Hello Shawarma is a fantastic quick service restaurant! We kicked off 2026 with Hello Shawarma as our first dinner for the year. The Lombard location is quite spacious and clean. It's very bright and set in a strip mall, so there is plenty of parking. We ordered sandwiches rather than plates. The sandwiches do not have too many items to overbear your palette, so the extra pickles/salads/etc are optional. The shawarma seasonings are phenomenal! The flavor isn't overpowering and is perfect! I also love getting their pickles! You can order a small or large and fill your container with a large selection of fantastic Levant style pickled veggies! It's one of my favorite features of Hello Shawarma. Ordering can be done online if you pick up. The service was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the food my mouth dance with delight. With so many shawarma spots in the area, it's hard to pick the best, they truly are pretty good, but I will say that Hello Shawarma has the advantage because of the beshka sandwich. It's like the Arab version of a Philly sandwich. I'm not Jordanian/Palestinian so this sandwich is a totally new concept for me and we are in love with it. I also love their pickle station. Those peppers and the cauliflowers are my favorite pickles and to have access to all that is a dream. Sometimes I just stop by for the pickles. Then of course, the bowls are delicious as well. Seating is always ample and service is always great. Overall, it's a must stop on your shawarma journey. Oh yeah, don't forget to try the lentil soup! read more

Food is good but I didn't eat it after see the guys working in the back and making my food without gloves that's nasty

Today I was disappointed in my experience. I have been here previous times, but today felt different. First, they did not use the machine to slice the Shawarma off of the roller. They were using their hand to cut, and all of the chicken pieces were uneven, some too thick, some too thin. Next, I want to order from the self kiosk. I got the salad bowl as I always do with my toppings and added fries on the side, ensuring to tell the worker who was a woman that please put the side fries on the side because I do not like the salad bowl to be soggy once mixed in Again, I have been here numerous times and have done the same process with no issue. I insured with the woman at the front register three times. She proceeded to give me the food, and I opened the container to see all of the fries mixed in, which is not what I wanted. She then proceeded to tell me that we do not do fries on the side and if you would like you can order the fries separate. I believe she was insinuating that I was looking to get more fries and that is why I was trying to do it on the side, but that was not the case. My only reason to put them on the side was so that they stay crispy and not soggy mixed in with the rest of the food, which is wet. I asked her to put fries seasoning and she did not proceed to put only a sprinkle and at that point, I just wanted to get my food and leave. Upon tasting the fries, they were cold, and the food was not seasoned well. I must say that this has been one of the worst experiences I've had and this is not anywhere near what the original location in Bridgeview is like. in Bridgeview, there is way more flavor, they are much more accommodating, and the food is more fresh and hot. If I could give any recommendation to this location, please become more organized and a few fries going to waste to just make fresh ones if they have been sitting for a while is worth the little money to toss a few fries. read more

I love Hello Shawarma. Unfortunately I don't go that often because Bridgeview is a bit of a drive, but thanks to the Lombard location it's now more accessible. This new Hello Shawarma is located in a nice, large plaza with plenty of parking. What's more, there are other food options in this plaza and nearby, such as Seoul Bites, Cocomelt, Holy Buckets, and Chi Tea. This location is larger than the one is Bridgeview, which is great. You order at the counter and get a number to take to your table. If you order takeout, they will call your name when it's ready. We ordered a chicken shawarma meal (sandwich + fries + drink) and a beef bashka sandwich. Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo of the bashka, but both dishes were tasty and satisfying. The fries were good, but didn't seem as good as the Bridgeview location. I also noticed that the Lombard location didn't include the sweet bbq (?) sauce with the bashka like Bridgeview does. In any case, good food and good service. I was happy to see the same gentleman here that runs the Bridgeview location, so food quality will hopefully be consistent. read more

Where to begin!! New place in Lombard so decided to give it a try with the family! Glad we did. Clean friendly and very welcoming!! Ordered the family chicken platter and glad we did!! From the appetizers to the chicken shawarma wraps to the sauce's provided was perfect!! Kids enjoyed every bit of the food on the platter!! Customer service was great too!! Keep up the good work!! I've been eating shawarma for 30 years and I can say this place can stand toe to toe with the best shawarma I've had in Palestine and Jordan. Tried the Bashka here and it was really good! The meat was flavorful, the rice was on point, and the sauces tied everything together nicely. Super filling and definitely hit the spot. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the food tasted just a little old -- not super fresh like I expected. Could've just been the time of day, but it was noticeable. Still, the place is clean, staff was friendly, and I'd come back again for sure. Just hoping it's a bit fresher next time! Maybe it's just me, but think their pricing is a bit over the top with shawarma priced at $16.89 , which combined with tax takes you to $20+ per person with a drink and God forbid you add on fries. Always, been a fan of their Bridgeview location but I'm not sure I can agree with their pricing . Also overall felt their menu was quite confusing. We stopped by Hello Shawarma in Lombard and tried a variety of items, and everything hit the spot! The steak and chicken fluffy pita shawarma was delicious (sadly they were out of lamb by the time we arrived around 9 PM, so we'll definitely come earlier next time). We also ordered mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers, a customizable steak bowl (which is such a great option), a crunchy breaded chicken wrap, and even a soup-like dish. Everything was flavorful and satisfying. The restaurant itself is beautiful and modern. The yellow-and-gray aesthetic really pops, with lots of seating, nice furniture, and plenty of wall chargers for convenience. There's also ample parking since it's located in a shopping area. I especially appreciated the unique drink selection--it's nice to see local businesses being supported. Prices are reasonable overall, though I will say the $15 sandwich doesn't come with fries or a drink, but the quality makes it worth it. Service was good. Overall, highly recommended! Food is a good portion that my and both appreciated. Good choices on the menu. Service is with a smile and prompt. Ample room and clean with nice ambiance. The only thing I would have appreciated is that for people who carry out don't need to go back to the order line just to get their food which can literally take ten to 15min depending on the line.
