Chicken looked as if it had been fried using fish batter. Could not get anyone on the phone to resolve the issues. Will not be patronizing this business again.

Rib tips combo w mac n cheese and yams

Long line at 830pm that moved rapidly. One in and one out to keep some semblance of social distancing. No phone orders- one must walk in to order and then wait for them to call your phone. You must show ID if paying with card. They were out of every single dessert when I went along with oxtail. They wrapped up my rib tips combo very expertly today keep the sides separate and the corn bread on top dry. The corn bread was not sweet even at all but wasn't dry even though it was pretty crumbly. The rib tips cake absolutely bathing in an incredibly delicious medium viscosity sweet not spicy barbecue sauce that I am certain has cherry in it. It wasn't cloyingly sweet though! The mac n cheese side was totally great with thick real creamy cheese. The yams were great and unique with hints of orange spice flavor. Overall great Cleveland barbecue with some unique aspects and great efficient service without too much cost.

Being that I'm from Buffalo I found the ribs to be quite tasty , and my 2 sides along with the corn muffin was all on point! There was a lil bit of a wait , but they let you know from the jump when ur ex's pecking good food there's gonna be a wait . Must try neighborhood staple I will be back

OMG, some of the best wings I've ever had!

While visiting Cleveland, I was taken to this place for some fried chicken wings! Can I just say these were the best dayum chicken wings I've ever had! They were fried to perfection! Not to greasy or heavy breading that tends to hinds the chicken! They had a nice crispy crunch just the way I like them! We went back again before I left to get another order and this time we got the black eyed peas with okra, sweet potatoes and a cornbread muffin! OMG, the sweet potato were just like my moms use to make! With lost of flavor and spices! The black eyed peas tasted fresh and very well seasoned, even the fries that came with the chicken wings were the Bomb! The staff was super friendly! Next time I'm in Cleveland I'm making a bee line to this place! It's the next best thang to home cooking! Just be prepared for the wait!

    10 piece with sauce

Baaybee I'm telling you these wings are on point. It's the crunchy batter that really sets them apart from CLE faves like Hot Sauce Williams who have good sauce but-saugy batter. Open pit has a tangy but sweet sauce that's supper addictive. Now as for the service... baebee you better be prepared to see some hood sh*t and be on some hood sh*t... they rude as hell, they don't take call ahead orders, matter of fact I'm still tryna understand why they even have a business phone. They have signs all over telling you you're about to wait about 35 minutes for 10 wings. That don't open until like 6pm...And people freaking wait and deal with the BS... you know why? cause the food is fire.

Large rib tips were banging again!

Staff is nice. Food hot. Call in your order so you don't have to wait. I drive 30 miles for my food, it's worth it.

I really wanted to. Since a number of our friends have been to this establishment and left great reviews, I really wanted to do the same. I really wanted to. However, I'm struggling to do so. It started with our table not being ready yet, no worries there, we understand. The host took us to a lovely little alcove and sat the four of us down and we were quickly approached by the Sommelier. This establishment obviously takes their wine very seriously, almost to the point of being pretentious. But not all of us are wine drinkers. Due to an allergy to sulfites. When we looked at the list of available mixed drinks, nothing really appealed... So my wife asked for a simple vodka and tonic. She was informed that that was not one of the "APPROVED" drinks that they offered. What !?! They have vodka, they have tonic... Why can't we get what we want? When my friend requested an IPA he was informed that IPAs don't pair well with the food offerings, consequently, they do not have that option. Frankly, shouldn't that be HIS decision what he feels pairs with HIS palette and not the restaurants? Just a bit pretentious. Did I mention I really wanted to write a great review? So we sucked it up and ordered two glasses of overpriced white wine ($18 for a glass of mediocre wine) and two of the "approved" drinks offered. At this point, I'd like to state that the service we received other than the initial pretension exhibited by the wine Sommelier, was amazing. Our waiter was attentive and well trained and the support staff made sure that our water glasses were filled. Thankfully, I can leave a great review with regards to them. Now to the food... the dumpling sampler was delicious. The four of us ordered the ribs, the duck, the beef and I ordered the Dan Dan noodles. Honestly, almost all of the dishes were deliciously prepared, albeit a bit modest on the quantity of food presented. Our waiter initially suggested that these could be shared... I'm not sure how we would do that with the smaller plates offered as entrées. My noodles, however, came out as a solid chunk of over microwaved noodles, the kind that you get if you forget to take your Costco ramen out of the microwave in time. It was a solid block of dried out noodles. I was about to call our waiter over and ask that they give it another shot. When out of the corner of my eye I saw my wife giving me "the look", don't make it a thing her eyes said to me. So I took my chopsticks and pried the noodles apart, and tried to mix them with the sauce as best as I could. So to summarize; *A little too pretentious on the whole drink thing. I think they're trying too hard. *Service was great *Three out of four entrees were a success * $17 for a mixed drink is pricey but doable, $18 for mediocre wine not so much. As I mentioned, I really wanted to leave a good review... sadly other than the waiter and the support staff I find it difficult to do. Thank you

The cashier whispered that he should say it is CBD-only flower to avoid getting anyone in trouble...yikes. Anyways, if you can temporarily ignore the total circus environment this place is in then you will experience the best fried chicken and biscuits I've ever had in my life. That's right- out of all of the myriad fried poultry and biscuits from sit down to drive through I've had in my 28 years, this gas station stuff is THE BEST. I've gone three days in a row now and I'm hooked. The thighs and legs are $1.79 ($1.75?) each and the breasts are $2.79 per. Each piece is crispy, crunchy, and hot yet super juicy! Nothing dry here ever. The barbecue sauce is a horrific pinkish red concoction of what must be some sort of depot barbecue sauce tainted with hot sauce and should be avoided at all costs. The biscuits come in honey butter coated regular flavor or glazed blueberry. I normally avoid biscuits and cornbread and the like in general because they always just seem to serve no purpose other than to dry my mouth out and crumble all over everything. These biscuits are DIVINE. They have a slightly crispy outer surface with not moist yet not at all dry interior and are covered in a most sinfully delicious honey butter glaze. They are absolutely ungodly good. The banana pudding in a nearby grab and go cooler is inexplicably $3.99 which is too expensive for a small container even thought it is a nice texture and taste owing to cream cheese in the ingredient list. The cake slices are large and for the same price aren't bad- not dry but not as moist as I'd like either although frosting isn't skimpy. The $1.99 cheesecake slices are to be forgotten. I wrestled with whether to let the cat out of the bag in sharing this gem in the ghetto, but it truly is worth all the business it gets and much more.

It has the neighborhood dive feel I love SO FREAKING MUCH. There are probably ten Garys, actually. I loved the vibes. The service was friendly, and the table we sat at was clean. The food was disappointing. Looking back, we should've ordered something a bit more... pub food-like? A burger, chicken wings, something along those lines. My wife hadn't had lunch, and she ordered a steak and potatoes, and I needed to get some sleep before working late so I ordered on the lighter side, a chicken wrap of some kind from the specials. Both were mistakes, They were cooked properly, but her steak was not a great piece of meat, and my wrap was just chicken, chorizo, and cheese on a tortilla. It needed some veg or a sauce or something. We're going to go back and give this place another shot, because I want SO MUCH for it to be good. I'm going to check through the other reviews to see what others really liked. This place has the potential to be a regular stop just based on the vibes, which I love, love, love.
