If you need a repair or installation of some kind, this gets you some results and communication with companies quickly. I bought a house in Rural Hall (north of Winston Salem) and it is not connected to city sewer and instead uses septic. Well since I was not made aware when the last time the septic tank was serviced and the average life is 3-5 years I thought it would be a good idea to get this done. I put in the request into the Project bidding and Yelp gave me four companies. Mountain View Septic came back with a response in less than five minutes and then another company in about ten minutes but wanted to talk about the job on the phone. After calling the other company and not hearing back from the other two I agreed to Mountain View's cost for the service. Christian gave me a good cost and had a 10% off on Yelp for first-time customers. We set up a time and I had to delay it due to a meeting I had scheduled. Christian was very flexible on the delay and showed up on time. After talking about the job for a few minutes Christian went about locating the septic tank and then once found, uncovered it and opened it up. According to Christian, the tanks were about 3/4 of the way full so I thought the timing of this service was great. I can imagine a nightmare of waking up in the middle of the night to backed-up toilets. The service was relatively quick and Christian was extremely informative about the septic tank and how it performs. I had no idea that much was involved in the process but he certainly did and it was good information to know about. If you need septic services I would highly recommend Mountain View Septic, although relatively new in the business, Christian was knowledgeable, friendly, flexible on the schedule, and reasonable on the costs.

They could have put a camera through the line instead. They also did not clean up the mess or put grass seed down. When I called I was told the they were insulted that I wanted a refund. Paid $1500 and then had to have another company come out and do it right. The second company only charged $500. Do not use this team for a septic inspection when selling a house. They wanted to come back and charge me $3000 more to "fix" a pipe that had no problems.

I immediately googled 'septic service' and dialed the top five listings in order. All straight to voicemail at that hour. Only one bothered to call back: Mrs Horton, the owner of NRV Septic. She called an hour after my call to apologize for not being able to send a crew out that day, as they were already booked up, but she could send one out Sunday morning if I didn't get another company to come on Saturday. Without hesitation, I said, 'Yes!' Sure enough, the next day, her crew of Fred & Laura showed up at 9am--polite, friendly, & ready to work. They fixed the issue promptly, patiently answering my questions as I watched them work. They did such a great job I've used them to fix an issue at our other rental cottage, and plan to use them at our own house, when the septic tank needs pumping. They must be doing well; they're based in Pulaski, but have recently expanded their service area to include Blacksburg & Christiansburg. We'll continue to rely on them in the future. I spoke with Nathan and he said he could be at my home within a few hours. I can't speak to anyone else's experience, as this review is all my personal experience and opinion…read moreonly, as I know not everyone will have the same experience and I also know there are some solid techs at this company (I have personally dealth with them), but unfortunately I had a nightmare experience with mutiple bad apples in my opinion, and it unfortunately resulted in the end of my storied relationship with a plumber that I thought would be the last one I would ever need, but as they say if something seems too good to be true it usually is... I thought I had found a plumber for life, but my personal experience with Option One ended up with me feeling as though they exhibited failed ownership in addressing an issue caused by errors from their techs, lack of accountability with regard to said issue and becoming confrontational and argumentative when the issue was brought to their attention. Long story short, I had a plumbing blockage that resulted in my front yard needing to be dug up and new pipes being installed in the yard. Upon completion of the job, I experienced flooding in my yard and requested Option One to come out and address the issue. They tried to claim it was an irrigation issue not their problem, but after getting another Option One tech and a plumber from another company to come out, it was confirmed (via photos) that the flooding was due to Option One failing to connect the piping correctly. Instead of taking ownership and accountability for the issue, I was met with defensiveness, along with the above stated lack of ownership and accountability. At one point in the process I even had to ask one of the techs to leave my property because he had such a dismissive unprofessional attitude. I could go on and on but I have already wasted so much time on dealing with this issue that it isn't worth any more of my time. At the end of the day, I found another company to correct the failed work done by Option One and this company apologized on behalf of Option One, as this company felt bad that I had to go through such an ordeal, given that the plumbing industry is already viewed in a negative light by many, right up there with mechanics, car salesmen and attorneys by some. You can read my past reviews to see how much I praised this company in the past, which is why I was so disappointed by what in my personal option was a complete lack of accountability and ownership by multiple individuals across the Option One company. After giving this company multiple five star reviews over the years, I cannot recommend them to anyone anymore as the trust they gained over the years was lost in an instant and based on my personal experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend them to anyone moving forward like I have done in the past.
