I recently purchased a new 2026 Ford Explorer from Heiser Ford in Glendale, and I can say without hesitation that this was the best dealership experience I have had in purchasing four new vehicles over the past 30 years. My first contact was with Kreyshia, who I believe handles Internet sales. I gave her the exact specifications I was looking for: model, options, color and other features. She quickly identified a vehicle that matched what I wanted. From there, the process involved Kreyshia, Devon in Finance and Insurance, and General Manager Chad. All three were exceptionally professional, courteous, patient and informative. What impressed me most was their genuine effort to earn my business. They worked with me to meet all of my financial requirements, including the final purchase price, my trade-in value, financing and extended warranty. The entire negotiation process felt almost effortless because of how professionally everything was handled. Peyton was the salesman who ultimately finalized the transaction and delivered the vehicle to me. He then spent more than an hour and a half sitting with me in my new Explorer, patiently explaining its many electronic features and helping me get everything set up, including Apple CarPlay, the FordPass app and account, and numerous vehicle settings. Peyton was extremely knowledgeable, patient and tenacious in making sure I understood what I needed to know before I drove away. His attention to detail and willingness to spend that much time with me after the sale was especially impressive. I could not be more pleased with the entire team at Heiser Ford. Kreyshia, Devon, Chad and Peyton made what can sometimes be a stressful experience remarkably easy and enjoyable. I know a lot of people don't trust dealerships but my experiences with the Ford dealerships have always been good. I typically go to Lake Ford but I found myself with the low tire pressure light on last Tuesday when it was negative degree weather. I checked the tire pressure and sure enough it was low in the left rear tire. I keep an air compressor in my car but it wasn't working due to be stored in the cold weather. I was fairly certain gas station air hoses would be frozen so I looked for a ford dealership thinking the service department might still be open. I saw the Heiser Ford service center and pulled up. An employee came out and informed me that they closed at 6 and it was almost 7. I apologized and explained my situation. The guy, I believe his name was Alex, said he could help. He checked my tires, filled them and refused the cash tip I offered him. I am so grateful for his assistance and have been keeping an eye on the tire. read more

Based on other reviews it seems something has changed recently - and if you're just doing generic, basic fixing, they may be okay. Anything more than that and they're inept. Charged over $190 for a hybrid battery diagnostic. 1. They don't call with status updates. When you call them you get mixed answers ("it's ready", "it's not ready", "don't know, let me check", etc.) 2. They do repairs without getting your approval first (like every other dealer does). 3. They lie. They claimed they fixed the battery charging issue, but the issue remains. As far as I can tell they didn't really fix anything related to why I brought it in. So over $300 later (repairs and maintenance stuff), the core issue is still there, unresolved. read more

I honestly dread taking my car in for any kind of work. If we're being honest, normally that's my husband's (or even dad's) job just because I know very little about cars and what's normally needed. That being said, this was a swift and easy situation. My Ford's passenger side handle had fallen off... likely due to it being broken into. I'd called Ford and they were able to book me in for the following week. They asked a few questions upon my arrival and then checked me in. Their waiting area is really pleasant and includes tvs and wifi, with plenty of space to work, which is what I did. The only real bummer is that it took over two hours, yikes. Again, I don't understand the ins and outs of cars and what they kind of repair would entail, but a broken handle wouldn't seem to be very extensive. I am fortunate enough to work remote for my job, so it's not tough for me to hangout and work anywhere, but just a friendly warning to others to carve out time in your day. Heiser Ford graciously took care of the cost of repair, which was much appreciated. They were easy to communicate with and seemed really professional. We purchased a used 2019 Ford F150 Lariat from Heiser Ford on Tuesday 5/2 evening just before close. Upon signing the papers we purchased the extended warranty and they were trying to charge us an extra $100, which she eventually waived. When we got home to IL and were looking through the paperwork, the sticker that was hanging in the car says $42,295 and we paid $42,995. We asked that it was detailed before we picked it up and it was not even washed. Wednesday morning 5/3, we went to start the truck and it would not start with the push to start or the key fob the first two times and then had a tough time starting. The engine knocks when starting and clicks while running. We contacted Ken our salesman ASAP and let him know the issue. Ken was very accommodating with anything we needed and worked with Bob Gigl the sales manager. They told us we can exchange the car but Heiser does not have a vehicle that is comparable to what we purchased. Only thing Ken could find was a Chevy or Corvette engine and $25k+ more. We were looking for a Ford F150 Lariat, with moonroof, adaptive cruise, leather, slide window and 360 camera. Bob told us 5/3 at noon that he could pick the car up he and leave us a vehicle to use he just "did it in Detroit" very rudely. Bob told us that he had a meeting from 1-2 and would be working on it after. At 4 my husband called to get an update and Bob told my husband "I told your wife I was in meetings" and that there was nothing he could do because we are in IL and could not give us a car for insurance purposes. So clearly he had an answer for us but just that he didn't relay the message to us and told my husband he was in meetings which ended 2 hours prior. I've since learned that during that call Bob told my husband that "it is what it is" and to get it fixed in IL with the warranty. When my husband said he's not going away with the truck issues because he works hard for his money he spent on a truck with these issues. Bob's response was "I'm not scared". Bob has been very unprofessional and disrespectful when speaking with us. We ultimately ended up escalating it to Blain Boudreau the GM because of how unprofessional Bob spoke to us. We ended up taking the truck to a local place in IL to fix as we were not going to drive back to WI numerous times adding miles to the truck and they were not seemingly accommodating the issue. We got a 4 page workup on what they fixed on the truck and had it for two weeks. We did have to take it back to Heiser to have the handles swapped out and detailed because it was part of our deal. They told us we couldn't get in until end of July, in speaking to Blain he got us in within a reasonable timeframe that worked for us. We brought it back and it took 30+ minutes to find a car for us utilize while it was there all day, but they did get them swapped out and detailed good enough. Ken did say "it purrs like a kitten now" which in our opinion makes us think they knew something was wrong with the engine. All in all Ken did what he could for us and we're very appreciative. If you need anything skip Bob Gigl and go straight to Blain for assistance in resolving anything. read more

Took our vehicle in for scheduled service appointment and had to wait for more than 40 mins for a shuttle ride. Received a call around 3:30 stating that they wanted to keep the vehicle through the next day after I told them I needed it back at the end of the day when I dropped it off. None of the work was completed which included simple things like a oil change and adding nitrogen to the tires. Called the next business day and asked to talk to the service manager who wasn't available. Left a message in his voicemail and never heard back from him. read more

I've dealt with this particular ford location three times, and none of them were pleasant at all. The first time was when buying a car, and every sales person jumped at the opportunity to get a hefty commission on whatever car they could sell us at their extremely inflated prices. After we did end hop buying a car, none of the issues that were found were even covered under the warranty that was promised with the car, and we ended up paying out of pocket to fix MULTIPLE issues that were Completely missed by the techs at the shop. The second time that I was there, I waited outside trying to talk to a service tech to see what was covered under my car's warranty, and since I'm a young adult I was met with skepticism and I wasn't even able to get in contact with a service tech after waiting for half an hour. Multiple service technicians just watched me knock on the garage doors and decided not to open up. I immediately went to a more professional location. The last time was this past week and showed us how truly ford has gone down hill. The company isn't willing to admit the HUGE, NUMEROUS issues that their electronically shifting manual transmissions have, and when my mother took it in for warranty, she was strung along and given completely unreasonable estimates that were way too much money, and we even got matching quotes from other shops That were roughly $1,200 less (quoted just under $6,000) We declined service and just decided to have the recalls done on the car. We were presented a 2 day repair time estimate, and 8 days and 4 phone calls later we finally got the car back. We were told the reason for the repair taking so long was just that "Technicians didn't get to it" every time call. For a week. We will not be going back to this ford. read more

I scheduled a recall repair on my MKZ. It was scheduled out 3 weeks. On August 31st, I arrived at 10:25 am for a 10:30 appointment. Upon scheduling, I asked how long the appointment might take. They said about one hour. I gave a 3 hour leeway to be safe before a scheduled business appointment. The woman who greeted me was a service advisor who was visibly and verbally upset about something that happened prior to my arrival. My conversation with her made me conclude that their definition of an appointment is drastically different than mine. She told me that she would not have someone available to work on my car until after lunch. I cancelled my "appointment" and I don't think I'll be returning to Heiser anytime soon. I also noticed that there seems to be no responses to Yelp reviews since 2020. I'm thinking that there will be no response now. read more

This review is regarding the purchase of my new (brand new) vehicle and the following care it needed. The process to purchase the car was almost without a hitch. Only issue was they had lost the second FOB that goes to my car. They stated they'd either find it within the next day or order a new one. They found it and I picked it up. No big deal. James and Goran were very helpful throughout the purchase of my vehicle and accommodating to the change in timeline of official purchase I needed to make. I have had two issues related to my vehicle since it's purchase. Again, a brand new car. It is reading as a faulty driver side airbag that needs inspection and my FOB did stop working for about a 10 minute period. Two things I wouldn't expect given the car is brand new. It was easy for me to be immediately upset at this. Especially since they couldn't see me until 2 months down the road to have these issues officially addressed and the car is brand new. Let this review be a reminder to everyone. Just because everything doesn't go perfectly, doesn't mean good customer service wasn't provided. I took a step back and tried to understand that the car is operable and while waiting isn't ideal, I can do so. Fast forward and I got a flat tire due to heavy construction all around me work. Nail in sidewall. Can't patch that. Heiser got me in same day and replaced my tire as a fit in. They understood the FOB issue has a short term solution (there is the spare). And the electrical reading potential issues with the airbag is likely faulty and an easy fix (it's also only rarely present) But I can still drive the car. So those can be addressed in the upcoming appointment I made. When I needed something right away, they took care of me. Covid and all the aftermaths of it affect this business too. They're going to do their best to provide you service. In the end, they're a business. Same as any. Want to make money. As far as I can tell though, they make it honestly. read more

Don't offer what you don't have. They offered a pick up and drop off service. They picked up my car at 9:30 am. They people who came were great. I got an update around noon. Then it was crickets. I called at 3:30 to see when my car would be returned and was told there weren't enough drivers. They would have to pick me up. 40 minutes later, still no sign of being picked up. It took over an hour to get a ride there. No apology whatsoever. I have been a customer there a long time and expect better than that. read more

This has been an issue for several months and still has not been resolved. I've also had difficulties getting appointments scheduled because they're so booked up. The time it took them to repair my truck isn't exactly their fault, it's supply chain stuff. But after having it for 5 months due to a transmission replacement, my wiring harness broke a couple weeks after I got it back. Took them another week to fix, then a month later my cam shaft sensors and variable control valve were broken. So far I've given them over $9,000 and they give me a truck that works for less than a month before breaking so they squeeze more money out of me read more

I went in to have my vehicle's brake system inspected, and while it ended up being a much bigger issue with my car than anticipated, I can say that the maintenance staff, especially Randy, were extremely helpful and pleasant. I used their shuttle service, which always showed up on time, and the driver was personable and professional. I spent time with four dealers while I was looking for this car, and have purchased cars from other dealers in the area in the past few years. With Heiser I requested a quote over the internet for a car that matched the features I wanted, similar to what I've done with other dealers. Jay responded quickly to ask a few more questions about color, and within minutes he had found a couple cars that matched up with what I wanted (without the usual wait for the factory to build it). When I did come in with the family to test drive, Jay was completely low pressure... it honestly felt like checking out cars with a friend. My little boy, who's typically very shy, liked Jay so much that when we got home he wanted to draw a picture for "the Ford guy." Not once did I hear things from Jay like, "What can I do to get you in the car today," and he helped track down additional factory incentives that I qualified for. The only sales-y thing that I got the whole time was mentioning the spray protection for the car, and hearing about the different additional warranties when signing all the documents, which is typical during other car purchases I've made. Not once did I have issues with the sales or finance unfairly trying to screw around with trade in values or any other numbers, which I've had happen at a different dealer just up the road from there. All in all, I'm happy with the car and I thought the purchase went well (as did my wife). If you're looking for a Ford or Lincoln I would recommend going to Heiser. read more

The vehicle inspection is clearly outlined and there is no pressure to add on extra work. The work was completed sooner than promised as well. I got truck from said dealer in march. Do you understand what adding value with service is? Doesn't understand parts they offer, at least service writers. Parts in stock, I verified before making appointment. I bring in a quote from ford.com which they get upset at(real professional), which states what it does and what needs to be programmed at ford for one feature to work. Found tools in truck, which I drove back just to return. When I called back for service they are just like yaaaaa uh just bring it in. Do you want to write down my information? Then I get ask if I made an appointment......... I pretty much had to tell each person how to do a professional service based conversation. I'm an Automation Service Tech. Just had to plug in provided connector, hook a module up and use the ford scanner/programmer to unlock feature and provide settings on dash display. I would say a 15 minute repair. Test repair and return to customer. Sorry for not being a sucker, your favorite customers. Wait I was a sucker too cause I still paid for it. They make you pay first to get the keys. Match made in heaven. My word is worth more then money. Also 10 employees standing in service area with maybe 2 service writers. Must be so bored, they just stand around watching brand new vehicles fighting like vultures for the next sucker. At least they can make sure the wall is still standing. read more

I leased a car from Heiser Ford and I had a great experience. Initially, I worked with someone that wasn't that great, but I'm a little bit more forward and asked the GM for a different sales person. We ended up working directly with the GM to talk about the vehicle I wanted, the features it had, the difference between two vehicles, two vehicle years, financing, rebates, and the vehicle that we wanted. It was seamless. Chris Meyer helped us find rebates from Ford and get everything together. He was transparent and we appreciated that. The car arrived from another dealer within two days, which was super convenient. I had my new car by the weekend and it was cleaned up and ready for me. I finished the deal with two sales people, Patrick and Raymond, that were informative and helpful. As of now I love my 2014 Ford Escape. It has met all of my expectations and the dealer did as well. Everything that was promised was delivered on and I would recommend Heiser to a friend. I hope my service needs are met in the same way that my sales needs were. It was about an hour drive from were we lived. We showed up on our scheduled appt. Beth which was consistant on answering emails back right away. David which actually sold us the car. Very friendly. No hassle in and out. Took care of us. They were friendly to my family. Offered us snacks and drinks. Beth had paper and crayons for my 3 year old and another customers child while they were being assisted. I didn't think they would of allowed my bother in law (age 11) sit in a brand new Mustang GT350 in the show room and one of the salesmen said go ahead! With no hesitation. Satisfied customer. TO BE CLEAR: This review is for BOB GIGL - new car manager at the Heiser Ford Lincoln dealership in Glendale (and after reading a few reviews it seems we aren't the only ones who have an issue with you, sir). The rest of the staff and service members were both sympathetic and very helpful. I'd like everyone to know that BOB GIGL will unapologetically do the absolute MINIMUM for anyone purchasing a used vehicle. All the while treating you as less than and with a smug smile pasted on his face. We were unexpectedly in dire need of a replacement vehicle and scraped together a small down payment and opted to also trade in. We had nearly nothing left over but thought going through a dealership would be safer and we'd end up with a more reliable vehicle. First day, we received the truck and were given the MINIMUM amount of gas (under a quarter tank). I understand it's the state minimum for used vehicles, but it was hard to immediately put $60 in the tank after having just given every extra penny we had to get the damn thing. Second day, we noticed parts of the radio didn't work and it was not disclosed. When asked about a replacement BOB GIGL insisted the dealership would not cover it. Wisconsin is a full disclosure state. After giving us the run-around, he did finally order the radio but said we had to cover the several hundred dollars to have it installed and calibrated. The service technicians at the Chevy dealership were very helpful and although there were issues, managed to replace the radio and charged Heiser Ford for the labor. 1 week out the serpentine belt broke so we replaced it. 2 weeks out the starter went out so we replaced it. (see a pattern here?) Upon changing the starter we noticed the sway bar link ends are broken. The truck came with a small lift kit. Those broken pieces are a SAFETY RISK. We cannot afford to change them at this time. Today the check engine light went on. It was the last straw. We are saving to fix things on a truck we just got but started this whole mess because we could not afford to fix the truck we had. At this point we are approaching $1000 we've had to put into this truck, not including what this new issue may bring. I would advise Heiser Ford to first, take more time going over your used vehicles so you aren't putting your name on vehicles that are safety risks and money pits. Secondly, strongly consider Bob's position at your company. He is named several times in very negative reviews and when we encountered other staff helping us they were immediately sympathetic when they heard Bob was the cause of our problems. It seems he's made a crappy name for himself in more than one way and if I owned a company I wouldn't want him representing me. I caution any buyers looking at Heiser Ford Lincoln for their next used vehicle. Spend some considerable time checking EVERYTHING, don't assume they have your best interest at heart, and FLAT OUT REFUSE TO WORK WITH BOB GIGL. read more

Yesterday I purchased a 2015 Taurus SHO from Pat in Sales. The quality of the inventory on their lot is phenomenal as was the entire process! I have been a Service customer for quite some time and have worked exclusively with Terry. When it came time to trade in my MKZ Hybrid, I came to Heiser to take the Sales Department for a spin. The whole experience was great, my salesperson, Pat, Sales Manager Bob, and Kristina in Finance were all stellar. The process was so easy and they were all so knowledgable and down to earth! The offer for my trade was very fair, the price of the SHO very fair, Bob and Pat even threw in some extras for me and filled the tank! Kristina was amazing too, she is also very knowledgable, friendly, and made the rest of the process so easy. At no moment did I ever feel like they were not interested in my business and I never felt pressured. But, the service department is overwhelmed with a 2 week wait time for service. Heiser had to schedule me a future appointment & send me on my way. I grew impatient & decided to tackle the repair myself. So, I stopped back in for a visit to the parts department for more disappointment. The parts department didn't stock the items I needed. Seems like they have a weak inventory of diesel components. Fortunately, the even smaller Boucher Ford dealership had my items in stock. Plus, Boucher was considerably cheaper in price. read more

I know that it may cost a bit more, and I usually have to leave my vehicle there for a bit (even for an oil change), but I believe that it pays off in the long run. He seemed to want to sell a car that fit me, not what was best for his bank account., I can appreciate that. Everything was clearly explained to me as to what features came with the car. So far I have been extremely pleased with the car. The finance dept. worked to get me a very affordable car payment at a good rate. My only complaint is the time it took to purchase the car, as i felt it was a little long. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Contrary to my experience with people from the mid-west, that they are good people, kind, helpful and honest, the service staff here are dishonest, rude and unhelpful. I bought a car from a private seller, and she had been taking her van here for service. There was a difference of opinion between them and my independent mechanic on what repairs the van needed (new rear brakes) prior to me agreeing to buy it from the seller and driving it across country. The seller insisted she take it back to Heiser for a brake inspection. They said the only thing that needed to be replaced was one bushing. After driving fewer than 3 hours, a Good Samaritan, Kenny, drove up beside us on the freeway to let us know the rear wheels were bouncing rapidly. He escorted us, slowly, to a mechanic and the good people of Sherman took over. They discovered that the belts in both rear tires had broken and that the front wheels had dry rot. Had we continued to drive on these tires, the car would've flipped and we could be 6 feet under right now. We had to buy 4 new tires in Sherman, IL. and get an alignment upon returning home, including new ball joints and casters. It is reprehensible that Heiser did not ensure this van was safe to drive and was clearly "on the side" of the seller. If I lived in the Milwaukee area, I would never go here for any reason! read more
