The food also comes out rather quickly, as the menu is not very large, focusing primarily on chicken, waffles, and a few sides. Usually, when a restaurant keeps its menu limited, you can expect that the food will be top notch, as fewer moving parts in a kitchen allows for better focus. Yet, I found that the experience fell flat, with very salty chicken and soggy waffles. Ordering is easy, with the options of a few different combos, varying in the amount of chicken, fries, or waffles you get. For the price point, you get a decent amount of food which is always nice. There's also a decent amount of sauce options as well. The interior is cute with a honeycomb theme along with outdoor patio seating which seems to be shared by the other local restaurants. What in the Hell's Fried Disappointment was that? I was in the mood for something breaded, so I decided to try out the chicken place near my office. First, their online ordering was either turned off or not working, so I walked over to place my order. The place was empty at noon on a Friday. So orange flag #1. Where were the students? The guy at the counter passed over the menu, which was different than the online version - probably why they aren't taking online orders. I placed my order, and had issues with the card reader and adding a tip (so I apologize for that, guy at the counter!). I went to fill my drink cup, which I didn't really want, but there wasn't really an option without one. Couldn't find a non-caffeinated drink other than Minute Made Fruit Punch (soooo sweet!), and so very RED. By the time I was finished, my lunch was boxed up on the counter. Darker orange flag #2, since that was WAY too fast for fresh food. I had tenders with the garlic parm sauce. Back at the office I open the box to find the chicken tenders, some cold, limp fries, and a cold, floppy waffle. The tenders were pretty good, and the breading was what I had in mind, but not the rest. The sauce was basically garlic paste, and tasted like garlic paste. The food was great! The batter was very crunchy and tasty. Get the drumsticks or wings, people...skip the tenders and sandwich. It really is the best way to judge a chicken place. If there was a thigh combo only, that's the one I'd get. The value of a combo meal was good! $10 got you 4 drumsticks, 1 waffle, some fries, drink and dipping sauce! So I thought this was Korean fried chicken, but it's definitely just fried chicken. To be honest, I'm a little disappointed because it wasn't Korean fried chicken as advertised, but putting that aside-- this is pretty good. It's a hit or miss though. The first time I got the breast & wing combo, and that was cold and not that great. The next time, I decided to get the chicken tenders combo instead because I thought it would be a safer order-- and it was! The tenders were moist and crunchy. I do like how the fries are curly fries. The combos come with a drink, a side (the sides are abnormally small though, as you can see the cole slaw is in the same container as the sauce), a sauce, and bread. The bread is not good, it reeks of butter, and not in a good way. The spicy devil sauce is very good, and definitely complements the chicken/fries really well. Best fried chicken I've had in Cleveland! They first advertised themselves as a Korean fried chicken restaurant, but they just sell regular fried chicken. The fried macaroni is definitely a novelty that actually tastes good, but they only gave two pieces. I wish they gave more. The chicken drumsticks were crunchy in just the right amount, and the drumsticks were large enough to feed myself and my companion. There's plenty of tables outside to social distance. The interior also has a ton of space, but it's hard to social distance if there are already more than three parties sitting already. Parking is tough to find. You're better off parking at the parking garage on Ford Drive, which is only a minute walk away. read more

Again, not as tender as Cane's, but much plumper pieces. Fries are pretty pedestrian waffle version and toast, is toast. The standout was the coleslaw. Nice flavor and creamy. My wife really enjoyed the chicken sandwich. Not as magnificent as Popeye's, but really, what chicken sandwich is? Because of COVID, we did this to go and even though we live close, the meal got a little cold. This is the perfect food to eat-in. When the pandemic ends, we're trying this again. They advertise themselves as a Korean Fried Chicken spot, but honestly its just a ritzy KFC. They have changed their menu since my first visit which actually made it worse, you have to pay extra for things that used to be included, and they changed their combos. They used to have curly fries which were so good and now they are regular wedges. you used to be able to get mac and cheese bites INCLUDED with your combo, now its $2 extra. They also dont give you the option to get ranch or blue cheese. Unless management decides to change it up again i wont be back. They messed up my order on my first visit and so i gave them another chance and the second time i found what appeared to be an undercooked tender so i think im done with this. It was so exciting to finally try this chicken place! I found it really comparable in taste go chick filet, but I liked the sauces a little more because they were spicy. I also thought the system made sense here- you walk in and order from a list of chicken meals, pay, get a number and wait to be called. It's fast, organized and efficient. I ordered the chicken sandwhich- which was huge. It was moist and tasted great. I mixed the spicy sauce and barbecue sauce and put it on my sandwich. It came with a drink, a side and curly fries, all for $7.65. It was extremely filling and delicious! The vibe inside was good too. It's got an industrial look and does not come with kids running everywhere like Chic filet lol. Its also near Case's campus, which is convenient for students. Finally, the staff was really nice! I don't ever write reviews but this one is a must. My partner and I went there for the first time and noticed that there was zero parking for customers not even off street. We parked at a parking lot next to the building thinking that it was for the customers of this and the other 2 establishments next to hells chicken. We went inside and b4 we ordered I asked the gentlemen that took our order was it ok to park there but he spoke very little English and all I understood was it's ok park outside and a smile. We ordered our food which came up to $21. As soon as we went outside our car was towed. The food definitely was not worth the $160 paid for my tow. My point is that if you know that that's a towing zone whether the customer is aware of it or not it is your job to ask if your customers parked in that lot and if so warned them. I don't know how this place survives because literally there is zero parking around there. You would have to walk at least half a mile to get some damn chicken that definitely wasn't worth one bit the risk of getting towed and on top of that the towing company mishandled my car and the whole bottom plastic protection panel was tore out. They showed no compassion and the impression they gave me was of THATS YOUR PROBLEM NOT MINE!!!!! I will NEVER again visit this place. Food and parking even worse. read more

Since we were first timers he was patient and informative. We received our meal and were on the shuttle back to our hotel in under 15 minutes. Everything here is perfect, the chicken is great! The style of fries I'm not a fan of but they taste great and the toast is fresh. The only reason I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 is 2 reasons, 1. I need more fries in the box like chicken on top of a stack of fries. 2. Need more Variety of sauces, the sauces they got is cool but some people like myself love the tenders with honey mustard or BBQ sauce. I was excited to hear that a new restaurant was opening in Uptown, and to hear that it was a korean fried chicken place too! The menu is really simple and priced super reasonably - you can select from a variety of combos that come with drinks/sides or you could even just order chicken. The packaging is cute and the service was pretty fast when we ordered inside. The chicken is cooked really well and they have a good variety of sauces to choose from. The sides were okay, not bad but not anything amazing. I wouldn't actually call this place a korean fried chicken restaurant like BonChon, it's just a regular fried chicken place but the chicken is great! I would say the food is definitely worth the price and I'd come back here again in the near future! read more

Ordered the chicken tender combo, and was very impressed. The breading travels well (ate about 30min after ordering), very crispy, and the quality of the chicken is above average. Great toast, fries were OK(probably because of time). Had the fried mac and was better than most bars that I've had it at - which isn't saying a ton, but good nonetheless. I'll have to try more of the sauces - the spicy sauce was not for me. I'd like to see a couple more options. Staff was also super friendly. Although I enjoyed take-out - they are set up well for physical-distancing, with sanitizing stations a plenty. Definitely plan on returning, and would recommend to any fried chicken fan. read more

Not bad, but not the best. I tried this spot on a rec from a friend, and it was a wholly average experience. The ordering process is easy, and the meals are priced as you might expect - I got the chicken sandwich meal with a drink and fries for a little over $7. The first disappointment was no sauce - I ordered my sandwich with the garlic parm sauce and it came dry as a bone. Unfortunately I was already long gone from the shop before I realized so I couldn't ask them to correct the error. Second disappointment was soggy fries - they were waffle fries, which are already not super crispy, and they were a bit cold. They do have a Pepsi machine that lets you try new flavors with your classic sodas (similar to the coke freestyle), so that was nice. Also, the chicken was moist on the inside and nice and crispy on the outside, so that was a plus as well. Overall - good chicken, but check your order to make sure they did it right before you leave, and if you like hot crispy fries, don't bother getting fries here. read more

I ordered tenders, and they arrived promptly enough, but they were thoroughly slathered in a red sauce that was both one-note spicy hot and excessively sweet. It turned the fried coating on the chicken into a paste--no more crispy tenders. Both the chicken and the coating have zero seasoning. I did take one bite, and despite the eye-pinchingly terrible flavor, I was surprised by how tender the meat was. I decided to waste about four feet of paper towels to try to dab the goop off, then I added more paper towels to line a plate; I added the chicken onto this and put the plate into the refrigerator to (hopefully) dry out the "food.". Maybe I can salvage the tenders in my air fryer the next day. If not, perhaps I can scrape the orange porridge off of the meat and use the chicken in a stir fry with vegetables, some sauce, and rice. But, they price their chicken very fair and had specials when I visited. Perfect temperature, soft and juicy chicken, spice is unknown but out of this world. I broke my wife's heart because I told her I wanted a divorce to marry this chicken. It had everything and was balanced. But the kicker is the spice coating. This is not a powder coating in the batter or dusted on afterwards. It is kind of reminiscent of Nashville chicken because the spice is an oil mixture that the chicken is coated in (probably dipped). Second time at Hell's. Wasn't impressed the first time but decided to give it another shot. The music is so loud the staff cannot hear your order. Both times the food took fairly long for chicken fingers. On this particular occasion I needed to use the bathroom, and was told it was out of order. I had high hopes for this new chicken joint but it did not live up to expectations. I ordered take out and felt uncomfortable from the minute I left the register. With a mostly full dining room there is not adequate space for one to wait for their order in any sort of distanced manner while surrounded by mask less patrons. Now onto the food, the meal was very large and the prices were low but outside of the actual chicken everything felt uninspired and taken straight off the shelf at the grocery store. The chicken tenders were very large and moist (the only good thing about the meal) retained a nice crisp to them but were dripping in grease with every bite. The meal is served with a buttered top cut hot dog bun (which I found to be an odd choice), curly fries, and fried Mac and Cheese.
