    Filet Mignon clay pot
    Rebecca B.

M'dakhan is a vibe! If you are celebrating a birthday they go all out!!! The servers are friendly and gave the best recommendations! We got the beef ribs and the fillet mignon clay pot! The clay pot has flames when it is served and the dish was delicious it was savory and well flavored with a kick! I would order this again especially on a cold Chicago night. The beef ribs fell off the bone and were so tender! They didn't even give us a knife!!!

I came here a few months ago and the ribs were really big and for the price, it was worth it, and the foods delicious but I came today and all of a sudden the portions (of the ribs) are half the size. That's very disappointing. Foods great though

This place is always a #1 for me! M'dakhan has the absolute greatest food in Little Palestine. So wonderfully spiced, everything is a win here. We recently got the platter for 6 with mixed meats, the one with lamb and the short rib. By far, the short rib is my most favorite dish here. It's very lively and absolutely bustling, so make a reservation. While it's a large restaurant, it's always packed. The food comes out quickly and every single staff member is an absolute pleasure. To get your taste of Middle Eastern food from the Levant, this is an absolute must! Always 5 stars from me!

This was honestly one of the best middle eastern restaurants ive been to in the US. I travel alot for work and pleasure and try middle eastern restaurants in every city I go to, so I was excited to check M'dakhan out. Unfortunately we were a party of 6 going on January 1st, 2026, and the wait was 2 hours, which was understandable since it was a holiday. The wait actually got me more excited to try the food because I knew then that it wasnt going to be just another disappointment! Other than the long wait, the host and server were great! The food came out pretty quick and the ambiance was great! Everything I ordered and ate was amazing! Had zero complaints for once and left extremely happy! I will definitely be back! Overall Food & Vibe 9.8/10

This whole experience was amazing! We came here to celebrate my birthday. We had heard about the quality food and long wait and we got both. The wait on the weekends is long but well worth it because with their system they send you a text when it's 15 min out so you can explore a cafe or do what you need nearby while waiting which is what we did. We started the meal with the chicken cheese panini. It was amazing from the tender meat to the sauce that was inside and the crispy pita and cheese that was melted. Loved this! We ordered the mixed grill which came with hummus and baba. Both dips were tasty and paired well with the food. Another standout dish is the ribs. The tender meat with bbq sauce. Loved this as well. I liked how there was not as much fat on the ribs and felt like they had roasted and braised this meat for hours. Very high recommend. All the other meats and rice were good and last was the kinafa. It was nicely melted and was very tasty! The service was excellent and everyone always is checking in on you. The staff was always smiling and I love that about this place. The server Noor was so good and funny!

Wanted to try something different. My husband and I came from recommendation. Definitely would be returning. The environment is calm & relaxing. Our waiter (Hazem) was the best. He explained the different foods and options to us. He was kind pleasant and very helpful

The food here is incredible!! Best in the suburb if not the greater Chicago area. The staff is super nice! They do get very busy but we were able to get right in!

This time I had the hot and spicy filet mignon and it was perfectly delicious the steak was tender and the sauce was not too tomatoe like and flavorful. The seafood mixed grill was also very flavorful and none of the seafood was dry. All well balanced. Service is always good..we got to sample some Turkish coffee and it had a nice citrus and black pepper flavor and well well balanced.

Terrible experience. Do not get the mansaf bites or the ribs not worth the money at all. The mansaf bites come with not even a crumb of meat it's all rice. Extremely overpriced. Told them i had a bite that was completely rice with not even one bit of meat and they made me open one in front of them to prove it had a tiny amount. And then they shrugged and told me I should've ordered the platter. Ribs tasted good but weren't worth $40.

We visited M'dakhan to celebrate my husband's birthday, and wow. it turned out to be absolutely amazing. I was on the hunt for a spot specialized in meats and when I found this restaurant, it seemed like the perfect idea. They have a great variety, and the portions are really generous, everything tasted absolutely delicious. We ended up ordering hummus, Fried Halloumi Cheese (100% recommended) Grilled Jumbo Shrimp and lamb chops. We also had some hot tea, and honestly, everything was incredible. The service was great as well.

From the moment we stepped out of the car, you could smell the food in the air. The place was packed, people everywhere, plates flying out nonstop. You can see the food being made right in front of you, so by the time I sat down I already knew what I was getting. I went for the lamb shank. It came with rice and bread, and wow... the meat just fell off the bone. Juicy, tender, full of flavor. Every bite had that mix of spices and the BBQ on the lamb was perfect with it. The vibe was lively but welcoming, and the staff was friendly even with the rush. I'm sure I will come back, I want to try everything on the menu.

Never been to a restaurant that is so freaking good like this one. No lies every single dish we ordered tasted amazing!!! I never liked mansaf in my life but the one they had was absolutely delicious and still craving it now. We came on a weekday in the evening and it was a bit of a wait but there is a seating inside and out to wait and while you do they serve you the Arabic coffee with spices that was good. The servers were very accommodating and friendly that felt like home. There were some birthday and union parties going on while we sat, looks like a good place for celebrating some happy moments where the staff would come by and cheer for you. I highly recommend this spot.

    Family kabob platter

We went to this restaurant when were visiting family in Chicago. The food was so delicious. We order the family platter which had a variety of kabobs and 2 different types of rice. The kabobs were done just right. My favorite was the beef kabob. We also had appetizers that were tasty too. I highly recommend this place. All meat is Halal.

I called them because I wasn't sure if the online version would be too slow. We were a group of three that came in Saturday night at 7 pm. It was moderately busy. The staff were all welcoming with smiles on their faces and attentiveness. Prices were fair for the amount of food you receive. Food portions are colossal so I would recommend one appetizer and one entree if you are a couple. They give you a complimentary dish. We ordered arayes with meat, meat toshka, mixed grill with baba ghanouj, fillet of basa fried, and mint lemonade. They also offer you fresh Arabic coffee before you leave. This is about a 4.5-5. -arayes with meat 4 - this was not bad. It's like a tamer version of the meat toshka. -meat toshka 5 - I prefer this over the arayes because they add the Syrian cheese. This one was bursting with flavor the moment you took a bite out of it. The minced beef and lamb just melt in the mouth. -mixed grill 5 - this came with 3 big skewers (shish kabab, kufta kabab, and chicken tawook. It also has tomatoes and onions to help cut down the meat when digesting. There are two heaping portions of biryani and saffron rice and baba ghanouj. The baba ghanouj was creamy and flavorful. It goes well with the pita bread. The meats were cooked medium well unless you want something. I think next time I'll ask for the shish kababs to be cooked medium rare or medium for a more juicy taste. The chicken tawook and kufta were both succulent. -fillet of basa fried 5 - the two pieces of basa fillet were astronomical. It also comes with two different kinds of rice. The fish was flaky, moist, and seasoned. Make sure you add the lemon and eat it with the sauce. -mint lemonade 5 - this was very refreshing after eating a heavy meal.

We came on a Saturday night around 7 pm and we were able to find parking immediately. To be clear, the parking area is kind of tight and cramped. If you can't find parking here, you can try seeing if parking is available in the neighborhood or next door. Inside Al Manakeesh, they have a plentiful amount of tables. You order at the front, receive a pager, and wait for your food. They have additional drinks in the back. They are known for making Middle Eastern flatbread pizzas and kaaks (bagel). Customer service was great. They were very efficient at making the food and drinks. Everyone was nice. No one was pushy when we ordered our items. Prices were good, they were inexpensive. We ordered egg/meat/cheese, pepperoni, mixed meat bagel, sfeha with tahaina, and zaatar/akkawi cheese/cherry tomato. Honestly, everything was a 5/5. I liked that the pizzas weren't floppy and none of the ingredients slid off. The portions were huge. I also got a peach matcha. After mixing it, the peach taste was very noticeable: -The pepperoni tastes cleaner and more flavorful than the American places. For some reason, the American ones are so greasy and oily. -For the egg/meat/cheese pizza, the egg taste really stands out. -Sfeha is halal ground beef and has more flavor than regular ground beef. The tahaina helps make it pop. -The zaatar/akkawi/cherry tomato is an awesome combination. When you take that first bite, you'll immediately taste all of the ingredients. It's that prominent. -The mixed meat kaak has halal turkey, halal roast beef, halal salami, mozzarella, Mexican cheese, and their signature sauce. They give you two cups of sauces. One I think is the signature sauce and the red one is a little spicy. The portion is big enough to share between 3-4 people.

Plus the experience (service) was really good, and, we couldn't wait to come back. Unfortunately, when we returned just 4 days later (on Wednesday) it was a disaster... There was no hostess this time, just 3 gentlemen, we waited about 10 minutes before anyone even came to our table with menus (we were the only clients, the restaurant was empty) they didn't greet us or say hello, and simply dropped the menus on the table and walked away, and about 10 minutes later, someone finally came back to take our order, but the biggest disappointment, though, was the food. We ordered the hummus, and it was clearly a SPOILED It had an extremely sour taste, similar to spoiled milk, It was SOOO BAD that I couldn't even eat it. We also ordered the mac and cheese bites, and they were absolutely drenched in oil The service was just as disappointing. No one ever brought us water or even asked if we'd like something to drink, not even the complimentary water that most restaurants provide. At the end of the meal, we had to walk up to the cashier ourselves to pay, and the staff was rude throughout the entire interaction. Our first visit was so wonderful, but our second experience completely changed our impression, we won't be returning.
