I was honestly really impressed with Sidi. The technician arrived just a few hours after I made the appointment. Sidi was extremely friendly and helpful. Sidi gave me great insight into where to place the system components (for my SimpliSafe security system, doorbell, and lock) and was really kind throughout. I had to run to my office to make a call while we were figuring out where everything should go. Sidi just kept diligently working and making progress without me and then checked in when I returned. I'd use HelloTech again if I could get Sidi as my technician! I thought the rates were a bit steep, but after my experience today, I'm fine paying it for a headache-free experience. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars. This company, their customer service and their practices are absolutely terrible. I can not believe the incompetence on their part. I ordered an installation of a TV via amazon. When the day came for an 11am-2pm installation window, no one came to install the TV. I contacted them at 1:45pm and after several attempts and finally got through to someone. They then told me they were "about to reach out to me" to tell me that they don't have any technicians that can work in my area. Then to find out they didn't have my phone number or email, so not sure how they would have contacted me. The tech said she could get someone out to me on Saturday, I said I needed it sooner so she suggested the next day or the day after. I said great. The next day (today) I contacted them again after no one came and they told me that they had canceled my order completely because no technicians are in my area. They apologized that they didn't contact me and said it was an issue on their part. WHAT ARE THEY TALKING ABOUT!? Canceling my order, not notifying me and not sure about my refund. Also, I live in Providence, this company services Rhode Island. If you don't have technicians here, where are they!? Also, this state is the smallest in the country, it takes MINUTES to drive from one city to the other. If they don't have a tech around me, I'm sorry, they must not have any. DO NOT work with them. This is the most incompetent company at best, at worst, a scam. read more

My tech showed up in street clothes with no badge and only a screwdriver in his pocket and nothing more. Granted he didn't need many more tools than that, but a level for mounting keypads and locks would have been helpful. Within minutes he was denigrating the Simplisafe system I just bought and he continued throughout the installation. It did nothing to encourage my wife's confidence in the system which is the only reason I spent money on a security system. After he removed my old Ring doorbell, he said "Here's your ring doorbell for when you get tired of the Simplisafe system." I've never written a bad review like this. Horrible experience. They came to mount my tv, a week later it fell off the wall. I called an endless amount of times to get this problem fixed and no technicians were ever "available." I only spoke to one representative that was actually sympathetic to my situation. When someone finally came to fix the problem they left the holes in my wall and they are still there to this day because what is the point in spending the rest of my life on the phone trying to get that fixed too !! read more

There was not a long wait to get someone on the phone. They scheduled an appointment for the next day. They kept in touch before the scheduled time of appointment. The technician arrived on time. Charles did a great job troubleshooting the problem. He solved probably 90% of the problem. I figured out the last piece myself to get the wired connection for my first Roku to work. When I scheduled today's appointment I did tell the customer service rep. that I wanted to have the connections for a second Roku checked but that information was not relayed to Charles. I did ask Charles if he could also test the connection for a second Roku since he figured out how to troubleshoot the problem with the first Roku, but he declined and suggested I set up another service call and he said it would probably result in another tech coming out. That was disappointing since it would be inefficient to have a new tech come out and start from scratch, not to mention I would have to pay for another service call. I think this aspect of the service call could have been handled better. read more
