I had a fairly good experience at Lakshmi Chowk. We ordered the Chicken Karahi (with Bone), Chicken Biryani, Naan & BBQ (Chicken Seekh & Chicken Tikka (boneless). I believe the karahi and BBQ was the best. Also the mint lemonade was really good. I would try more BBQ items.

I love Pakistani food (which is NOT the same as Indian (tho similar), nor the same as all the "kabob" joints you see in every plaza, those are mostly Iranian, Persian, Afghan, etc... definitely NOTHING WITH FLAVOR!!)... The depth of flavors, richness of ht ePakistani menu and way they prepare dishes is just different and much better than anything else in tne Middle East. I great up going to Pakistan often and have eaten amazing dishes made by amazing cooks, so I'm I've got a great base to compare what I eat in the US to. Allll that being said - This place is pretty good! I only tried two things; shami kabob and samosa chaat. I was incredibly happy to see a menu with shami kabob on it, as this is NOT normally on menus in the US. It's part of one of my favorite Pakistani "street foods" which they literally sell at street vendors and put on bread and call a burger. It's chick pea flour and a minced meat, in this case it was chicken. It typically has loads of amazing spices and great heat too. In this case, it was on the not-so-spicy side, but was still good. Their samosa chaat was decent... I've had better, but the choley (or channa) in it was really good. I did notice the food being delivered to other diners in the restaurant and it looked and smelled great. If I came back, I'd definitely try their curry, perhaps Karahi and definitely their naan, as the naan looked perfectly light, yet smelled amazing. Service was just "ok" though... there was only one person working the dining room and they were really busy. I will definitely say, if you're in the mood for a great curry, kabob, Middle Eastern, etc experience - Try this place.

I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for vegetarians as there are minimal/basic options. For meat eaters there are lot of varieties and they will enjoy both the taste and quantity. For my basic vegetarian meal nothing great in taste or flavour-very ordinary. Dessert falooda was good. Service is good and Prices are budget friendly.

I went their with 3 of other people and I disappointed on their food quality and taste. We order few items in the menu and patiently wait for our food, they presented food very well but when I taste the quality .... Food was prepared in great hurry and chef didn't even care about quality of taste and mixing spices with meat and vegetables! Taste like everything mixed together and put that on fire and wait for certain time and took off from fire ! I ask for the manger and luckily the owner was on the floor and he defend his food and quality with the same unethical explanations ! That make me LOL Salt was bit higher quantity in every dish ! Well I gave 1 star just because of presentation I still have the same question ? What was he or she thinking when that person marking the butter chicken recipe???? I just want to know that thought !

Not really sure if others have been reviewing the correct place, but I just can't believe that all the high ratings are for Lakshmi. We ordered: +the Veggie Samosas - comes with 2 pieces with a spicy creamy cilantro-jalapeno yogurt-based sauce and a sweet tamarind-like sauce (the sauces were actually good); the samosas were not freshly fried, and these were served at room temperature, borderline cold; didn't really make any sense, as the time it took for these to come out, they could have just dropped it in the fryer? +Butter Chicken - this had absolutely no flavor and was super bland; the texture was kind of gross, like a dish of haleem gone wrong - it was really one of the worst butter chicken dishes we've had; it was also extremely oily; there was also that uncomfortableness of having the server's phalanges in the sauce that made us not want to eat it even more +Bone-In Chicken Karahi - this had an extreme off-putting odor to it; I realized that it was most likely due to the fact that they did not wash the iron bowl completely from prior preparations - prior in serving our chicken version, it definitely had goat or a goat-focused dish, as you can see the burnt bits on the side that had a very gamey, rancid, awful smell to it We were never checked in throughout our dining experience. There are also several things of note that can be considered obnoxious: +they automatically provide the table with bottled water, without giving you a choice of going for tap; and, yes, the bottled water is NOT complimentary and they will charge you; pretty shady, don't you think?! If you don't mind tap, be specific in requesting this +they automatically include a 15% gratuity on the check, regardless of your party size; it may be higher if you have a larger group, but with the non-existent service, I can see why this is included in all the checks; this place really seems to try to get away with such practices while nickel-and-dime-ing you with every chance that they can get +the staff does not know or is not conscientious of how to handle and serve the ordered items - ours had his right thumb, taking a nice dip, in the butter chicken entree, and, of course, no gloves were being worn Also, the prices were just over-the-top, with no quality control and flavors to back it up. The place itself was brightly decorated, with lit-up picture frames and blinking chandeliers. No dice, Lakshmi - I would love to say that I was glad in trying your place out, but your place was truly awful and so gross. Really. Plenty of parking in the corporate shared plaza lot. +room temperature samosas +flavorless and super oily Butter Chicken +off-putting Karahi +unclean iron bowls +nickel-and-diming in regards to bottled water +automatically including of gratuity +thumbs/phalanges in dishes when being served +non-existent service +parking in shared corporate plaza lot

Very nice eatery, with an oddly placed swing at the front door that somehow works. I highly recommend their biriyani. It's warming, and the spices are a great addition to the meal. The dudh rooh afza is a refreshing beverage perfect for a hot summer day. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of service and the speed with which it was provided, especially given that it was a deshi establishment. Definitely gave off a both contemporary and Desi vibe. I guess they just couldn't make up their minds on which setup to go with. But hey, it works!

Very interesting concept as this place seems to be more of a dessert shop, I am curious on how good the viet food is.. maybe one day! I ordered the valentine bingsu which consist of a bunch of fruit and vanilla ice cream. The bingsu was advertised with "milky ice flavor" which I did not taste the "milky" part. The shredded ice was a great consistency, though! Easy to scoop up, melts fast, & not ice-y which to me is crucial to a decent bingsu. The strawberries paired were great and very sweet, the peach felt like it was from a can, pineapple gave off canned vibes, except it was extremely bitter and basically gone bad. Mangoes were OK not very sweet and Vanilla ice cream was good but you can't go wrong with that if it's store-bought. Overall would give this a 5/10 maybe 4.5/10. You order on the kiosk or at the counter. I opted for the kiosk as the employees were busy, I did however asked at the counter to Change my order after once I realized they had the valentine bingsu since I was feeling more fruit desserts (originally ordered the strawberry & cream). They were accommodating which I appreciated! Service was nice for the most part - the guy that served me my order did not acknowledge me when I said thank you... or when we took him the dish after the food and said thanks again lol service can be spotty based on who you get I guess? Again Curious on the viet food here!

They also had an osmanthus flower drink and a signature drink with grapes that was very tasty as well. The hands on part was my favorite. They walked us through how to properly whisk our own matcha and let us practice the technique ourselves. On top of that, we got to sample a variety of their teas throughout the class. The owner clearly knows their craft. Their in-store matcha has actually won awards, and you can taste the quality difference. The space itself is beautifully curated too, with a whole shelf of adorable teaware and gifts to buy afterward. Such a fun, educational experience for a group. Highly recommend if you want to actually learn about matcha rather than just drink it!!!

Matcha Lab Experience…read more After having been to Seven TeaHouse several times, we wanted to try one of their tasting experiences - the Matcha Lab! Our host, Cody, was incredible and super knowledgeable about all things tea. He guided us through everything from the origins of matcha to how to make it ourselves at home. It was especially helpful to watch him make the drinks and see the proper technique for whisking matcha and what temperature water we should be using when making our own, etc. For the tasting itself, he made us 4 different matcha drinks - all of which were soo good!! It changed my perception on what good matcha drinks can taste like and I think has increased my standards (for better or for worse lol). If you love matcha, interested in learning more about it and want to try some different matcha drinks not offered anywhere else, I highly highly recommend the Matcha Lab.

The ambiance inside is beautiful, ideal for anyone looking for a good Instagram picture. There's so many angles and details so that no matter where you're sitting, there's a good vibe. There's also gorgeous seating outside since it can get crowded. For food, you order from the front and they'll call you when the food is ready. We ordered the dubai gelato and pistachio lokmas. Both were presented tastefully to make sure our eyes and cameras wanted to eat before our stomachs. The dubai gelato was a quality dessert with a good ratio of milk: cream. The pistachio flavor was evident on top, but it was just a kinda tart vanilla ice cream with toppings. I did like it, however, and it paired well with the lokmas. The lokmas were fried to perfection, a nice amount of chewy, and covered with a good ratio of pistachio cream. They were a decent size and conducive to sharing. The prices of everything, overall, was pretty expensive, but the quality definitely made up for it. I'd recommend this cafe to someone looking for a unique sweet treat, catching up with a group of girl friends of 2-4 people, or for a first date!
