We have two 6-year-old, untrained working dogs and decided to send them to Off Leash K9 Training in Fresno, CA. Elias, their trainer, was nothing short of amazing!!! His experience and genuine care for the dogs shone through in every video, photo, and daily report we received. He was very thorough and made sure we felt confident with the training before sending us home. The difference in our dogs was absolutely incredible--they went from stubborn and untrained to very well-behaved. Thanks to Elias and the training we received, we can now take our dogs out in public with ease. They're responsive to the learned commands and well-behaved, making outings enjoyable for everyone. Whether it's a walk in the park or a visit to a friend's house, we no longer have to worry about their behavior. It's such a relief to see them listen to commands, and interact calmly and respectfully with other dogs and people. The transformation has been truly remarkable, and we're so grateful for the newfound freedom this has brought us. Elias's skills are unmatched, and we highly recommend Off Leash K9 Training, especially if Elias is available. Thank you, Elias, for your dedication and support, we are so excited to continue applying what we've learned!!!!!

    Leo is a good boy.

I took my 3 year old Doberman to board and train for two weeks. The main reason was his uncontrollable reactivity with other dogs. He couldn't leave the house without a muzzle. Justin was his trainer and did an amazing job. After two weeks I can take my 95 lb dog with confidence that he won't take me down trying to get to another dog. He stays right by my side. I even took him to Lazy Dog and he did amazing with other dogs on the patio. My stress when taking him out is gone. I highly recommend Justin and Off Leash Fresno.

We adopted our 3 year old Great Pyrenees/ Anatolian Shepherd mix a few months ago. Our experience with Off Leash K9 in Fresno CA was fantastic. Our stubborn girl came back to us well mannered and enjoys following the 5 simple commands. She is a joy to take with us anywhere we go now. The trainers did great job! Our sincere praise and appreciation to all who worked with Ivory. Thank you !

I can't thank the awesome team enough for the incredible work they did with my dog in just two weeks! They turned my puppy into a well-behaved superstar What impressed me the most was how informative the trainers were. Each day i was receiving a report card with a detailed message , pictures and a video from the training session of my baby which made the process much more easier for me as i was eagerly waiting for the end of each day to see all the progress that he's made and they made sure I understood what was happening every step of the way! I have to give a shoutout to Dom for being super responsive and attentive. Whenever I had a question or concern, he was very fast to respond and made me feel at ease! Also, thanks to him my dog is not only a pro at obedience commands but has also become a social butterfly. In just two weeks, he's transformed into a well-mannered companion that I'm proud to have by my side. The dedication and hard work truly paid off! I highly recommend them to anyone in need of top-notch dog training. Their commitment, expertise, and ability to bring out the best in dogs are simply remarkable. No matter how naughty or stubborn your furry friend may be! To the entire team at Off Leash K9 Fresno massive thank you! Keep up the fantastic work!

We have had our 6 month old St. Berdoodle, Pepper, back from training now for roughly two weeks. She spent one week at Off Leash K9 Training with Sabrina at the beginning of the month. Sabrina was great at providing updates throughout the week. She talked us through the process and gave indications of what we could expect. Pepper went to the training about as young as they will accept for a puppy. So, we understood that some of her quirks were just her being a young puppy. Since returning home, Pepper no longer chews on the leash every time we walk. She "heels" very well. She's the only dog I've ever had now that doesn't pull during walks. Pepper will recall with "come" 90% of the time, even when she's really into whatever she's doing. She knows "place", "sit", and "down" very well. We continue to work her and may do a second week of training here when she is closer to one years old just to reenforce what she's already gotten. Thank you to Sabrina and all at K9 Off Leash. We are very impressed and happy we chose this place for Pepper's training.

I have two very playful, sweet but stubborn dogs. I enrolled Balty and Charlie in the 2 week Board and Train program. They assign your dogs a trainer. I requested the same trainer for my dogs because even if I wanted to have them trained individually. I wanted them to be trained together. Balty my bernedoodle is 30lbs. much bigger than Charlie my 10lb. cockapoo. It has been my dream to be able to walk them together. It's utter chaos when I would try to since Balty would keep pulling and Charlie would get dragged into whichever direction that was! Thank you to their amazing trainer Dom, I am now able to do so! I get to walk them side by side with no issues. I gave Dom the major issues I wanted to him to focus on. He sent training reports for each dog every night, their progress, what commands he worked on with them. He would text and call to answer any concerns I had, and man did I have a lot of questions. I was so proud to see my boys doing so well in the videos they sent everyday. When Balty had allergies Dom let me know right away, and asked permission if he could give him Benadryl. He always kept me informed if the dogs didn't eat well or whatever. There was a turnover to teach me the commands and what to do before the HANDOVER. This program is also about consistency for the parents to continue the work that the trainer has done with your dogs. I was able to walk Charlie at Walgreens off leash and I was so excited. My dogs are more behaved but I still need to practice a few things but overall Dom was a Rockstar and the rest of the folks at Off Leash K9 Fresno were truly awesome!

In August, my family adopted a very rowdy boy! His name is Blue. He came into our family with ZERO training and even less manners! Blue is your typical "bull in a China shop" boy and he's always coming in hot. This is a problem due to his size and strength. We absolutely needed help. I signed up for the 1 week Board and Train program. The enrollment was very easy and the instructions were clear. I knew what to expect from the beginning. Sebrina, a trainer, reached out to me a few days before Blue took off for "camp" to get an idea of what my major concerns were. She introduced herself and told me what to expect at drop off. Dropping Blue off was a breeze. Sebrina met me by my car and took him. Sebrina was very communicative with me during Blue's stay. I received DAILY photos, videos and report cards. This made me feel included in Blue's adventures. It also gave me insight to what I was going to be learning when Blue came home. I showed up to pick up Blue. Sebrina met me out by my car and walked me to a "demo room". She explained to me in thorough detail what Blue learned, how to operate the new E-collar (she even went over warranty information). I felt prepared to take ownership of the remote. Sebrina worked with me giving Blue his new commands. She made sure we were both comfortable the entire process. I got home and my husband and I ate lunch. We were able to eat peacefully while Blue stayed in place on his bed. He forgot we were eating and fell asleep. I can't thank Offleash K9 Training Fresno, Sebrina and the amazing staff enough! I picked up a very well mannered, disciplined and HAPPY boy. I can tell my guy Blue got all the love while he was there. I'm excited to see how far Blue can go with more training in the future. I 100% will always count on Sebrina for my training needs with Blue. Tonight my house is peaceful...thank you all! -The Jones Family and Blue P.S. all of these photos were sent to me by the training team plus many more!

I can not say enough good things about Off Leash K9 Training! I am blown away by my Boston Terriers progress after completing the two week Board & Train. He went from extremely hyper, chewing everything, knocking over my younger kids, to an absolute dream dog. He is so well behaved, listens to commands and has exceeded every expectation. A huge thanks to his trainer Courteney who made this all possible. Her level of excellence and professionalism is unmatched. I received nightly reports on Paulie with pictures and videos. She also made it so simple for me to learn all of his commands so that I can implement it at home. 10 out of 10 recommendation

Our 11 month old pup just completed the 2 week board & train. We were so impressed with him! Stuart did a wonderful job of training our dog and communicating with us every step of the way. We received a report card every evening with a video and photos of his training from that day, and other details like how much he ate, weighed, etc. Our little guy had an ear infection right before training started but the team took care of it and gave him his medication every day! After having a bad experience with a previous training program from a different company, we are so glad we found Off Leash! Would recommend this to anyone who is looking for obedience training for their dog.

We are grateful to have sent our Koda to Off Leash K9 Training! Darnae was Koda's main trainer. Darnae is thorough, patient, kind, and very knowledgeable! I do recommend Off Leash K9 Training for anyone in need of training their pup.

I wanted to update my review as it's been about 9 months since signing up Augie for the 2 week board and train. As I mentioned in my previous review Augie was great when he first got back home. I practiced with Augie regularly on his heal and recall using the collar with the goal to eventually stop using the collar all together. Unfortunately Augie will only listen to the commands if he has the collar on. Had I known that this training only works long term if you use the collar, I would have never signed him up. The only reason Augie listens with the collar on is because he is afraid of being shocked. I have given three stars because he somewhat listens to my commands without the collar which is slightly better compared to how he was before taking him.

My dog with his trainer Christian

Christian was great with our Belgian Mallinois "Scout , after the 2 week board and training he taught us many things and answered all our questions. Our dog is doing great with the heel command which we didn't know how to do, and we are very comfortable using the e-collar for training. After the program our dog was so socialized that we also saw an improvement in his tolerance to other people around the house. I really recommend Off leash, the facilities are very clean and you can tell the staff loves dogs, our dog was very happy around his trainer and we are at peace knowing we have their support and guidance while we continue to train him!

    Gabby R.

I signed up my dog for Board and Train and it was the best decision I made for both of us. Bella's trainer, Lily, taught us a lot of new tools and helped with Bella's manners. Prior to training Bella was out of control and jumped on everyone. Now Bella had more self control and confidence. We can go on fun adventures without her acting a fool.

The only part he couldn't complete was staying alone for 3 minutes with the evaluator--which, from my understanding, can be waived since he's my service dog. Then she claimed he failed three portions, which was simply not true. I was so upset I asked her to redo the test. She ran through everything on camera again, and he did great. Then she brought out another dog and started clicking while bringing it over--something no trainer should do. My dog gave a subtle growl but stayed in place. She jumped on that, said he failed, refused to continue the evaluation, and tried to push me into training with her. What a crook. If you use her, I promise issues will come up eventually. I paid $75 for that evaluation, and my dog passed the test with flying colors. WHAT A CROOK! FKIN SCAMMER. I thought I replied to her comment, but I sent her a message directly, so I am sharing with you what I said to her. When Brent found Tala, she was in a heartbreaking situation--essentially feral and abandoned by the side of a highway, just days away from being euthanized. Thanks to Brent's dedication and expertise, she not only got a second chance at life, but she became the most well-behaved and gentle dog we've ever met. Tala is a Husky-Samoyed mix, and from the moment we brought her home, it was clear she had been given an amazing foundation. She walks like a dream--both on and off leash--has zero reactivity, and greets every person and animal she encounters with calm friendliness. She's completely potty and crate trained, follows commands effortlessly, and doesn't jump or vocalize unnecessarily. She's also wonderfully affectionate and incredibly food motivated, which makes bonding with her a joy. What amazes us most is how Brent managed to shape her behavior so thoughtfully without dulling her spirit. Tala still has all the bright, clever, loving traits that make her such a unique and special companion. She's seamlessly become part of our family, and we truly can't imagine life without her. Brent is nothing short of a miracle worker, and we wholeheartedly recommend Ace Dog Training to anyone looking to adopt or train a dog with kindness, skill, and heart. We recently enrolled our dog in the Ruff Edges Program and I want to share our experience for other…read moredog owners who may be considering this program. For dogs dealing with fear and anxiety, they use extremely intense correction methods. We were initially open to these tools, but things went downhill very quickly. Day one involved towel rolls being thrown at our dog, loud air-canister interruptions, and immediate use of a prong collar. Rather than working at our dog's pace, trainer Mel dragged him along on the prong collar until he submitted. This is not an exaggeration, he was physically dragged while thrashing and panicking. It was shocking and honestly heartbreaking to witness. Right after this forced submission, she handed him to my fiancé, and shortly after our dog jumped up and bit him on the arm. For context: he is five years old and has never bitten anyone in his life. It was devastating. Dogs give plenty of warning signs before a bite (growling, lip raises, body posture) but all of those signals were suppressed as he was forced into submission. In his mind, the only option left was to bite to escape the fear. After the bite we were told, "Oh yeah, that can happen sometimes," and that if it happens again we should "hang him by the prong collar until he sees Jesus." Honestly, we should have walked out immediately, but we trusted the 'professional' and assumed this program was designed for dogs like ours, so it must work. The bite happened again at the next session, totaling three bites under Mel's supervision. We never "hung" our dog by the prong because that is abuse, plain and simple. Meanwhile, his anxiety skyrocketed. He began howling, shaking, and crying at any attempt to get in the car. He even bolted out the front door to avoid going, behaviors we had never seen before this program. By week three, our dog was losing trust in us. He stopped cuddling (which is completely unlike him), avoided closeness, and generally shut down. Heartbreaking, to say the least. After experiencing this firsthand, I truly believe these methods do nothing but force a dog into submission (when they "work") and when they don't, they create dangerous behavioral fallout. The techniques used here are unnecessarily harsh, rooted in impatience, and a blatant lack of respect for the animal. They claim the program is tailored to your dog, but when the methods failed, the only advice was to correct harder: hang him, use an e-collar, throw the towel harder. No alternatives, no adjustments, no real understanding of his behavior. That is not tailoring, that is pushing until the dog breaks. In researching modern training science, I've learned there is simply no justification for these outdated methods. They ignore what we now know about canine behavior and emotional wellbeing. These techniques appeal to owners who want fast control, not true behavior change. I love my dog. After this experience, I'm choosing the slow road, the one that builds trust, not fear. I don't want a dog who obeys because his spirit is broken. I want a companion. If you're considering the Ruff Edges Program, please understand the risks and research these methods thoroughly. I wish we had, and I regret staying as long as we did. "The dominance remedy is so out of proportion that entire schools of training are based on the premise that if you can just exert adequate dominance over the dog, everything else will fall into place. Not only does it mean that incredible amounts of abuse are going to be perpetrated against any given dog, probably exacerbating problems like unreliable recalls and biting, but the real issues, like well-executed conditioning and the provision of an adequate environment, are going to go unaddressed, resulting in a still-untrained dog, perpetuating the pointless dominance program." -- Excerpt from The Culture Clash by Jean Donaldson.

very disorganized.. Wrote me back and forth telling me that I had to pay more than a thousand…read moredollars before letting me know fully about the board and training that I was interested in. Sent a response to me which started with "Hey David" when my name isn't David and then saying that she didn't want to train my Border Collie and cut off communication.
