Good times! What better way to celebrate a Birthday?! Zip lining : ) We easily and individually booked a group of 7 for a weekday morning zip. The 9am slot was perfect, first thing in the am and not too hot. Military or large group discount was offered for booking. The one way road to the zip line parking was pretty rugged, basically dirt and rocks, so take an SUV or truck in. Plenty of signage to direct you to the parking lot. After we parked, we checked in and met our two instructors Mack and Logan. During the first half hour, they helped get us into our gear and helmets, talked about safety rules and guidelines, and went thru a practice zip line. Next, we met Rodney? , the manager, ( sorry can't remember your name ) and he drove us in a small school bus up to the top of the zip line. Nice guy. There were a total of 9 zip lines ... the course zig zagged back and forth to each base, only towards the last line we walked a bit to get to the last zip, which was long ride . Easy peasy! The views were gorgeous, lush, and green as it had just rained the week before. Our young instructors and the manager were great, we felt safe and in good hands. I am so afraid of heights...and stairs with holes in the middle of them (like the ones in lighthouses). However, the crew here is awesome. I have really bad arthritis in my hands so my ability to stop myself gave up on line three. They were great and accommodating and breaker me. I did this as a request for my birthday on the 13th which got rained out. I also requested it because I finally got to a weight in which I could. When I say I cried when I got in my car because I was damn proud of myself...I freaking cried. If you are afraid it's ok to be afraid. This crew is awesome. Becca and Robo were our zip line guides and a lot of fun. They did a nice job interacting with crew and above all insuring safety first. This doesn't mean we didn't have fun, but you could tell this operation has triple backups on making sure everyone is and feels safe. The course itself is very compact and has pretty Valley views over looking a disc course. For 4 folks at almost $500, it is a little steep, but we are building memories right. Care was also taken on a little training run at bottom next to check-in shack. There is only a portapotty so don't drink or eat too much for the 1 1/2 event. Happy New Year read more
