We first noticed the large Hello 2 India sign while driving along Elden Street and decided to check out the newly opened store in March 2025. Since then, we have returned many times, especially for the food, particularly the dosas. Yesterday, we brought guests from Buffalo, NY, who enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere and, especially, their conversation with the owner, Vicky (Venkat Reddy). His friendly and engaging presence has always added to the pleasure of our visits. Located in the newly developed Arrowbrook Center at 2320 Silver Arrow Way, Herndon, Hello 2 India is a spacious, well-organized desi grocery store offering a wide variety of Indian groceries at competitive prices. The selection includes fresh produce, spices, chutneys, pickles, dried goods, sweets, bakery items, and fresh-cut halal meat. The staff is generally courteous and helpful. There is ample parking, although finding a spot can occasionally require a little searching. The food court and ready-to-eat section are among the store's major attractions, particularly for those who enjoy South Indian cuisine. We have tried several varieties of dosa, along with idli, uttapam, poha, pongal, pani puri, dahi puri, samosa chaat, snacks, and biryani. Their South Indian masala coffee is another favorite of ours. We stopped by Hello 2 India while we were in the area, and it was just like any other grocery/marts - We were curious about their popular samosas, but they only had 1 version and they looked a bit dried out; there also wasn't much of a selection in their buffets. Due to this space being newer, things seemed to be well-stocked and organized. I stopped in to see what sort of food and ingredients/groceries they sold. They have a nice selection of fresh produce, large selection of spices, spice packs, chutneys/pickles, and dried goods. They didn't have much of a selection of breads though, it would have been nice if they sold fresh-made naan. They did have a hot food (buffet type) section, which they were setting up for the day, so maybe they would offer fresh breads there too, but they didn't have any yet. I had placed a phone pickup order for Veg Manchuria -- this was our second time ordering the same item over the phone. Although we reached the store about 20 minutes after placing the order, we still had to wait another 20 minutes. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with both the quantity and quality of the food. My younger sister found this spot from Instagram where they were showcasing an Indian street food station. All my family was in town so we decided to go for it. It's located in a newer development in the Reston, VA area. Surprisingly it's in an Indian grocery store so I thought we had the wrong place. However, at the very far end of the store is a grab and go style kitchen. There was so much variety but this was not what we expected. As we looked around different staff and even the owner approached us. All were very nice and welcoming, they even let us sample the grab and go food. We told them we had come for the Indian street food station. Unfortunately we were too early and they only do that at 4pm on the weekends. We were about to leave but the samplings of the food was so tasty and the owner was so great that we stayed and ordered a plethora of food. I love this place and I'm coming back. read more

I'll be honest, I was at first skeptical about having such a large grocery store with such a large kitchen space and so many varieties. To my surprise, they have done really really well! It's very close to my house so super convenient for grocery and their food selection is excellent. My favorite is their chicken puff and tea for snacks, something I could literally eat everyday, so tasty! I've also done my fair share of announcements among my friends to make sure they try the chicken puff as well. Their chicken and vegetarian dishes are pretty good too. And all the people that work there and extremely nice and helpful and courteous which isn't the case for many Indian places in the area. This is definitely my favorite Indian spot in the area. And I highly recommend trying their snacks and food and tea. read more

Location is very convenient. Tried paneer pakora and it didn't have any taste, veg puff was ok, no chutneys with it, and a bit expensive, but has good collection for all necessary Indian grocery products. read more

So I've been using Hello2India for lunch since they opened, and had previously found the food acceptable. But I had a really negative experience today, having to wait over 30 minutes for a simple dosa to go, while dozens of other patrons came and went with their food. Then when I got it home it wasn't even what I'd ordered - was burnt and flavorless, and has left a bad taste in my mouth. They seemed disorganized, with staff running every which way not sure of what they were doing. This might be last time I go there. read more

Store is new and freshly stocked with lots of south asian foods and specialties. Fully stocked grocery market. Buffet inside store, 2 kinds of spicy chicken, and 2 soups, freshly made pack of Indian tortillas called chapati. They also had samosas and different kinds of veggies, curries, and rice.
