocking on this particular day, so they have an even larger more robust collection than what I happened to see. I always let the record store guide me to ear porn enlightenment. I enjoy many genres of music, but when I visit a shop I read the room and let the music do the talking. Which led me to the reissued release of High On Fire's "Art of Self Defense' a cult classic in the stoner metal realm. Picked it up and bought it on the spot. The employee was super kind and down to earth. I spent a good chunk of time sifting through records, but knew my wife would kill me if I spent too much time in there. Now I get to add a wonderful record store to my Nederland excursions. Consider me a happy camper!

I enjoyed my stop in, found a record I was on the hunt for.
