It's really too bad that the service here is so terrible. Otherwise, I'd definitely frequent Hollands BBQ since it's so close to my house and their food is good. Ordered from here on DoorDash at about 2:20 pm on a Saturday afternoon. They open at 2 and it was nowhere near dinner time, so we figured we might be able to get our food a little faster than their usual 1 hour wait. Wrong. The order still said it would take about 50 minutes. Okay, whatever. After about an hour and 15 minutes, the Doordasher messaged to say that the restaurant gave our food to another customer and that they were refusing to remake it. Things like happen all too often here. Mix-ups by the restaurant and they never take responsibility or try to correct the error in favor of the customer. When I have come in to place or pick up an order, there is always 1 person at the front handling the phone, delivery service orders, and people coming inside to place orders, as well as cashing folks out. It seems like too much for 1 person to handle and obviously a recipe for disaster. Luckily there were no issues getting a refund. I won't be trying this again anytime soon. read more

Let me start by saying this place is really close to my house and I started going there because of a friend. I haven't had this in almost a year and had a taste for a barbecue. I do think they need to do better with their online advertisement and pricing because as far as I knew from not being there in a while, they were still the same, but I was wrong .. apparently they went up $2. Which I have no problem paying if the food is worth it it would just have been nice to know what I was getting myself into. I got the rib tip and wing combo. The meat is always seasoned pretty well. I do feel like they changed their fries. They weren't as good. I think they used to be fresh cut and now they're frozen. So, back in 2019, I moved into the Euclid area and couldn't find a great rib to save my life. Then I stumbled upon the smell all too familiar, the smell of charcoal and pork. Hollands BBQ, a staple on the upper Eastside that has mouth watering ribs, great customer service and wings for those who are about that chicken. Everytime I go to Holland BBQ, I get a full slab and fries, they load me up and I give portions that I can eat on for days. Plus, management is kind and brings you your food to the car. The ribs had a lot of chew to them but decent flavor. The ribs needed to be finished in an oven to break down the meat better. served with coleslaw and 2 pieces of wheat bread from the bag. Super friendly, with tasty food. Located in a historic neighborhood. It's a 5 min drive off the 90 freeway. There was a cheerful man cooking ribs out front in the sidewalk. The gentleman inside was very accommodating as I searched the menu. They have everything BBQ from shrimp to ribs. I was torn between chicken and pulled pork. I ultimately picked the pork. It didn't disappoint! The serving was generous. The meat was moist, the sauce had a wonderful balance of sweet, acid with a little spice on the back end. The sandwich was served open face with fries. They drizzled some of the sauce over the fries which stayed crispy despite the sauce so well done all around. My wife and I split the sandwich and were totally satisfied. Fantastic catfish! The owner and cook was extremely friendly and even brought our food out to us in the car. Portions were large enough for lunch and dinner. Every day after school my kids and I walk by and smell the grill in the parking lot smoking and smelling of summer and meat. My son is always asking to eat there; however, I do most of the cooking and eating out can be expensive. The decor and building may be a bit run down, but the food smells delicious. My children and I stopped by and ordered chicken fingers and fries. It took about 5 to 10 minutes for the food to come out, but it came out hot and fresh. The chicken was real pieces of white meat with a good crust of breading. The fries, while a bit salty, were delicious and addictive. The meal was a generous helping of fries and chicken for about $5. Both my children (who can, at times, be picky) ate their meals in silence and exalted the taste. I look forward to trying some other items from the menu in the future! While the inside had me kind of skeptical the BBQ chicken wings made up for any trepidation I was experiencing. The wings were made to order so they were steaming hot. They also give you plenty of sauce which a lot of places don't. My only complaint is the way it looks. Not the greatest decor. Some of the worse customer service I've seen in a local restaurant in a long time. I went based on a recommendation from a family member As soon as I walked in with two other patrons a man greeted us by screaming "we ain't taking no more orders for 20-30 minutes". I then asked how long until the food is ready after the wait to order. He replied about an hour. I didn't feel like 3 wings and fries was worth an hour and a half wait so I left. I decided to try again today and as soon I walked in I asked how long the wait was. I was told I could order now but there's four tickets ahead of you. I said that's fine. The phone rang and the guy answered it while saying he was about to take my order. Side note: I called before I arrived but no one answered my call. The gentleman was literally on the phone for over 10 minutes taking the order and basically naming off the entire menu to the customer on the phone. Again, I was there before the phone rang and at that point my order hadnt been taken and other patrons began to walk in. A man cooking from the kitchen begins to tell the customers "aye this is how we roll here, some people say they ain't coming back and leave". I decided to visit this restaurant based on the reviews. I was very disappointed. The ribs were overcooked and bland tasting. And the chicken wings were small and very bland tasting. Worst ribs I have ever had in my 71 years. Couldn't even chew them, fat and gristle is all they were. There was less eatable meat on a full slab than on one of Gepettos, or any other rib place. They must be buying the old already dead animals from a slaughter house. NEVER AGAIN!!!! read more

The food has always been great and if you talk to the people who run it, they are very cordial & humorous.
