So I purchased a Groupon today for this company and tried calling them, and there was a message that said they only communicate via text messaging. So I booked my appt online and added a note that I had a Groupon. I was later told that I had to pay the difference in pricing because I used to have a membership. I stated I didn't remember ever visiting Hello Sugar and was told they used to be named Sugar Me Wax. I explained that I shouldn't be faulted for that because I was unaware that is was the same company, but per their Groupon fine print it should still be valid because I hadn't visited Sugar Me Wax in years(clearly lol) basically I was told the fine print was an error and I could cancel or pay the difference. I canceled. Classic bait and switch. Beware of this company. Thats why I canceled my membership when they were Sugar Me Wax because their business practices are shady. Guess bad businesses just get so many complaints and just change their name, but not practices. read more

I love my sugar wax!!! I had never even thought about getting waxed before lol, but after 5 decades on this planet, I have shaved enough!!! I went online, saw the prices, and scheduled my appointment. It was super quick and easy! Then, I answered some easy questions and voila! I was scheduled. I got a few texts confirming my appointment time and even got a check- in text. After checking in, my aesthetician explained everything in detail and went to work. The salon has a really cool feeling. It's clean and comfortable. The beds adjusted so I didn't have to move around too much except to flip over and reposition my legs. I highly recommend the sugaring, which didn't hurt at all! I was a little worried, but my aesthetician explained everything as she went and I was immediately put at ease. I made a return appointment right there, and will be back in two weeks, when I should have another round of hair growth. She explained that as I wax more and more and get my hair on the same growth cycle, I should be able to stretch out my appointments. I really love this and everything is clean and smooth! read more

Do NOT let EMMA (Palette Collective Queen Creek) location touch your brows, she does not know how to tint or wax she will paint on your tint like a CLOWN I asked to view my tint because it felt like she applied it so sloppy and it was splattered all over my brows and forehead. She admitted to me that she has NO EXPERIENCE tinting yet she applied it to my face. I immediately asked her to remove the tint before it stained my face and did not allow her to continue services on me. I wasted my time coming here, I left without being properly serviced and I cancelled my membership and have asked for a refund (not received yet) of my unused $34.00 credit for today's date of service that I did not receive by a licensed professional. As a member I was going to try this location because my usual technician at the East Mesa location was booked too far out to fit me in before my vacation to the beach. I specifically scheduled it for today 6/29 at 6:25pm so I was clear to go in the ocean after 24 hours. I arrived at the appointment 15 minutes early to the address that popped up when I scheduled the appointment, and where gps brought me to. I knock on the door at my appointment time and I am greeted by a confused gentleman saying this location has moved, and he was the contractor renovating this space. (The door still had the "hello sugar" decal, and there was no notice of closure.) I contact hello sugar at 6:30 (via texting because they do not talk to clients over the phone???) and I am instructed on how to get to the new location. While I am on my way I let them know I would be there at 6:45pm. I am then told there is no availability at the moment and asked if I could reschedule for another day. Nooo? That's why I had an appointment and I was never contacted, and the address was never updated on their google, or yelp listing. I arrive at the "new" location and I asked if they had anything the rest of the night because I'm desperate. Then they ask if the Tempe location would work for me at 7:00pm. How was I expected to drive from queen creek to Tempe in 15 minutes after I already drove 20 minutes out of my to get to the first location. This appointment was scheduled a week ago, why was the address not up to date then? Why was I not contacted by the technician or hello sugar with an address change? Or at the very least an update on google listings or yelp. I canceled my membership and I will find somewhere with better communication skills. Also - the reminders should state the name of the technician, and list the address the appointment was scheduled for. read more

This was my FIRST ever wax and getting a Brazilian for my first was was ambitious to say the least. I was terrified and rescheduled the appointment probably 3 or 4 times from being so scared and life getting in the way. The building was easy to find per the instructions texted to me when setting up my appointment. Mariah greeted me with a smile and made me feel comfortable and welcomed. She answered all my questions and was very empathetic during my wax. It hurt a lot more than I thought it would and told me to take breaks, encouraged me to keep the deep breathing, and to scream in pain if I needed to. I never once felt uncomfortable, and she always asked if I wanted to stop, but her energy and endearing professionalism helped me to push through- because who wants to leave with a half finished wax job? At the end of the day, I am happy with the work Mariah did and I would definitely come see her again for any wax needs. So firstly some context about Sugar Me Wax's Queen Creek location. It is a single room within a facility that houses 20 or so different independent businesses, all with their own single rooms, like hairdressing salons, etc in a very intimate setting. What this means is that Sugar Me Wax is housed in a tiny room in which only one client can be seen at any one time. There is no waiting room or place to check in. I showed up for my appointment at 12.40, five minutes ahead of schedule. The door was locked, the curtains were closed and I could hear voices. So I took that to mean there was still a client being seen. Having been to this location on a couple of occasions previously, the door has always been open and the curtains open when they are ready for their next client. Rather than stand outside the door, I went to sit in the lobby area of the overall complex, knowing there is only one way in and out so I'd see when the client left. Sure enough, about 10 minutes later, a lady came past from that part of the building. I wonder if that was her? So I wander back but the door is still closed, the curtains still drawn. So every 5 minutes I wander back to see if the technician is ready but every time the door is closed, the curtains drawn. Finally after half an hour I go wander back and stand outside the door and someone comes around the corner and says out loud so everyone in the building could hear, "Are you here for your Male Brazilian. I'm afraid you've missed your appointment." So I proceed to explain I've been here the whole time waiting for the door to be open and she apologizes and accepts its her fault after she questions why I didn't knock. "I'm not going to knock if I think you've working on a naked client I explain." "Well I'm sorry" she says, "but I'm booked back to back. Would you like me to see if I can get you in to another location?" "No," I explain, "I live 5 minutes from here, that's why I booked it. It's 1.15 now, when is your next appointment?" "2 pm" she says?! "Ok, can we do it now?" I say. "No, it's my lunch break." "But you've just had half an hour sitting around," I plead. My wife was booked in for next Friday, once I told her my story she asked me to cancel her appointment. So they have lost two customers through the rudeness and unprofessionalism of this employee. I give this place 0 stars but I probably have to give one star. I called to get address from 8am with no answer. I walked in her room at 10:05 had to use restroom due to water intake this am. She wanted me to goto my email and find a consent form which was never ever sent. She looked at her phone to send me a screen shot and I said how will I fill out if your sending me a picture. She wasn't even ready sitting on her phone table not dressed with paper cloth. She said hurry because now I only have 10 min for your wax. I said oh I do not want you to rush? It's a Brazilian? She said no I have time! Funny when the salon FINALLY ANSWERED and new I was lost they said I have a Grace period til 10:10??? ((Obviously not true)) then she said 1 min later it's now 10:08 and she said your going to log in and fill it out (again not my fault never sent me a link) and as she is doing so and getting flustered she said you know what I'm not going to have time! I told her how I live 20 min away mind you I'm a single mother of six and I work full time? Was on time for my appointment and called several times. I said are you getting a attitude because now she turned rude! She said no I said can I get the managers number of course she didn't have it! I said no worries I will Yelp it and call ((if someone even ever answers)) DON'T TRY IT EVEN FOR THEIR PROMOTION! I mean not worth the drive or attitude or lack of Communication. I've been coming here for about 6-7 months now and I love the sugaring services that are offered! Lexi is amazing and makes the process less stressful when it's your first time. I get the Brazilian and underarms both sugaring and i like it much better than regular wax. It's quicker and less painful/uncomfortable than having hot wax on your skin. My mom just started coming here too and she was happy with the service Lexi provided as well! I would recommend anyone that is interested in trying sugaring and make sure you book Lexi! read more

I booked through them during a deal. Of course, I was her last appnt for the night at the Queen Creek location. 1- I didn't know the doors locked after a certain time. So I tried calling and it went to their voicemail system. I had to walk around to figure out where I was supposed to go, until someone walked out and I let myself in. (Try to be informative to those that are new and not familiar with the building by telling them when booking the appointment) 2- it was a quick appnt, maybe 20-25mins. However, later on I noticed why one side of my skin was hurting it was Bc she burnt my skin and didn't say anything. She missed a few spots and didn't bother to use the tweezers where needed. 3- then she proceeded to talk about their monthly membership. If u gave me poor service during a promotion you had I would never sign up for a monthly membership. 4- give your full service and care during a promotion just like you would treat your customer if they were on the monthly plan. -Overall: Won't be coming to this place again. read more

This was by far the worst waxing experience I've ever had. I took advantage of a bikini special and wish I never did. It was a complete waste of money and was the most painful wax I've experienced. Tons of missing hairs and lower back is covered now with red bumps and still have not gone away.
