I have been shopping at Heiskell's off and on for over 11 years. I come here when I'm in town and when I want a more personal shopping experience. I used to bring my dog here so that she could browse the variety of bones and goodies. I have shopped for my rabbit,cat, and dog. I also bought some items for chickens, goats, and sheep that a neighbor had. I appreciate the helpfulness,friendliness, and knowledge of the employees. I do love the extra bit of care they show by carrying heavy items for you to the car. I no longer have any pets, but I do recommend people stopping by to support local. read more

New pet owner here.. I was looking for pet food that is high-quality and this feed store was recommended since they carried a certain brand of feed. I was impressed by the quality and merchandise of the store. This is going to be my primary store for my pet. They have a lot of accessories and care products for pets. Also there is a lot of employees going around the store and asking you if you need any help. This has not happened at Petsmart. This is where I go to get my dog food and it's actually the only store I have been to that carries my dogs kind of food, other than going online. So I'm very appreciative of that. And they allow your animals to go inside and there's tons of treats and different animal foods. It is also where I get my dogs anxiety reducer liquid (she gets anxious in the car) so this liquid I put it in her mouth helps calm her down, so I am very grateful for that. read more

Super friendly staff! As soon as I walked in, a staff member greeted me and asked if I needed any help. He quickly answered all my questions and walked me to the sections I needed. After I checked out, the cashier offered to help me with my items back to the car, which I happily accepted (I had a pretty heavy order). They were awesome and very reasonable with their prices. Quit Petsmart!! Seriously this place is amazing! Certain brands have a free bag of dog food ($55 bag!) after so many bags are purchased. Staff is knowledgeable and you can buy your own vaccines here. Prices are way better than the big pet store chains and they will carry your items to your car! I've asked advice about almost everything, and gotten great answers for my Great Danes food and nutrition needs. Update; still love this store! My whole family shops here now as the service is consistently good. Great selection of everything you need for your dog/cats/any animal. We love this feed store, they are very helpful they always go the extra mile to help our visit go smoothly. There prices are great they have a huge selection and variety. We even got chickens this last fall we are so excited for our first eggs. They also have a walk up clinic every Saturday which is great for people with low income so that there animals can still be up to date on there vaccines without the cost of a vet visit.. read more

These guys are always great. It is our go to spot for all of our Dog's needs. They offer discounts on most items when you sign up. Also, most of their dog food has a reward program (buy X amount and receive 1 bag free) staff if knowledgeable, courteous and friendly... Saturday's they have a low cost vet on site but you will need to check the hours. Very knowledgeable staff! Ask any questions about your pet and they will go above and beyond to find the answer! I rescued an elderly pug and I had no idea what food would be best for his digestion. I must have had a lost look on my face cuz one of the workers came over and helped me. Let me tell you, he knew his products! That's great customer service when you know exact details of product that is being sold at your store! Kudos to the staff because I now recommend your store to all my furball lovers! This store also has a mobile pet Vet that goes every Saturday. They do microchipping and they administer vaccinations for a small fee. I just want to start by saying, I am not the type to write reviews.. but I have NEVER left any type of store/business so happy/pleased/satisfied in my life. I expressed many concerns to Andrew (and a dark haired lady, unfortunately I did not catch her name) and they were so helpful. They took the time to show me all the ingredients on the back of the bags, give me their personal recommendations, and explain to me what types of food are best for my cat, Izu. I had a few things to grab and Andrew walked me back and forth through the store to help me with everything I needed. The wonderful lady gave me samples of a canned cat food (Almo Nature) when I explained to her Izu refused to eat the kind I got her (Beyond was the brand) and Izu just ate it right up! She loved it. She also told me about raw food and gave me a bag to try out as well! I'm still waiting for it to defrost but I have no doubts my cat will love that too. In summary, I am in love with the Feed Depot. The customer service I had here was astonishing. They made sure I left with everything I needed. They were patient with me as I did spend some time in the store and I was not brushed off and left alone like some stores will do to you. I will admit the cat section is a little small, but don't let that turn you off because the brands here are the best. The foods here (brands that arent carried in Petsmart/Petco) have all the right ingredients in them and none of the stuff that is bad for your cat.
