I have known Artworks for around 40 years. I had worked for another West Coast Art Foundry, as I…read morewas an up oncoming bronze artist. I then had my own sculpture cast there, until that foundry closed for good. Fortunately, I moved and now live across the Bay, from Berkeley. Surprisingly, Artworks Foundry ended up close by. So, for around five years now, Artworks has been doing my castings. My last visit was a breath of fresh air. After meeting Kambiz ARTWORKS FOUNDRY Chief Executive Officer. My experience with Artworks has been elevated, just that much more. What a beautiful experience. I look forward to continuing my work with Artworks on several larger commissions, in the near future! I highly recommend them, as one of the premier Art Foundries, on the continent if not world... Thank you Artworks! Kind regards Kirk Kirk McGuire Bronze Sculpture

All the great reviews of this foundry are from the past. I…read moreused to have access a foundry and cast in bronze myself. So, I know how it supposed to be. About that time last year, I took two smaller (not monumental, about 10 inches high) works in wax to cast in bronze and patina. One was cast fine, the other one had lots of defects. Patina work for was a huge frustration hence the patineur person was new and had very vague idea of how patina effects bronze work and how to achieve anything. At he end, I gave up, took my works home, and still am very disappointed whenever I look at them. I also I noticed that for their monumental works they bring professionals to work on them. I will never take my work to this foundry again. Just couldn't imagine that it can be so bad!

I found Giorgio when I opened a yelp project ticket, hoping that I would find someone out there who…read morecould help me restore a simple garden bench that is very special to me. The bench was purchased by my mother, probably around 40 years ago, and was in her huge backyard and garden. She had 5 benches, and 5 kids, and this one was mine after she passed in 2011. Over the years I have had it refinished, but time took a toll on the structure of it. Replacing it with a new bench did not seem satisfying- how could I discard this precious (to me) piece of history that contained so many memories of my mother and her beautiful yard? Giorgio came out and took a look, (remember he is a fine antique restorer) and he said he would like to take on the project. The price was more than I thought it would be, (way more than a new bench), but he explained that he would have to replace all of the wood, all of the hardware and restabilize the bench. It would take approximately 1 month, taking it to his studio. I agreed. He took the bench away in pieces. The old bench was oak, and he we went over options for replacement and settled on heat treated ash, an enduring high-quality choice that would have a similar look to the original oak. Giorgio delivered the bench back to my San Francisco yard. I was so happy! The quality craftsmanship of Giorgio Di Costanzo filled that bench with the magic of my mother's memory to be enjoyed for years to come.
