Don't let her down-to-earth manner fool you; Lorraine is a total professional, a true artist, and a perfectionist when it comes to making her clients look good. (Bring photos of looks you like to your trial; like so many artists, she is very visual and photos clue her in to what look you are trying to achieve. ) She can do anything--from dramatic and bold to girl-next-door natural, and every look in between; and she will be honest about what she thinks will and will not look best on you. I can't quite find the words to rave about how lovely she made me, my ladies, and my mom look on the big day. We still looked like ourselves--but gorgeous. I was especially impressed with what she and her team achieved with my mom. It's hard enough to work with twenty-somethings with good skin; imagine what goes into achieving beautiful results on someone in her sixties who hasn't exactly had time to pamper herself while raising three kids on her own, and also hasn't worn makeup in over twenty years. My mom looked HOT--but as if she wasn't wearing makeup. Now, that is something awesome. :) We all got so many compliments, and my makeup lasted through a long, warm day and lots of sweating on the dance floor. Lorraine was also calm and centered in the midst of our wedding chaos. This included humoring my six-year old ring bearer, who had to chill with us ladies while we got pretty; and dealing with an obnoxious front desk person at the establishment where we were staying and getting ready. Her prices are extremely reasonable. So if you are getting wedding-ed in the NJ/Philadelphia area, I cannot recommend Simply Beautiful Makeup and Lorraine highly enough!

I had a couple trials done before but was very unhappy with the work the other salons did on me....I was paying these saloons high prices for something I could have done at home myself. The way my trial went with Lo was great, she LISTEN to what I wanted and asked for pictures of the look I am going for. She was into every detail, she is a true makeup artist. I originally wanted make up for just me, not expecting my girls to pay for theirs to be done....but once my girls saw the way my trial went with Lo they wanted theirs done too! So once again Lo was accommodating again and at last minute okayed some of my girls to get their makeup done the day of the wedding with me. She came to my house on the wedding day as well. She brings her husband to take photos of before during and after (he is also a professional photographer!) And this gives u an idea of what your going to look like on camera for your photos too! My preview session with Jackie and Katie was held at the Cherry Hill location, which was convenient since it had a parking lot. I found the preview session (which I was initially hesitant about doing) very helpful since I was able to test out the hairstyle I was considering as well as my makeup and lashes. It was a good trial run where I was able to give my input and request any changes etc and, at the end of the session, I was extremely happy with how my hair and makeup turned out. This helped put my mind at ease for how things would go on my wedding day. On the day of my wedding, Katie and Jackie arrived on time, were very professional, and did an amazing job getting hair and makeup done for everyone, including a couple of extra people for makeup. Jackie did my hair exactly as she had done during the preview session, which was a replication of a photo I had shown her. She even placed my tikka on perfectly. Katie also did an excellent job on my makeup, and it looked exactly the way we had practiced during the preview session. I got so many compliments throughout the day on how beautiful I looked and how stunning my hair and makeup were. I felt absolutely amazing on my wedding day thanks to this team. When I first met her, I went to her salon because the last person who colored my hair over processed it and it was so dead. She helped salvage my hair for the wedding with a specific treatment schedule and boy am I grateful. The day of the wedding, I loved my whole look. Gabby crushed my makeup and I got compliments all night about it and how natural it looked. Mack is honest and does offer feedback to people, and I appreciate this about her. She broke our contract and went silent the night before our large Indian family wedding on August 30th., in King of Prussia, PA. I texted her the night before with my hotel room number, and she never replied. Trusting she'd be professional, I waited until 5:00 AM the next morning (I had to be ready at 7 AM) -- she never showed. I sent five texts and made multiple calls on August 30 and again on September 2, with no response. She finally replied on September 11 with an unprofessional excuse, claiming her assistant didn't save the date, even though she had personally confirmed our appointment on June 13 and accepted two Venmo payments. Anyone who claims to be "highly professional" should also provide accurate invoices and contracts, yet I had to ask her twice to fix errors in both before the event. I had to request my own refund, which shows poor professionalism and bad faith. Do not risk your event -- book someone reliable.

Then the police had to come and a guest ended up paying. Embarrassing and unprofessional. Everyone should know she's a total fraud and gets verbal diarrhea if she doesn't get her way. I can't count how many times I've been pressured into wearing foundation when I.Don't.Wear.Foundation. It makes me look completely crazy, and I hate it. Veronica was the FIRST mua that didn't pressure me into it... In fact, she actually agreed with me that I look better without it. THANK YOU!! I'm not crazy!! I first heard about her through Anju (of AnjuThreads), who was hosting Veronica at her threading salon as one of her summer pop-up events. I was celebrating my birthday the week before the event, but figured that if Anju liked her, I would to. AND I LIKE HER! She came to my apartment and got me ready for my birthday with a gorgeous purple smoky eye. I was a complete mess that day because a billion things were going on, including the venue for my party changing 3 times in a day, and the built-in shelves I installed over my bed fell ON TO MY BED while I was at work (and thank god, not in bed), but Veronica was completely calming. I'm not really a makeup wearing girl. During my trial, I had trouble getting used to the lipsticks Veronica tried and the amount of eye makeup- I seriously have issues with makeup!
